@@GSmithkayakangling Nice. What sort of ground did you catch it over? I havn't caught one before but was wondering what sort of topography they frequent...Thanks!!

@@GSmithkayakanglingThat's very helpful thank you! I have a particular location, two reefs a few hundred feet apart, but not very big, 4 miles off an island in the west coast of scotland. There are often lots of mackerel but also coalies in biiiig shoals. Usually not very big, but many of them. The reef comes to about 50 ft of water and is surrounded by 100ft deep water. Would it be worth drifting over this? Any chance for porgies or too shallow? Thanks again and subbed.
Hi mate gunna be over ireland sometime soon was hoping to do some porbeagle fishing never done it before im a pike angler but want to do some shark fishing do you do guided days out or are you just a pleasure Angler great catch cheers Andrew
@@andrewtully4458 if you don't have your own kayak a boat is the only way for you. It takes a good bit of practice before tackling porbeagle from a kayak. There is a charter boat here that could take you out. You can get me on facebook as Graham Smith and I'll add you to a chat with him.
Great fish .I've had bronze whalers and hammerhead outta kayak in n.z.nothing like the Buzz when u realise you could end up in the water with a very annoyed shark....miss that.
I am in Inishowen co.Donegal. 20 mins from Derry. I can run you through the basics if you want. The kayak is an Ocean kayak Trident 13. My number is 00353 868899260
I don't see ant release.... I see a catch, a stressed out shark... and random photos... where's the evidence of this shark being released and swimming away alive and not sinking
Great post production! Had no idea porbeagles were on both sides of the pond!
Excellent job Graham. Well done. Lovely fish
Thanks Duncan, I'm glad you liked it.
That is one hell of a creature to catch from our shores on rod and line fair play i would love to learn how to catch one.
Cheers Shame, heavy gear and lots of action in the bait is the answer to catching them.
@@GSmithkayakangling what class rod would you recommend line ring ect when fishing for porbegals
Rig***
You've got some balls very well fished 👍
This should have 4m views. Up the hills
Thanks Barrel Man.
Great video. Easy watched when they're this length
Cheers Cormac.
They look like Makos. There is one in the Natural History Museum .
Really cool video. Careful with those hands
Cheers, yeah they're a fantastic creature. Porbeagle just look like makos that need to go to weight watchers, lol.
And how do you take the lure out
Great fish!! How deep was the water you caught it in? Cheers
Thanks, it was in just over 100ft.

From a kayak?. Your not wired up right 😆 . Great video all the same and stay safe
Did you get it on the bottom or a float . Would of been great to see the whole video. Ur no feert 🤣 great video
Hi Jason. It took a a bait a few meters off the bottom. No float, just let the bait hang in the tide.

Thanks, yeah. He wasn't happy at the end. Lol.
Wow fair play I so want to try kayak fishing any tips before I would buy a kayak?
Thanks Neil, If you are in Ireland that kayak in the video is for sale at the moment.

Mad man !
Outstanding
Brilliant. Subscribed
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Very cool! They look really aggressive
Yeah, they are quite grumpy at times and will attack the kayak.
yer on fire!!!!
Cheers Richie, Just need a mullet session to finish the year off.
Didn't know we even had sharks in Ireland..
Yeah we have about 5 or 6 species that come close to shore.
Are they aggressive?
Only the one above, porbeagle. But only when fishing for them you could probably swim with them if they were no on feeding mode.
Well, anyways great catch, Have a good night
I'm scared to go in the water now
I don't see ant release.... I see a catch, a stressed out shark... and random photos... where's the evidence of this shark being released and swimming away alive and not sinking
It's one camera on a kayak. No film crew. The shark is obviously released. If you don't like shark fishing videos, don't watch them.
Kimberlie, you'd be better going to watch vegan tutorials.
Bore off.
