    Where do you think Interest Rates are Headed?

    • @TheNewSchoolGamer
      @TheNewSchoolGamer 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My guess is rates will decline over the next 12-18 months. The pace depends on how the feds handles their idiotic immigration policies moving forward

      0.25

    0.25 drop is not going to make a difference big picture. We have to reduce taxes and stop piling up the deficit.
    As consumers stop buying stupid stuff and over extending ourselves.

    Question:
    A: Do governments gain more power through peace?
    B: Do governments gain more power through chaos?
    I think we know what is being staged here with immigration that makes no sense.

    Canada needs to flush this Federal Government and Pierre needs to send a message to the world Canada is back. Invest in our bank of natural resources and make Canada wealthy. Enough of the Woke vanity. Get back to majority rule.

    Need an election now. We have lost all confidence in this current Trudeau government. Just replacing Canadians with Foriegn cheap labor at a time when we need wages to rise. Now removing the language requirement. Miller admits we can't trust any documents submitted by India nationals regarding criminal record checks so let's just let them all in. Totally makes sense.

    There is no need to guess. It is already happening. My spouse was approached in order to get a letter in order to bring a friend's cousin here as a caregiver. As, PM said, prices should not go down, whatever it takes.

  • @gabrielprandini2629
    @gabrielprandini2629 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I'm so relieved to see someone who's using reason to push back on this. You nailed it on the caregiver program, may sound good but will translate into people abusing the system and straight up lying, with the added problem of putting the most vulnerable on harms way.

    Hi! Some mortgage brokers are saying 0.25% cut in variable for each $100,000 it's about $15, but you are saying it's around $21. It's a different way, are you talking about a different thing, please? If you can explain it's $15 and why and how it;"s $21 and why? Thank you

    • @wiseoldowlshow
      @wiseoldowlshow  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      0.25% interest cut on $100,000 = $250 annually in interest savings. Divided by 12 monthly payments, its $20.83 per month in interest cost savings. Payment wise it could be less as more payment will go towards principal reduction.

    All this will do is convince the majority mindless debtors who were filling their diapers that everything is fine now. It's funny how not paying 70 more dollars in repayments can influence people so wrongly.
    In reality , nothing has changed of any significance. Mortgage rates are still 5-6%+ and credit lines still need repayment.

    Why is low sale always bad.?
    Its good from buyers perspective

    • @DB-bw5fz
      @DB-bw5fz 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      On the surface yes. Low sales can signify a change in the market overall though which can be problematic.
      People talk about scooping up cheap homes in a downturn, but what is most often missed is that you need to have the cash on hand before that happens.
      When home prices start falling, sentiment changes. People that are on a financial edge may try to sell their homes before prices drop too far, which in turn helps drives prices lower. Lending practices tend to get more restrictive, as banks want to reduce their risk. Buyers get more power, but the may also shy away, as buying in an environment where home prices are declining represents a major risk to their own finances as well.
      It’s only when prices and the economy show signs of stability again that you go back to the “good times” so to speak.

    The rise in your home's monthly insurance cost will offset any savings with minimal cuts in interest rates. Also, the cuts dont impact fixed rate mortgages.

      We are losing long-term care workers to other min-wage jobs. Nobody wants to deal with Dementia patients and people who need 'cleaning' for a $2 wage spread vs a person who stocks shelves at a big box retailer. Canada is completely Fk'd.

      Multiply that by about 45 to convert to Pesos and alot of it goes back to the Philippines. When they retire, they go back to the Philippines. The don’t give af about citizenship, etc. It’s all about the $$$. Of course I am generalizing but the vast majority do this.

    You forgot to add the new rules for CAPITAL GAINS TAX. This will definitely get rid of the middleclass sector. All inheritance entitlements, trusts, gifts, etc. fall into this. Also more money for the CRA, as they restructure the BARE TRUST rules. The TAXMAN COMETH and the late George Harrison (R.I.P.) was right.
