What movie are you planning on watching today as the Irishman is a great one. Probably one of the best movies made in 20 years in my opinion because of how incredible the recruitment of the principal cast members all being bloody legends of film including Pesci, De Niro, Pacino and Keitel plus adding Martin Scorsese into that group then enough said.
I can totally see the underground basement thing being kind of like a brothel that Ms. H runs herself and she can make money from that along with the flower shop. Also I don’t know if this is too extra but a bowling alley down there could be fun. Ms. H is skilled in all forms of ball wielding.
For the special basement bathroom, how about open showers with benches for a little lookyloo at everyone's bits while they shower off the filth? Eleanor seems like the type to keep an eye on her naughty boys and make sure they get every nook and cranny sparkling clean.

ugh, another stunning part miss thing! Had an idea for the butler! He could be a younger guy who's been with Mrs Higginbottom for quite some time but here's the catch, he's the guy that Callum sneaks around with! Mrs Higginbottom allows the Butler to have Callum round when she's not home as Callum is not out and doesn't want to be caught. Also because of the Callum/Butler romance and Callum's connection with Zoe they could DJ together at her parties! Could also mean that Zoe and Jay have a spot as well where they can go to avoid Zoe's parents!
So nice to see how you make the Eco items work in this style of house. About the basement: maybe you can put stairs below the stairs to the first floor, by making the bathroom 2 by 3 tiles you would have the space for it. I can imagine it would be nice not having to use the outside stairs on your way to the breakfast room after a night in the basement... :)

I LOVE Anne with an E and am devastated they aren't continuing it! I loved the ending so much!! I also wondered if you might like Grace & Frankie which is also on Netflix, you talking about Eleanor's husband coming out later in life made me think of it!! In terms of Eleanor's story, I see her more maybe having a burlesque aesthetic rather than just running a brothel like some other comments have suggested. And some of the items in her house already reflect that creative taste in the arts, theatre and entertainment. Love your stuff as always! x

Those bedrooms in the basement should get that mirrored window in between them (I guess it came with Get to Work) so one side can see the other. Eleanor definitely loves a voyeurism hahaha

They have a very good relationship and he helps her with the "basement business" 😉 His younger brother is Ms. H husband's boyfriend and he came visit sometimes, when the husband was still living in the house. That's how he realized that he's gay
By far my favorite series!! I can already tell this women is going to be my favorite Character! Here's my humble idea: Eleanore (which is also my grandmother's name btw), is an Ally to the LGBTQ+ community, and all her bedroom's are sometimes used for safe sleeping or "drop in's" for people who's families have kicked them out. She's known as everyone's 'Auntie' in the community, but has a serious take no-shit attitude. Her Butler (Geoffrey?) is also madly in love with her, and she's utterly obvious to it. Our families's current favorite word is: terracotta. Much love everyone!

I just paused on the butler subject, I was able to have my sim have a really NICE relationship with a butler without controlling them. Similar to a roommate. I don't know if they made a change but my butlers are really ok and in more than one household. I of course max their skills and make them have the neat trait, etc. but they are always ok without a mod to do it. It makes it more fun not to have to control them all the time.
Anne with an E neeeeddddsss to come back with another season. Binge watched it and they still have soooo much to cover. Loved it! The petition went past 600,000 signatures so let's hope they bring it back 🙏🏾

maybe in the basement you could have a bathroom just off the bedroom and you could maybe put windows in there so you can watch people shower haha! I got this idea from a hotel I stayed in, in Paris. The beds Headboard was a window looking into the bath/shower.
I wish sims4 had some kind of Georgia O’Keeffe-looking floral paintings, I feel like with Eleanor being (1) a florist and (2) having an uhhhhh “appreciation” of her “feminine energy” something like that would fit her perfectly 🌺🌷🌼 cabinets could go in the wall with the fridge maybe? and SINCE she’s a florist, she should have plenty of devastatingly classy floral arrangements everywhere, just as like a casual flex also oh my GOD i frickin LOVE that ridiculous palm leaf wallpaper! and the dogs just vibing to classical music lmao. YES BITCH!
I have some ideas for the build: -in the kitchen maybe put one of these big bushes in boxes in the middle of the big breakfast area, or put the little grass thingy on both sides -i would also change the color of the little giraffe lamp in the living room, into sth mor grey and not black and violet 😅 -i would maybe ad a shelf or sth in yhe dog room with all these dog treatglasses from cats and Dogs and the bags of dog Food - I also totally imagine mrs higginbottoms would hire a photographer to take some portraits or her beloved dogs 💕

The basement is actually a secret dungeon of cats that she snatches from all the other neighbours, I'm really just basing this statement on my Nonna who basically takes in every stray cat that even stumbles onto her land and feeds them every single day (I'm not sure if they're all strays tbh). The butler is hired to make sure the cats don't leave, "or else!" as kooky ol' Eleanor says herself.
As for Ms. Higginbottom’s butler: I think it would be hysterical and on brand for her if he was more of a houseboy. Maybe he’s this young stoner and one of Gaz’s friends. Gaz and his business seem to be a recurring theme in this series so even more connections with him could be ICONIC! ❤️
In the cats and dogs expansion pack there is a small dog statue that will fit on shelves. There are actually two, but I'm referring to the fancy metal-looking one (or perhaps stone). I think that Eleanor might like some dog statues.
I am loving it so far, I do feel that the bar is a bit unwieldy and and sterile looking though, maybe add an actual bar into it and have it as a U shape
Anne with an E is not only a book series, but there are previous movies made; 3 of them actually and its my ALLTIME favourite movies. They are called «Anne of Greengables» and its absolutely magical. The 3 movies follows the same actor growing up as well, which makes it even better! The movies are a bit old, and a little different from «Anne with an E» but the story is the same ofc. I hope you give them a chance, I don’t think you’ll regret it 🥰

i was thinking the same with the husband coming out later in life, but i got the feeling everyone was thinking the same! i'm not sure about the timeline, but my thought was that they were quite an openminded couple, and swingers parties maybe lead him to understand himself better she still loves him to bits, still soul mates, just in a different way
I can definitely see Mrs Higginbottom hosting swingers parties in her basement, the cinema room could be used for viewing the most EXCLUSIVE of porn movies, and the club could be kind of a private members only underground thing. Anyone who's in the kinky business knows Mrs Higginbottom and she has quite the reputation, being invited to her club is a life time experience that many people would only dream of. Many sex clubs have a lot of sofas and private rooms for, well you know what, as well as sofas around the club with maybe just a curtain separating it for some less private fun for the vouyeristic folks.
I'm just imagining her and the boyfriend having hours long chats where they trade gripes about their man and his inability to remember Anything of Import. But they also trade recipes and little notes on how to make things a little nicer :) just wholesome friendships all around! Edit: oooo, butler falls in love, but isn't really sure that he can handle her!

Anne with an E is not only a book series, but there are previous movies made; 3 of them actually and its my ALLTIME favourite movies. They are called «Anne of Greengables» and its absolutely magical. The 3 movies follows the same actor growing up as well, which makes it even better! The movies are a bit old, and a little different from «Anne with an E» but the story is the same ofc. I hope you give them a chance, I don’t think you’ll regret it 🥰

I can definitely see Mrs Higginbottom hosting swingers parties in her basement, the cinema room could be used for viewing the most EXCLUSIVE of porn movies, and the club could be kind of a private members only underground thing. Anyone who's in the kinky business knows Mrs Higginbottom and she has quite the reputation, being invited to her club is a life time experience that many people would only dream of. Many sex clubs have a lot of sofas and private rooms for, well you know what, as well as sofas around the club with maybe just a curtain separating it for some less private fun for the vouyeristic folks.
