One thing i want to say, is that if you want to get into machine learning and data science, then pursuing python is a good idea, but learning it as your first Language may not be as good, as eventually you will have to shift to other languages (which developers have to because different companies use different languages) then it would become difficult as other languages like Java, C++ , JavaScript are different and more difficult from them. Also, due to its slow speed, python's popularity is decreasing. For web development, learn JavaScript with HTML and CSS along with a JavaScript Framework and some server side language. For games, i suggest using C# , JavaScript or even Python may be good. For blockchain, learn Rust. And i think your first Language should be of intermediate difficulty and have multiple usecases, like Java. That's just my opinion and i can be wrong. Hello, I have some background of c++, but it's been a while. I studied as a subject in 11th, 12th and college. But I can say I'll easily understand once I dust off few things in c++. Meanwhile i have to say that software development is a totally new territory for me. I wanted to explore software development so had a question in mind. What would you suggest on how i should start doing it? Should I take the python bootcamp and then check out few java courses or something else? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
@@abhisheksah3652 Hi. If you can recall the fundamentals of C++ (like variables, loops),then i would suggest to learn C++ as you are already familiar with it. Also, C++ is a good language in your case as you are already familiar with some of its concepts. Spend 3 to 4 months learning it and eventually you would get almost all concepts. C++ is mostly used for the server side(i.e Backend). After C++, you can go on learning Python if you want. But going to Java may be more useful as Java is a multi-purpose language. And for Web development, learn JavaScript with a front-end framework (like React, Angular, Vue, but I suggest React as it is more demand) and also some backend framework too, like Node.js . The thing is that as a developer, you still may have to learn a new Language when you get a job as different companies use different languages. Companies see how well you are at solving problems, not necessarily your language. But i suggested learning C++ as it is considered more difficult than many other languages. So making a shift to other languages would be easier, as you have already learned something that is difficult. All in all, problem solving is more important than the language you learn. Focus on learning data structures, as these are what are asked in Coding interviews. Practice them at a Website like Leetcode and you would eventually get them. Tried my best. @Raha Biswas Hi, first of all, i don't know what Niit is. But if it is software development related and you want to learn software development, then maybe I can help you. First i want to clarify that companies today look for you skills and how good you are at solving problems, not your degree. Of course, degree students have an upper hand as they are preferred, but if you are good enough, you can land a job at big tech companies. I know people with no Computer Science degrees, who started learning programming and are now engineers at companies like Google, Microsoft etc. All you have to do is first pick a language to learn (depends upon where is your interest, but i recommend your first language to be general-purpose and not too easy but also not too hard). If you are familiar with any language already, stick to it. Give it some time and practice and also build projects. By building projects, you solve problems you encounter and that's what a software engineer does. So, work hard and you will get it. Hope you got your answer. Happy Coding 👍
@Raha Biswas Well, i did not say to learn in classes. There is enough material online available at some cost or is free. Don't learn coding full time if you are not a student. Devote some time to it(1 or 1.5 hours a day). Udemy is a good place for courses. Just don't forget, watching others coding will do no good. You have to implement it yourself, else there is no meaning of coding. Happy Practicing

Being dwellers from a remote place of West Bengal it has only been possible to get in touch with your thoughts and so helpful ideas from platform like TH-cam. so, Thanks to technology, specially to TH-cam. For last few months it has become quite hard for me to understand how can I switch my career to a better one for the betterment of my career. Because being a temporary office assistant, working in MS office platform (excel, Word, PP) for more than past 6 years I felt myself less progrssive as well as paid less. I occasionally tried to make my work interesting by doing some small work related projects through VBA in Excel. But now I realise VBA' limitations to some extent. Being a graduate in English, in last year I took admission in Masters in NSOU. But my interest is in playing with Data (analysis). Truly admitting have immense interest in learning Python and Data Science for last two years. But everytime I thought for it and my entire energy drains thinking about course' fees and time it would take for completion, as well as about the future after learning the course. But a trillion of thanks to you sir from the bottom of my heart, making my vision clear on that. I will definitely complete learning my dream two courses Python and Data Science (Data Analysis) any how. One thing i want to say, is that if you want to get into machine learning and data science, then pursuing python is a good idea, but learning it as your first Language may not be as good, as eventually you will have to shift to other languages (which developers have to because different companies use different languages) then it would become difficult as other languages like Java, C++ , JavaScript are different and more difficult from them. Also, due to its slow speed, python's popularity is decreasing. For web development, learn JavaScript with HTML and CSS along with a JavaScript Framework and some server side language. For games, i suggest using C# , JavaScript or even Python may be good. For blockchain, learn Rust. And i think your first Language should be of intermediate difficulty and have multiple usecases, like Java. That's just my opinion and i can be wrong. I have some background of c++, but it's been a while. I studied as a subject in 11th, 12th and college. But I can say I'll easily understand once I dust off few things in c++. Meanwhile i have to say that software development is a totally new territory for me.
I wanted to explore software development so had a question in mind.
What would you suggest on how i should start doing it? Should I take the python bootcamp and then check out few java courses or something else?

@@abhisheksah3652 Hi. If you can recall the fundamentals of C++ (like variables, loops),then i would suggest to learn C++ as you are already familiar with it. Also, C++ is a good language in your case as you are already familiar with some of its concepts. Spend 3 to 4 months learning it and eventually you would get almost all concepts. C++ is mostly used for the server side(i.e Backend). After C++, you can go on learning Python if you want. But going to Java may be more useful as Java is a multi-purpose language. And for Web development, learn JavaScript with a front-end framework (like React, Angular, Vue, but I suggest React as it is more demand) and also some backend framework too, like Node.js . The thing is that as a developer, you still may have to learn a new Language when you get a job as different companies use different languages. Companies see how well you are at solving problems, not necessarily your language. But i suggested learning C++ as it is considered more difficult than many other languages. So making a shift to other languages would be easier, as you have already learned something that is difficult. All in all, problem solving is more important than the language you learn. Focus on learning data structures, as these are what are asked in Coding interviews. Practice them at a Website like Leetcode and you would eventually get them. Tried my best. Hope you got your answer.

@Raha Biswas Hi, first of all, i don't know what Niit is. But if it is software development related and you want to learn software development, then maybe I can help you. First i want to clarify that companies today look for you skills and how good you are at solving problems, not your degree. Of course, degree students have an upper hand as they are preferred, but if you are good enough, you can land a job at big tech companies. I know people with no Computer Science degrees, who started learning programming and are now engineers at companies like Google, Microsoft etc. All you have to do is first pick a language to learn (depends upon where is your interest, but i recommend your first language to be general-purpose and not too easy but also not too hard). If you are familiar with any language already, stick to it. Give it some time and practice and also build projects. By building projects, you solve problems you encounter and that's what a software engineer does. So, work hard and you will get it. Hope you got your answer.

@Raha Biswas Well, i did not say to learn in classes. There is enough material online available at some cost or is free. Don't learn coding full time if you are not a student. Devote some time to it(1 or 1.5 hours a day). Udemy is a good place for courses. Just don't forget, watching others coding will do no good. You have to implement it yourself, else there is no meaning of coding.

For last few months it has become quite hard for me to understand how can I switch my career to a better one for the betterment of my career. Because being a temporary office assistant, working in MS office platform (excel, Word, PP) for more than past 6 years I felt myself less progrssive as well as paid less. I occasionally tried to make my work interesting by doing some small work related projects through VBA in Excel. But now I realise VBA' limitations to some extent. Being a graduate in English, in last year I took admission in Masters in NSOU. But my interest is in playing with Data (analysis). Truly admitting have immense interest in learning Python and Data Science for last two years. But everytime I thought for it and my entire energy drains thinking about course' fees and time it would take for completion, as well as about the future after learning the course.

I don't like my stream as it is in Extension although I am working as a fellow researcher, it does not fascinate me and I feel stuck. When I saw your video I am excited about trying another stream. Sir i am 30 years old and right now I doing fashion designing and graduated in BCCA and both the courses I done because of family and financial pressure what I really want to become is CS but my family doesn't allow me back than and now I am taking a big chance with my life by enrolling myself in CS course and want to change my career. I am very nervous because it's been almost 9 years since I attended a class I am nervous but excited at the same time it's the complete opposite of the rules of society and people around me telling me that I am fool to start starting my studies in my 30s but I really wants to do it and I will do it.
