i love to see a review from a more professional point of view. not just being like "oh the coats look weird" or something or "why don't they gallop?". i love gaited horses and i love your review! thank you
What you said about exaggerating the features really stood out to me. It really does make sense. While I don't like the AQH, I can confirm that It did catch my eye in the terms of being unique.
Hey, just some clarification! I originally called this horse the Standardbred, that title has been changed! Sorry for the confusion! I called the Horse the Saddlebred in the video the entire time, and I even named it correctly in my files. Not sure why I titled it wrong. My bad! 😂
im lowk happy SSO keeps the trots of gaited horses. you need to keep everyone interested in your game. I wouldn't buy these horses if they didn't have the "normal" walk, trot, canter, and gallop strides. i dont really play sso but if i do i use SSO for jumping/English riding purposes, so being able to use these horses for something other than what they are bred for is cool. the horse world is incredibly diverse, so making a game and trying to accustom everyone's opinions is hard; that's not an excuse for poorly made horses/riders/etc. in my tiny little corner of the equestrian world, we call the "lope" canter and the "slow-gallop" a hand gallop. You brought up so many great points; now I'm dying to get this horse. Great video!
Although I completely agree that you need to keep people interested in these horses, I, again, believe that you need to exaggerate unique traits about horses so people understand why each breed is unique and amazing. There are upwards of 60 breeds of horses already in this game. Only 2 of them are truly gaited (Walking horse and Paso). Considering that is such a few number compared to the wide variety of animals that are already available, I simply ask, why don't you simply use another horse if you want to trot? I believe that gaited horses should not trot. Plain and simple. ❤️
@pbpbpb728 To your point, you need to keep everybody interested in the game... Isn't it a little selfish that you want EVERY horse to trot? Not every person uses this game for jumping. What about the people who like that their horses gated and doesn't want to trot? Can we not have literally 2 breeds? :/
@@oldbandwagon8797 I don't know man I don't take myself that seriously, tbh I don't even remember writing this or the last time I played star stable 😭i actually give 0 horse shits if horses trot or not i was kinda trollin
@@pbpbp okay, but do you not see the contradictions in your own comment? "I low-key like that they make the gaited horses trot.." "... Hard for the game to accommodate everyone..." "... The horse world is very diverse..." Do you see how this doesn't make any sense? You basically just said that the horse world is very diverse and it should accommodate everyone, but not people who like gaited horses. 💀
@@oldbandwagon8797 i'm incredibly sorry I didn't write this to offend you, i honestly dont give ONE shit about gaited horses. I didn't think it was that thrilling of a comment; in fact!!! I hope everyone gets their lovely gaited horses because they matter too ✊you matter ✊you've changed me
Technically yes, and I would be fine if this terminology was left alone if they would simply change "slow gallop." Like I state often, a riding instructor is never going to tell their students to do a slow gallop. They are going to call it a canter. Be that a working canter, extended canter, it doesn't matter. You are not going to hear them say "slow gallop."
@@klaragreennest188 Um, what? Saddlebreds don't race, last I checked. Standardbreds also pace, which is distinctly different from the four beat amble or rack of a Saddlebred. You can't compare a traditional saddleseat gaited horse with harness competition. They aren't the same. I guarantee a show Saddlebred is not on the same diet as a racing Standardbred because the physical requests on the horse are worlds apart. They also don't interbreed because the confirmation rules are entirely different. C'mon now.
You are correct, saddlebreds are not standardbreds. However, from my sources, (first hand accounts, "Eyewitness Horse Handbook," and Wikipedia sources,) "The most famous and numerous of the American gated breeds is the American saddlebred, formerly called the Kentucky Saddler. It originally evolved in the Southern United States as a practical all-around performer, is now regarded as a brilliant, if artificial, show ring horse, either under saddle or in harness." The breeds that influenced this horse are the thoroughbred, Norfolk Roadster, Spanish horses, and the Narragansett Pacer. It does state that these horses are capable of pacing, racking, and performing running walks. ❤
It is now I realize that I named the video wrong, despite naming it correctly in my files and saying it correctly in the video. Sorry for the confusion. 😂❤

Saddlebreds are not Standardbreds? Totally different breed. Standardbreds are racing trotters.
Yea but saddlebreds can do the same thing as a standardbred and same thing for the Standardbreds
