For the double arm bird vase... I think a nest would look good where the other bird is missing. My favorite was the vessel that looked like a trophy. So beautiful. It would look so good with a small bouquet of seasonal flowers. Lots of great treasures. Love the thrill of the hunt!
Marilyn the ‘newbe’ here again ! This was great , as you suggested I watch on my journey through your videos!! Glad to be here !!!!! Loved ALL your stuff . ❤xx
I tried it the rub n buff was terrible. So I stripped it back to brass and painted everything but the base. I don’t as super sad to paint the wood but it turned out gorgeous. It will be on my buffet for my home tour.
The lamp definitely needs the gold top toned down a little. Whatever you decide to do, I would make sure all the metal areas match in colour. Loved the bird cage the most ❤
@@Stockpaperscissors check out my summer home tour you will see how the lamp turned out and the bird cage!! It’s so pretty 🥰ty so much for stopping by.
Junkstock sounds like just my place! LOVE all the great finds! I would really pick out a green that matches the leaves in the picture instead of having so much yellow with the flowers AND the frames.
Love your entire haul! ❤ The frame from Junkstock was gorgeous, as was the art print in it. The gold frame was amazing too and I love the vintage mirrored frame! It’s hard to pick a favourite piece. Lol. And that birdcage was everything! Wow! That $5 lamp was a great deal and has great bones! Amazing!
Oh my Goodness! I watched you when you lived in California! So glad you are posting again. I have always loved your style, and loved the cozy patio you had. Your home is beautiful as always!
The green bowl is most likely from early 70s it had a resurgence then. I also have the silver bird salt and pepper from upper scale department store in 1974 when married
Thank you for sharing your awesome haul love everything thing they're all my taste. Love the painting and frame but lets say once again love it all. Have a wonderful blessed Sunday and week.
It was so nice that the prices weren’t crazy expensive. I love that metal box you got and what a fabulous price, those go for much more on eBay. Can’t wait to see the fall and Christmas shows. I wish I lived close enough to attend. The vase you got from Amazon is a fabulous find too.
I can’t believe you found such beautiful items at junk fest. My absolute favorite was the floral print in that gorgeous chunky wood frame. You got a great deal on that. I loved the easel too. As soon as you showed it, I immediately thought of your floral print. The gold tones are perfect together. I love your lamp too. I love stained wood. It gives a warm touch to a room. I would use the rub and buff on the metal bands then paint the top portion where the sockets are in a matte black. Just a thought. ❤
I have that exact same metal birdcage and I didn't change mine either, I love it, I put old antique books with a small bird sitting on top the birdss. Those prints in those gorgeous frames and absolutely my favorite what a great find! You really hit the jackpot with all your purchases.
Green chair could cut a round hole in seat to set a planter pot in..i have one i style for every season with artifical silk flowers...the pics with yellow frames maybe a light whitewash to tone it down but still have your yellow undertones😮
It’s all beautiful ..the green glass looks like Viking glass it’s midcentury ..great deal ❤ the candy box is from the 20s vassar chocolates it was like a Mother’s Day piece ..the floral piece is a candlestick holder and it’s capodimonte which is really collectible..the yellow bird vase looks like Ucagco piece..we def have the exact same taste ..I have so many similar treasures ❤️
Love the birds kInda pricey though. The pink and green looks to be chipped a little kinda expensive too. I see you have a more expensive taste than I do. I do like what you bought though. Grandpa’s is more my pricing. A little rub and buff, don’t paint it. I love the Amazon vase with flowers. Green garden chair is your best find.
Imagine birds were pricey cause they are silver..but all in all the Junkstock finds are very nice and reasonably priced...in comparison to an antique mall for sure

I vote option 3 on the lamp because I think the wood is too beautiful to paint. You got some great finds!

She’ll see how the five dollar lamp turns out. I am using it for my spring home tour so I still gotta spray paint it.

Love all the vintage items you bought 👍 I really like the green chippy chair and the floral painting !

Hi, enjoyed your video, loved the floral picture so much , especially on the easel.

The flower candleholder is Capodimont, Italian porcelain. ❤
Great finds thanks for sharing.
I love all the artworks!
Everything was so pretty, love it!
Leave the yellow frames,so pretty
I agree because it makes the flowers pop!!

Ty so much for all the information. Definitely helped with era details.
@@MySimpleValleyHome you are very welcome 🤗 glad I could help a little ..it’s all so beautiful 😍
Your finds were amazing. We have very similar tastes!
Yay! Thank you! I just went with what spoke to me. That’s how I shop now.
The candy box is quite old. It looks like 1930/40’s. Cottage scene.
I would call the second item a pedestal compote rather than a tray. I believe it's likely mid-century.

Yes the bird thing was pricey. But I loved it. I think the rose was cheaper then $20 but I did pretty good as far as my finds.
