What a beautiful day we had driving from the City of Harare to my home town, a journey which would have taken us about 3-4 hours if all was well but due to road conditions it took us about 7 hours. Despite this Zimbabwe remains the best, as home is always best and I believe all be well one day. The local people were amazing and always happy to chat with. Maria, its a long journey just for one week. Countryside is very green. I like your Harare garden - lots of interesting plants. Used to live in Byo many many years ago. Thanks for sharing your video 👍
Thank you for watching. You are right it’s long way for a short period indeed but unfortunately our circumstances could not allow us to stay longer. We however, thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Such a beautiful country and I could not get enough of my brothers garden😊. I visited to BYO as child but I would love to visit hopefully next time.I love historical buildings and BYO has so much to offer as far as I know😊
Diamonds are created through pressure, to my Zimbabwe Family the best is yet to come , try not to be like the colonizers Charting our own course is where our God will meet us , not on the path of the wicked ones who try to place stumbling blocks in out path Stay focused, Zimbabwe will be a beacon for the stolen ones , be strong seek collaboration with those you are like minded, let the spirit of freedom soars in your heart, it’s God not man! Much love from 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Welcome to Maria Hamz and thank you for your comments. Indeed Zimbabwe will be great again as you rightly say , we keep trusting in God. As I was driving around Zim I could see evidence of good things coming ahead. One love!
Seeing you drive through Chinhoyi, it as not changed in over50 years and I remember all the shop and places in the town. I went to Chinhoyi High School and live in Kariba.🤗
How nice to hear from a Karibean. Yes indeed it still looks the same only some shops and roads are a bit rundown. I can’t wait to see the rehabilitated roads hopefully soon as our country is so beautiful. We need more local and international tourists to visit our land as it’s got so much potential. I am here to showcase our continent and hopefully inspire others to travel as well😊
Yes ,they are now so good but I am sure they will be fixed but for now you just have to be more careful and take your time😊We were also taking some short breaks which added to our overall travelling time.
Why prioritize English over our African languages ? I am sure your British/ English audience all know how to use the translate window online ? Great video shooting ,enjoyed watching it. Good job.
Welcome to my channel and thank you for taking time to comment. Yes, it’s beautiful but being a wildlife area there is a possibility of coming across snakes but not very often this happens.
Thank you for watching and for your comments. I will try my best to add some names of places as I travel by next time. I love it when my followers take part in improving my channel as I want it to be of value as much as it enjoyable😊Welcome to Maria Hamz Team.
Oh how lovely to hear that you are a fellow Karibean. Welcome and thank you for watching my video and for taking you valuable time to comment. Home is the best 🥰
Thank you Aunt Judy. It was lovely to be home and to experience both Zimbabwe and bit of Zambia. More videos loading soon so keep watching and sharing with friends and family so they can also enjoy 😊
You are absolutely right it’s so beautiful and I realised we don’t see the beauty of things in the moment. Now that I don’t live in Zim I appreciate my country more and I hope more diasporians can continue to visit and support our country. Thank you for watching and taking your valuable time to comment. Welcome to Maria Hamz.

I really enjoyed the video until the 19 minute mark, i feel that can you speak in English part was unnecessary honestly. Even that girl' confidence was destroyed.
Thank you for watching and welcome. The ‘can you speak English part , was only to ask the young lady to do so if she can , in a nice way. I was not in the video otherwise you could have seen how I was interacting with the sellers in a friendly way. This was only to help as we have other viewers here who may not understand Shona but not to shame her. I just thought as she looked young she may not mind being spoken to in English.Sometimes it can actually boost someone’s confidence as well but I am not here to debate and I can only apologise if this offended anyone here. I love and respect everyone I interact with so this was by no means mearnt in the way it may be viewed. Thank you however for your comment as I respect all my viewers opinion. This channel aims to show positive vibes only so i will always try to maintain that😊
@MariaHamz-zo9kl I totally understand your point but if you see the girl's react as she come at first she was all smiling and very confident as as soon as you said can you speak in English she was still smiling but not as she was and she just went quiet, you can tell her confidence was lost. It is maybe she was not expecting it because some people are just comfortable with mother language. Please don't get me wrong I enjoyed your videos thats why I keep watching them and they are very informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work.
Hi Kuda. Apologies if you felt that way. Pls check my explanation in the comments section. This was not meant to be viewed in the way you may feel but you have your opinion. If you get to know me you would understand that I am by no means a person who would say anything bad to someone. This channel is for positive vibes only and will not allow any negative feelings towards any of my viewers, participants or myself. I suggest you keep following this channel to be able to understand what it’s all about. I appreciate your time to express your feelings. One Love.
Very distasteful indeed. The lady abva atopusa. Instead of asking pple to speak in English she can put a commendary of what the conversation was all about.
Thank you for your opinion but I feel this clip is being highlighted in the wrong way but I am not going to defend myself anymore on this incident because I am not such a person that this clip may portray. At the end of the day I cannot change your opinion. I cannot please everyone as long as I know I am good person. Thank you however for taking your time to comment😊

Zimbabwe suburbs are like Zambian ones ; big yards , lots of natural trees and houses are hidden behind wallfences.
You are so right I also realised the same as visited both countries. Beautiful houses indeed😊

Yes ,they are now so good but I am sure they will be fixed but for now you just have to be more careful and take your time😊We were also taking some short breaks which added to our overall travelling time.
