  • How to install the K&T turbo kit on a 2015 Polaris RZR XP 1000 4 seater. Most parts will apply to all years of the XP 1000. For the record, K&T is among the best businesses i have ever worked with! I mean ever! This was no small task but honestly, they did such a good job building this turbo kit that everything went pretty smooth.

    Thanks for the video. I’m in the middle of putting the same kit on my rzr. We pulled the engine and did rods pistons and studs in the head and mains. Also ended up having k&t port my head on their Cnc and it looks amazing. I believe they also put over size valves in. Just got the engine in this evening and I keep referring to your vid for ideas on where to run everything. Thanks for the work and time you took to make the video.

      Thanks for the positive feedback. I appreciate it. I ended up having them build my motor as well! It seriously runs amazing! Glad the video was able to help. Out of curiosity, how did you find the video?

      I spent a lot of time searching on TH-cam for any kind of help on it and I believe k&t performance in the search pulled your video right up. Worked out perfect because my rig is literally exactly the same as yours except it was blue. Only complaint I have on the kit is lack of instructions but as you stated it appears everything fits real well.

    You can definitely do this with out taking the cage off. Nice video tho.

      Yeah you could for sure. Personally id rather have it open to work and record video, so I removed the cage mostly for ease of access.

    • @techandtoystuff
      @techandtoystuff  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@guillermomurcio6680 absolutely yes. On a built 1000 that wasn't Turbo to begin with, I run 91 octane on 10 psi. 110 octane on 11-20 PSI. And 116 octane on 20+ psi. The compression of your engine plus the amount of boost you run will determine when you should run race gas.

    First off Nice video bud. Second what kit is this and from where pricing? What all does it come with and most importantly what are the power #s with this kit? Also how is this with stock xp4 1000 motor internals?

    • @techandtoystuff
      @techandtoystuff  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The kit is from K&T Performance. The price for the kit is $5695 complete with everything. Not sure on the power numbers exactly. The stock motor handles it very well. I installed the kit with about 3000 miles on the stock motor with no issues. You can run about 7 PSI on stock internals.

    • @eltwitch9469
      @eltwitch9469 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm I'll have to take a look at it and get some info on numbers. I was thinking of just building my own kit as we do with our race cars "1/4mile" and just having a shop tune it. Thanks for the info @tech and toy stuff.

    How big was the difference in hp? If not dynod was it a big difference in ride?

    • @techandtoystuff
      @techandtoystuff  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At first it was a pretty good difference but I was only running on 10 lb of boost. Then I fully built the motor. And now I am running on 27 lb of boost if I turn it up all the way. So it's kind of a hard comparison, I didn't leave it on the stock motor for very long. But yeah I'd say it was a pretty good boost in power it definitely helped a lot.

    Hi guys - I saw that you use stock primary and
    secondary clutches - it's endurance enaugh with so much power?

    • @techandtoystuff
      @techandtoystuff  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They last for a little while. Installed STM clutches eventually though.

    • @techandtoystuff
      @techandtoystuff  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Edgar Ramos depends on your tune. With a good tune and the proper amount of boost/power per your build, it can be equally as reliable as stock.
