The secret behind the fans Daniel will keep for himself but I can tell you...Every once in a while, an artist is able to appropriate an ordinary object in such an extraordinary way that the object becomes lifelike; this is what Daniel Wurtzel has done with 'Magic Carpet.' The installation involves the creation of a vortex of wind by a circle of fans on the ground. When a sheet is placed in the center of the fans, it gets caught in this vortex of wind and puts on a marvelous and delicate 'dance' that is quite distinctly life-like.
Kristoffer Wallin Thats amazing. Btw, you followed me on Soundcloud, Skigh B. Not sure if you have heard my audio but I plan on doing more recordinhs and was wondering if we could collab on something..fundraise for a nonprofit or just for fun...but yes...at first I thought someone was dancing with it but then I realized...they were alive. Youre music is heavenly
THANK YOU very, very much for your support and kind words and...Thank you for your idea to collab on something. Right now I have a lot of projects going on and I do not have time to collab. We'll see what happens in the future. All my best! //Kristoffer
