Honestly I really like this wonder and usually I play it pretty well. It is one of my favourite. Especially because it's like a granted caravan which I think is the most powerful card of the second age. Then if you also put the caravan with this wonder you become godlike
Both old and new editions are good. I like both sides but the nightside is better for me. I try to complete the first wonder plane as soon as possible in the first age so that is immediately available. if I can complete also the second stage at age 1 it's a really good headstart. In the second age I flash immediately the caravan if it's there otherwise i place one double source (wood is best) after the second plane is complete I think you can play whatever you want. In the end with a total of three or four brown card you can even cheaply build the palace in the final era
I don't exactly got why stage 2 of the night side is 'costly'. It is just 2 ores (since you get one from the previous one). A better argument argument would be that it is just a forum for a wonder who already has glass printed on it and that could already have bought a forum with the two clay of the first stage.
It requires you to have access to 3 ores. There is only one card in the whole game that needs 3 ores: red3 from age3. Generally you don't want 3 ores so it will be a forum that you will have to pay 2 gold for or buy an awkward double ore. That's why it's costly. You can see the difference in the old edition it used to be 2 wood and was ok, now it's just terrible.
Great post. Thank you. Just started playing regularly in a 3 player game. I keep losing with Alexandria so this guide was great .
Your knowledge about this game is just amazing !
Thank you! That just comes with expierence I guess :)

Great to hear, that people are enjoying it. Are you talking about new edition? What does your resource base look like at the end of the game usually?

You meant the two gold to buy the ore from. Fair enough.
@@fortunastreet Yes, exactly, I should have been more clear!
