    Sounds are the reason I went with the roughneck. Everyone always mentions foxpro when they kill a yote, they are sold everywhere. I’d be interested in a battery door as well.

    I’ve been using a wildfire with the fox jack decoy for about 10 years, it’s been great but my cal finally made its final call. Moving on to Lucky Duck and looking forward to it.

    I have an x2s and love it. Had a roughneck that I sold but loved the sounds so much I picked another one up. Plan on using it on public or areas I've already hit where people are using foxpros

    And this is just my personal opinion hunting with Fox pro for about 3 1/2 to 4 years and switching over to lucky duck was a breath of fresh air. it's just a better call better sound and has for me and a lot of my friends a lot more success with lucky duck they've all switched to lucky duck.The sound is so realistic it's amazing.

    I run MTK X2S and love it. Solid quality. Wish Rick P's sounds worked on it. I would run a roughneck if Lucky Duck was American made and better build quality.

    Love Love Love my lucky duck Revolt. Ironically I hated the power light and blacked it out. If a coyote sees that it could hang them up. My buddy was walking to a stand ahead of me and it stood out like a sore thumb. If I could I would have it on the bottom. Then it would not be noticeable to animals or look like blood on snow. All the other features are awesome! 360 rotate and decoy tail on too are awesome.

    I have a roughneck and the x2s. Both great calls but if I could only keep one without hesitation I’d keep the x2s. Far superior remote, better range, sound is amazing, comes with lithium battery and charger. Fox fusion is amazing, and fox pitch is handy occasionally as well. Love the foldable stand to elevate it of the ground. Volume is every bit as good as the duck and with mfk on board recording live animal sounds foxpro is where it’s at.

    I literally own them all , been calling for almost 40 years , I love ricks sounds , and I have killed so many dogs and cats with both brands , they all have there pros and cons , I grew up on fox pro obviously but the verminator aka Rick his coyote vocals give me chills , but for me durability is key I make 4-500 stands per year , battery life goes downhill with both , however I’ve yelled at my revolution more than any call I have ever owned , it simply devours batteries , especially the old remote style , glad to see they completely redesigned, the new remotes however I easily memorized the old lucky duck remotes , but night hunting was a bit irritating at times , the new rubber coating on the lucky ducks , I’m loving the new x wave , and time will tell on this unit , with that all said and done my advice to guys using electronics is , do not go ta any stand without a mouth call around your neck , cause your gonna need it 💪

    Go with the Lucky Duck. Even though the equipment may not be 100% American made the company is as home grown as they come. I used to work with Rick Paillet at the John Deere/Napa store, in Kansas, when he and I were in our early 20's. He and his family (Wife, Dad, Mom, and brother were able to take their hunting passion and turn it into a reputable business. Kinda a duck dynasty story without the TV hype. I have always respected Rick and family for having such a strong work ethic yet being so laid back. There is no question that if you have a problem it will be taken care of. Per the video all in all the calls are pretty much equal. So support the underdog and get the unique sounds that the predator's are not familiar with.

    What distance can you get on both callers with the remotes?

  • @drtpredatorcontrol
    @drtpredatorcontrol 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I have lost the cover off the Shockwave a couple of times and had to back track as well! It's never fun during a contest. Foxbang is pointless unless you want to blow a set. Foxcast is not needed, unless you're into statistical analysis...I probably wouldn't want to hunt with you. Lucky duck units feel pretty cheaply made. The remotes are disappointing and the speakers do not last. I send my Foxpro's in for speaker checks annually to ensure I am ready for contest season. I still have and run an old Foxpro Spitfire that gets serviced just like my Shockwave. Edit Categories is a pain because you cannot shift them once they are in the category from the downloaded list. I like the Foxpro Shockwave; however, the X2S beats the Shockwave and Lucky Duck products.

    And your favorite part about the roughneck is the remote. I hate the ld3x. Toggle in the middle is to raised and the remote is to thick. I actually prefer the little cheap rc car remote with the original lucky duck. Fit in hand better

  • @mattstewart2750
    @mattstewart2750 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The last good call foxpro made was the CS24B. The CS24C with the plastic horn, limiting amp, and TX1000 remote ruined it for us. All the options on the TX1000 are completely unnecessary. All a call needs to do is play the sounds you want it to.
    The early lucky duck stuff had plenty of issues, but the roughneck is a solid caller. I still don't like the remote on it due to the wobbly pause button. I like things to be simple and just work when the buttons are pressed. The rotations and tripods are also unnecessary. The roughneck is a good step in the right direction for lucky duck.
