- I went shopping for American Girl doll clothing on TEMU and found Knock off AG clothes, so I had to buy them to see how they compare.

Great comparison video 👍🏼👍🏼 Kira’s knock off meet outfit is pretty close just needs a few buttons sewn on the skirt to help hold the pleats in place. So glad you are better and posting again 😊
I buy the dressier outfits that are difficult to sew, like chiffon, satin and tulle dresses. I started AG over 20 years ago and I collected their historical outfits but since I no longer teach I just like to dress them in flashy outfits.

I just got doll shoes from Temu. As an adult collector I would say that they are acceptable. I don't know if the shoes would last long in the hands of a child. I've had to re-glue many knock-off shoes in the past, still it is nice to have a variety to choose from.
I have some going through the torture test that is my 4 year old right now 😂 so we shall see.
I'm so excited to have found you're channel! American girl dolls were alot of my childhood and as a teenager now I felt kind of weird holding on to mine and still loving playing with them (setting up scenes and sets for them mostly) But then today I found you're page and it makes me feel so much better that there are other older collectors or people who rescue discarded dolls and revive them.
I am very happy you found my channel too! You definitely shouldn’t feel weird, there are so many adult and teenage collectors it is quite the large community. I’m a firm believer that you should never feel bad for doing something you enjoy (providing it’s harmless to yourself and others). 💕
This is so interesting! I never knew there were knockoffs of so many ag outfits. I once bought some doll clothes off Amazon in 2020 and they had knockoff versions of joss’s meet shoes and the shoes form graces opening night outfit

I think that one looks the best out of all of them.
But it is so strange how they translated Konnichiwa. It looks like someone looked at the letters and did their best to pick out letters that they thought matched.
I think they were trying to make it look similar but misspelled on purpose so they didn’t get in trouble with Mattel.
@@Lots2See Oh, that's a very good point. I was imagining someone looking at Chinese or Japanese letters, who only knows English, trying to recreate the letters (but the opposite). But I think your point is more plausible.

I have ordered some of this dupes in the past from Alliexpress. And I did notice Amazon is carrying more duplicate outfits
I think a lot of Amazon sellers get there items from Aliexpress.
I can only imagine the work conditions that allows for such low prices. Temu reeks of human rights violations.

I was lucky to discover this company to buy extremely inexpensive clothes for my 11 1/2 and 18 inch dolls. The shoes were the best quality and variety. I could not make these outfits cheaper. I hope that they start making outfits for 15 inch Tonner, Gene size dolls.

I would recommend aliexpress :) I've bought so many outfits for less than $5. They even have official ag products. I bought nanea's accessories for only $7

Why do they always use swim suit material
Cheap cheap cheap 🐥 plus the measurements don’t have to be as exact, when you use stretchy fabric.

As a seamstress I know that dolls limbs do not move like humans so getting the clothes on is easier with knits than cotton.
