TW it reminds me of victims of sexual abuse. if i ever had the chance to see my perpetrator locked up in chains I would yell at them with so much pent up anger, about how much theyve ruined me and why did they have to do that to me. Korra's VA captured it nicely I really did feel every anger and frustration in her voice as she yelled at Zaheer
@@LettsReact I have been here from the very first tiktok letts react when you asked what she thought of ZUKO. And you were looking at us breaking the third wall... Followed you from there to here. One thing I like about Zaheer is that he's the one villain who _never_ underestimated Korra. She had his complete respect as a threat and avatar from day one. Which is why he's the only villain she never defeated in any capacity. Everyone else, she beat when she came back for round two, but Zaheer took her too seriously to give her that chance.
@@LettsReact In reference to 23:07, I always thought that was an extension of her energy-bending ability (as opposed to a brand new ability). In any case, I'm especially looking forward to both your next Korra reaction & your 1st She-Ra reaction (hopefully both parts bc it's a 2-part episode & it'd be really hard to wait a month for the 2nd part).
I love how Izumi has 1 minute of screen time and is just right in everything she said. Involving the Fire Nation in the conflict would only make Kuvira gain more political and military power
That is actually what happened with Germany after their rebuilding in the 70's when the cold war were starting. The inaction of the previous Axis member countries lead to the continuation of proxy wars during the cold war era. U.N and EU at the time were being grown as a power and an ideological high-ground of diversity and community. NATO were like the AIRBENDER who would act proactively, U.N and E.U will not act due to historical precedence. And that's how the Conservative Ideology of U.S.S.R and U.S still prevailed and damaged all parts of the world.
"Raava, I missed you, where have you been?" 'I have always been inside of you' One of my favourite moments ever, Raava and the avatar are bonded forever, and Korra's smile when she finds Raava again in herself is so precious, a beautiful underrated moment
can we talk about the development of Mako and Korra's *friendship* I love that they've been able to move past their past drama and can actually be very close and caring friends
Agreed. Their friendship and how it's developed is actually one of my favourite parts about watching TLOK. (And it's also heavily underrated in my opinion)
@@Ironluke_2001 completely!! I know everyone talks about their relationship being bad and toxic (and in ways it was) but there is no denying that they are built on loyalty, and love. Seeing them regrow as strong friends and still maintaining that love and trust was so amazing and *very* underrated
When Korra got to Zaheer and he helped him, it stuck with me not because it was awesome and unexpected, but also for a more personal reason. When I first watched the episode, I was going through some tough times (though not as tough as Korra), but when Zaheer said "Accept what happened to you, don't fear what might have been", it was as if it just clicked within me. After accepted the things that happened to me, I could finally move on and felt better than I had in about 2 years. So in a way, I have Zaheer to thank for getting the hardest period of my life so far.
I love the writers of this season. They really did their research because this is something that they teach in a lot of different therapies, especially trauma therapy, called Radical Acceptance. In order to tackle problems and fix them, you first have to acknowledge that they exist and you experience them. Just because you accept your situation doesn't mean that you approve of it, or that you want to be there, but you have to accept where you are before you can move forward.

I feel like low key Iroh could correct some of his thinking. Zaheer isn’t an Unalaq, where all he wants is power. He wants balance, but is misguided on how to achieve it. I think Iroh could have a BIG impact on some of the issues that come with that ideology
"You think your power has limits , i say its limitless" you know why zaheer is the best villain, even when he is not the main villain this season he still got a big impact for korra
I guess the reason is that in ATLA fire nation had quite a lot screen time, so they were exploring different areas in LOK than fire nation related (especially with bending like fights water vs water etc.).
You mean any of the fire nation. We haven't seen any of the fire nation at all, except for that prison Ming Hua was in, but that doesn't count because it was probably White Lotus jurisdiction. I'm really disappointed that there wasn't any of it in LOK
I love how both Korra and Asami solve things up with the mens that hurted them the most. And Asami leting her father reach for her, giving him ,the only family member se had left and for sure someone that she still loves and care about ,a chance of redem himself
Really got to admire Izumi for her restraint, she acknowledges the past atrocities her nation committed and wants to forge a better path for it by not fighting endless wars.
@@moneylover318 because of the family history with the avatar. Izumi may say no to the leaders but I think she may have a harder time saying no if an avatar asked her
This episode for me really proves how good the writers are in the way they bring back Zaheer, we knew what he stood for and he sticks to those rules, for lack of a better word, he is honourable. Not only that but the visuals and the choice of words around Korra and her PTSD throughout the season are on point. This season is damn amazing.
I just love that Mako was there for Korra during her healing process when she opened up on her struggle with Zaheer, the “i’m here for you, what do you need?” line from Mako always makes me smile.
The music 'To Heal' during the scene with zaheer is amazing!! It ends with Korra's motif, symbolizing Korra's journey, where she has finally arrived at the state of balance that is physically, mentally and spiritually.
Jeez. You guys are almost done with Korra. I honestly can’t believe it. I remember whenever Montana was reacting to ATLA. Really going to miss it. But, there are some great shows that you guys asked us to vote for, so hopefully only good stuff to come!
My love for that scene between Korra and Zaheer cannot be put into words. Like, I actually love it. I guess I love it for the same reasons you guys said, but like, that’s my favorite scene in the entire show. Also wow Kuvira, you’ve somehow done the impossible and proved that Unalaq had a point about disrespecting the spirits
I love your channel! I don't really know what to say, but you are so respectful with all the themes that appears on screen and analyses it before hating it. You both are so nice and your reactions are the closest I have of "watching a show without know anything" again. You are my second "first watch", and that's very special to me. Well, we are almost done with Korra, and I need to say it: thank you, very much. Hope you just become better and better, because you are my favorite react channel. Again, thank you for all those great moments!
I think Zaheer deserves a redemption arc for sure. anyone capable of redemption deserves it. Zaheer has never been a villain, just an extremely principled and courageous individual who lost his way.
I'm gonna be honest. I was only here for the Korra reactions, but seeing all your Korra reactions was so fun, I kinda want to stick around for another series. I would like to see Attack on Titan next.
Wu's plan to deal with Kuviera is actually a reference to the fate of Napoleon who was banished to an island after being defeated. Furthermore, the entire situation with the earth kingdom and Kuviera mimics the state of France following the French Revolution.
Plz watch Attack on titan it probably has one of the most gorgeous art styles ive seen and I say this because of all the attention to detail as well as the soundtrack it does not disappoint just watch for yourselves its very worth it
I can’t believe we’re getting to the last few episodes, I loved going on this Korra journey with you guys, and I hope you’ll get to react to the Korra comics. There are actually some live readings of Turf Wars with the original voice actors including Janet (Korra), Seychelle (Asami), PJ (bolin), David (Mako) and Mindy (Lin), and even motion comics on TH-cam, so that would be so fun to watch!! Also really excited for She-ra reactions, can’t wait!
Also there's another fact, probably confirmed by creators, but I can't find the source. She's younger than Iroh, but he's so devoted to the United Forces that he decided to refuse his right to crown making his sister the next successor of the fire throne
I wish more people would notice how Korra lost weight and also lost quite a bit of muscle, that's also part of her trauma and not feeling like her self again. Watch how thin she is in comparison with previous seasons. The detail of this show amaze me every time
I think the scene with Zaheer presents such an interesting counterfactual: What would Korra's education have been like had the Red Lotus managed to take her away from the WL when she was young? Would she have been as likely to side against the Equalists? Would she have had as much trouble entering the spirit world? What were their plans for teaching airbending?
same its like the red lotus was a prefect match for korra teacher wise. the few interactions korra has with zaheer besides fighting are always learning moments for her, also the way he talks to her is as if he is coming from a place of being on the same level he doesn't talk down to her he talks with her
the reason the vines were taking people is the same reason hei-bai spirit (the big panda spirit) took people in book 1 of avatar, they are angry and lashing out.
Yea I know… that’s what I meant with my comment. That’s why Wu asks if she has allergies, because he doesn’t know if she does or not 😂 and that’s what I meant when Wu “implies” they try and take her out with an allergic reaction [if she has any allergies]. I guess I should’ve used a different word like “theorizing” or something? I think my comment makes sense though 😂
I love how they dealt with Korra's PTSD and her trauma. Because healing, recovery, it's not a linear process. And they did a beautiful job showing us her path to recovery.
A nice detail to point out is that when Korra is going through her trauma with Zaheer, we see her falling down like she did when she had those chains to drag Zaheer down. However in THIS version she doesn’t have on those chains, symbolizing that she’s no longer chained down by her trauma and that she’s finally free.
Bolin goes FULL HIMBO like 98 times in this episode and it's so endearing. He's gotten older and wiser and seen more of the world but he still has that same sweet heart and pure intent. He and Opal are good for each other.
Opal is so sweet and gentle most of the time, but the writers made absolutely sure we NEVER question she's a Beifong. I think Bolin (and Kenny) pooped his pants. xD
I have so much to unpack about Kuvira's treatment of the spirit vines and the banyan grove tree. Buuuuuut it uses information from episodes not seen yet so I'll dump it all on the finale reaction.
But I will say that my interpretation of what happened to Jinora and the tour group is this: The vines don't think and feel exactly how humans do. They're not making distinctions between friend and foe. They just see intruders. And with Republic City still pretty unstable (so much spiritual energy but no clear care or channel), the vines are erratic and dangerous to humans. So as the vines attacked Kuvira and her army at the tree, so the vines also attacked intruders in Republic City.
OMG SHE-RA I AM SO HAPPY IT IS ONE OF MY FAVES! It is such a good transition after LOK and really digs deep on trauma. Somehow it still keeps light hearted.
I think the powerful thing about zaheer helping korra is what toph told her. She can learn something from her enemies. More of a highlight for Zaheer is a Korra's growth moment. Allowing him to help her and learn from him
As someone whos been in outpatient care, and met a good amount of people working through trauma, i LOVE the message of "moving forward, not moving on."
Most of the stuff with Korra herself is, but some of the other stuff is a bit groan inducing. I wish Bolin would have stopped being himself a little more after finding out that he was working for the bad guys. Aang in ATLA was at his most interesting during the times his usual bright and happy demeanor took a big hit.
This has to be one of The Best reactions episodes you guys have done. From Montana's surprise to Zaheer, to Kenny's honest neutral overview of his motivations, to your analysis of the theme and motif of the story plot. Also, Kenny, get ready. Your boy Bolin is about to steal the show. Not with operation Beifong (possibly one of The coolest episodes in LoK), but the last couple of episodes. This is what you have been waiting for!
I think the vines are one singular being. So, when kuvira started chopping the vines, they started attacking everybody that got close to them, thinking that they were under attack
I feel for Bolin in that moment so hard. There’s not a whole lot more terrifying then your SO giving you that look and tone. Scares me too Kenny. Scared me too.
Kenny was just sitting there like *opal goes off on Bolin* "oh man, NO I thought this was the one time of day I was able to get away from it noooooo!!"
I love so much that you will watch Shera, i've just started this series no long ago and nobody from my friends wants to see it with me, i will love to watch your reactions to it, thank you! Next one, Young Justice please :D
Zaheer's character is so interesting. I have to be honest, Korra confronting him, and him helping her heal from the PTSD *he inflicted* gave me very mixed emotions. It was great to see Korra basically tell him "screw you" and move on with her life. I definitely think he has a lot farther to go before he can be redeemed. But this was a good start. How many people can relate to Korra confronting someone who is essentially her abuser? It's so awesome the show handled such a sensitive topic tastefully.
I’m not ready for the series to end, I feel like I know you guys on a personal level💔😩 might have to watch some of these new series just so I can watch your reactions😂
13:16 Remember Kora in Book 1 and 2? That Korra would have argued with tenzin after her refusal, but this new Korra just keeps her cool and I love it, great character development
I liked korras literal breakthrough. She kept getting stuck at that moment everytime she tried to go into the spirit world. Her acceptance of what happened was what was needed. She had to let the entire moment play out. And I dont think it was redemption for zaheer. I think it was more just being helpful. Sure he caused it. That doesn't mean though that he can't be helpful. I wouldnt even call it good.
To answer your question the vines were just taking people because kuvira was taking the vines, and what Korra did in the spirit world was energy bending.
I'm glad this show doesnt treat mental health like you can do one little thing and everything is fine now. It doesnt sugar coat anything. Trauma doesnt just disappear
When Zaheer said "Its limitless" I got chills. And when u think bout that, its true. The Avatar have Raava powers inside it, Raava, together with Vaatu, are the universe, they are basically the personification of the reality. The light and the dark, the balance, the universe. If the Avatar learn how to use Raava full power, he would be unstoppable, he would become a God.
PhD in clinical psych here. Notice how every time Korra has had a flashback or vision she's tried to fight it or run from it (fight or flight). She has been trying to escape and avoid. Zaheer lead her to mentally expose herself to the experience and mindfully accept it. Acceptance is not the same as liking or approving. It is simply an acknowledgment of what is. It was a traumatic experience... AND... she can still direct her attention and behavior in the present moment towards a valued direction. The go-to therapies for PTSD are Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These therapies encourage the supervised processing of a traumatic experience to reduce the hold that it has over a person's current behavior.

Okay but can we talk about how gorgeous Korra is this season, SHE'S SOO PRETTY!!! and I love the short hair
Really got to admire Izumi for her restraint, she acknowledges the past atrocities her nation committed and wants to forge a better path for it by not fighting endless wars.
The only thing that confuses me though even though I support what she said 100% why would her son be so sure she would help korra in season 2
@@moneylover318 because of the family history with the avatar. Izumi may say no to the leaders but I think she may have a harder time saying no if an avatar asked her
@@isaiahcaston4539 my guess would be not send an army but make it voluntary?
Yet y’all mad at raiko
Accept what happened to you ~ don’t fear what might have been. This honestly helped me in many ways than one 💞
The one time that the Fire Nation refused to attack
"When the Fire Nation DIDN'T attack"
I love how the show acknowledges that Korra shouldn't forget what happened to her, but rather accept it and let it make her stronger.
Totally not me simping for Korra with that thumbnail-
After seeing how Zaheer healed Korra in a moment I kind of remembered his line
"With us as your elemental masters, you could have achieved so much"
I just love that Mako was there for Korra during her healing process when she opened up on her struggle with Zaheer, the “i’m here for you, what do you need?” line from Mako always makes me smile.
Kuvira is such a great villain that she can justify arguably the most hated villain in ATLA/LOK. 😂
Appreciate the support :) thanks for watching!!!
I love how they gave Korra a new look, it suits her really well
I can’t wait for the next episode it has to be my favorite in s4
I think Zaheer deserves a redemption arc for sure. anyone capable of redemption deserves it. Zaheer has never been a villain, just an extremely principled and courageous individual who lost his way.
I'm gonna be honest. I was only here for the Korra reactions, but seeing all your Korra reactions was so fun, I kinda want to stick around for another series. I would like to see Attack on Titan next.
Please stick around!! We will watch attack on Titan for sure at some point, and currently it is slated to be the show we watch on Thursdays!
Wu's plan to deal with Kuviera is actually a reference to the fate of Napoleon who was banished to an island after being defeated. Furthermore, the entire situation with the earth kingdom and Kuviera mimics the state of France following the French Revolution.
Korra is such an amazing show. Those that don't understand the depth of it, beyond the bending are truly missing out.
I love rewatching this serie with you, it’s like the first time all over again!

Thanks for loving my comment.
You should watch Clone Wars
Plz watch Attack on titan it probably has one of the most gorgeous art styles ive seen and I say this because of all the attention to detail as well as the soundtrack it does not disappoint just watch for yourselves its very worth it
Pls watch shera
Great comment
Music in Korra doing a lot of atmosphere work
I can’t believe we’re getting to the last few episodes, I loved going on this Korra journey with you guys, and I hope you’ll get to react to the Korra comics.
Everything changed when the Fire Nation *didn't* attack!
Funfact: Izumi's daughter was supposed to have a romantic plot with Mako, but Nick said 'budget cut' :
Also there's another fact, probably confirmed by creators, but I can't find the source. She's younger than Iroh, but he's so devoted to the United Forces that he decided to refuse his right to crown making his sister the next successor of the fire throne
Izumi should have the sane age Kya,Bumi,Tenzin,Lin or Suiyin.
On top of that she should have an husband.
@@stefanocremonini2656 the comment clearly states izumi’s DAUGHTER.
@@stefanocremonini2656 She is. They're talking about her unseen daughter.

What were their plans for teaching airbending?
same its like the red lotus was a prefect match for korra teacher wise. the few interactions korra has with zaheer besides fighting are always learning moments for her, also the way he talks to her is as if he is coming from a place of being on the same level he doesn't talk down to her he talks with her
Opal: we must save my family!
Kirito: *GAAARY!!!?**
Kirito: Excuse me, I have to go say hi to an old friend, won’t be a minute lol
Zaheer has gone from evil to neutral
More like maliciously fanatic to neutral if you don't mind me saying
the reason the vines were taking people is the same reason hei-bai spirit (the big panda spirit) took people in book 1 of avatar, they are angry and lashing out.
I love that little detail where Wu slightly implies they take Kuvira out with an allergic reaction 😂
Pretty sure that was just Wu theorising and Kuvira doesn't really have any known allergies.
"Maybe he's learned from his mistakes in the past!"
"Well he still has that mustache, so I don't know about that..." 😂😂😂 GIRL
But I will say that my interpretation of what happened to Jinora and the tour group is this:
The vines don't think and feel exactly how humans do.
YESSSSSS SHE RA YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE IT YES PERFECT IN TIME FOR PRIDE MONTH HAPPY PRIDE MONTH BTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is definitely the daughter of Mai and zuko
Wisdom comes from unlikely places
Since Zaheer spends most of his time in the Spirit World, I wonder if he has made some connections with the spirits?
OMG SHE-RA I AM SO HAPPY IT IS ONE OF MY FAVES! It is such a good transition after LOK and really digs deep on trauma. Somehow it still keeps light hearted.
This is one of my favorite episodes of season 4 - It provides the happy chemicals to my brain
I think the powerful thing about zaheer helping korra is what toph told her. She can learn something from her enemies. More of a highlight for Zaheer is a Korra's growth moment. Allowing him to help her and learn from him
Just Like That Korra Is 100% And Fully Realized Avatar😍
Yes yes yes. I found you for the 80th time. If I don't see you in a korra video, I know there is a problem😅😅
As someone whos been in outpatient care, and met a good amount of people working through trauma, i LOVE the message of "moving forward, not moving on."
Korras voice actor sounded amazing in this episode, + the music is👌🏻
"The only thing worse than the Avatar is Kuvira"
I'm dead 🤣🤣🤣
Shows how great of a villain Kuvira is.
Something I noticed is that the friendship between water and firebender's is always exceptionally strong. Korra/Mako, Katara/Zuko
Season 4 is really just amazing. I can't. It's so beautifully written!
I think juniors feels the vibrations of energy in the air
15:32 The moment you realize that even though Opal's super sweet, she's still a Beifong😳
9:08 I love how the captions say, “the Bae fongs are teaming up” 🤣 It’s Lin and Opal, so I’d say it’s pretty accurate
I literally can not wait to see your reactions to the final episode of Korra. I just know you're going to love it!
“Thank you Raiko, first good decision of the show”
Raiko sucks counter +1
*glaring at steven universe and RWBY*
"Why would he do that?" Like the man said, it makes perfect sense that Zaheer would help take down a dictator.
That Danny Phantom reference edit was brilliant 🤣
Zuko must've been the father he never had for Izumi and Iroh Jr to turn out the way they did 🥰💙
This episode was so good I loved how korra had to face her literal demon Zaheer and was able to overcome her PTSD with his help.
I definitely think the vines were taking people as a way of countering the loss of their own energy, spirit or otherwise.
The vines were being cut down my theory for why the tree is taking people is because they need their energy restored
I thought it was really cool how it was Zaheer who helped Korra accept what happened to her
