I love when the higher pitched pads enter in. I can't tell if they're playing ever so slightly out of tune, or just a scale I'm not used to hearing, but it totally throws my brain a curve ball. The first time I ever heard it it was a little bit of a brainfuck.

I wonder how complex might music be on modular? I thought that some kinds of idm or breakcore would be impossible or near to impossible on full analog setup because of complexity, but you or venetian snares prove me wrong with your videos (well, if he doesnt use renoise for sequencing, and you are 100% modular anyway)

breakcore benefits from using trackers( octamed, noise trakker , renoise ) , in which you can give specific commands like retrigger , slice , cut ..per sample on a per line /step basis ...iow ..the sequencing part of a tracker is fantastic .
Modern modular modules have a lot of intersting digital modules ( karplus strong , waveguide , modal synthesis , wavetable etc ...) , and ofcourse some interesting sequencer modules .
Or you could use your pc/mac to seq.your modular midi --> cv

thanks for answer :) yeah i heard about trackers, even saw some renoise videos I was just thinking whether it was possible to do such ambitious music like complex forms of breakcore, using only modular hardware, in realtime live mode (need to have tons of modules i guess). Sequencers look interesting for me, as i personally dislike classic piano rool but step seqs of vatious formats look inspiring. Like, radial seqs etc. Or combined means of controller/seqs like Serge TKB or Make Noise pressure points x brains x ??? setup i ve seen in videos (though dont understand them well haha)

btw i noticed you have TE OP-1? I was also thinking about it in the past in relation to such music, i thought that by tape manipulation of sequences/recordings you could do some breakcorish rhythms out of it, huh...

I had one , sold it because of it's limited synth engines .
other then that , it's a nice piece of gear to get down ideas and fast sketches ..
