Something about Hooktail devouring the audience onscreen in an official Mario game is just hilarious to me. Aside from the standard losing a life, you don’t see onscreen death much in this series. It’s such an out of left field piece of dark humor and I love it

Just entered Hooktail's Castle on my run. Had soooo much fun going through Petal Meadows, fighting all the low level enemies, and playfully hating on the Fuzzies. Totally tanked the Thwomp game show so I could fight the 4 spiked clefts and insta-win with a POW block (20 star points). Can't wait to boot it back up. Hopefully Nintendo will do the same for the original Paper Mario, would love to have Goombario, Kooper, Bow, Lackilester and the rest of the companions (not to mention Tubba Blubba and the Star Spirits) be given the same treatment!
We might get it on the Switch successor, if this game is successful. But the battle system would be a downgrade since it's pretty simple comparing to the masterpiece of Thousand-Year Door, even though it is still pretty charming and engaging. Maybe Nintendo would adds something to it or just leave as it is?

Go to the end and go down the side not shown and you will find it. I know because I just got it... on the original. I amagin it is in the remake to because the others I found was in the remake. (Second-biggest is that they also didn't remove the "breaking the 4th wall" dialogue, which I find both patronizing and asinine, but that's a whole other discussion.) And don't let this gripe detract from the fact that I love this game, adored the remake by and large, and am ecstatic that we can play it on the Switch now :)

Damn the american translation is COMPLETELY different to german, german feels more like a mario game, while english feels like TTYD I remember.
This is going to sound silly but with Mario RPG I'm severely struggling with the timing of the attack/defend. I've played at least 3 hours and finally just gave up cause it wasn't going well.
