I was there in 2005 right after Hurricane Katrina hit, and was a vendor rep at the only big box home improvement store open after it hit (a Home DEPOT IN NOLA). All the reps were housed in a tower motel in Gretna, LA. There was so much damage anywhere you drove in NOLA back then. My job was a graveyard shift manager where my temp help crew had to restock the Millwork Dept at the only Home Depot (or Lowes) open in a 100 mile radius! I was there for 3 weeks until Home Depot could get their own helpers hired and not rely on 3rd party agents. But I saw a lot of New Orleans that was still operating normally (restaurants, bars, and souvenir stores, etc.) I enjoyed my time there!
every place serves bread pudding for dessert, so when I was there, I had to compare the bread pudding at each place. there's some green goddess restaurant that had amazing food. I got a bacon sundae there as well as crispy pork belly, Swiss chard, and eggs in some amazing sauce.
I live in Port Allen Louisiana, one hour and forty-five minutes away New Orleans!!! The Property Brothers were one hour and forty-five minutes away from me......and I DID NOT KNOW!!!!!😱😭😭😭
I would very much like to visit New Orleans, I am an Italian and here the colorful houses are above all on the islands and on the coasts because the colored houses in different colors help the fishermen who return from the sea to recognize their home from afar ... every country has the its beautiful culture!
I don't understand why you guys aren't doing something that pops out I'm only 2 minutes and 19 seconds into the video and I've seen a lot of green and yellow and reds but only that one was that deep blue kinda like the color of Drew's shirt, or Johnathan. New Orleans you want something to pop and stand out....

(Ah...nobody else seems to have noticed this very HUGE mistake. Not the brothers. Not the video crew. Not the video editors. That is a very LAZY mistake. Somebody edited it and uploaded it with a mirror image. Why? With all your money and technical resources, NOT ONE PERSON realized this glaringly amateur mistake?! Amateur like your house remodels where you decide to take out a "bearing wall" and then tell the homeowner "Oops! Sorry! Guess we shouldn't have done that!") Backwards film?? Are you kidding us?
