Thr Flashily flashing lazer beans subdue the Vaasippu mercilessly all thru.
Karnatic instrumental music is all simplicity and humbleness and so need no flashy stage and a couple of dumb "spectators" - I thought they were judges sitting to rate the maestros' performance! Showing faces or grimacing whenever the camera stares at them!!
Or may be some form of Audition?
Who knows, these days blistering stages blind the eyes and so we have to heavily rely on the videographer to give tight closeups to see who are performing or who are judging!!

@@maheshnambidi chenda is played with two sticks... others are played with 10 fingers and palms... so Chenda should compete with Parai... not with these type of instruments... I never heard Chenda is superior to Thavil and Mridangan ...in what way?? you are the first person to claim the most advanced engineering human hands are inferiour to 2 sticks... Mridangam, Tabla are played 2 hands and palms etc.. Tavil played with 5 fingers, palm and 1 stick....
chenda and parai do not go together or cant complement each other. I suggest you watch kathakali (kerala) and yakshagana (karnataka art) . Then you come to know chenda is not just a 'thaala vaadhiyam.' However, it doesnt suit with thavil or mridangam either...
