I like Shoaib Akhtar but I feel brett lee is the fastest bowler in the world. Yes Shoaib bowled the fastest ball but if you see the speed bowled throughout the match, brett lee always had a higher avg speed. Also brett lee had more control over line and length

Although shoaib has the record of fastest ball(161.3km/h) but on average brett lee was faster

True. I also think Shaun Tait is faster on average than both of them.

Fast bowlers tend to loose their line and pace when it comes to a hatrick ball, but Lee here bowled an unplayable 97 mph yorker right on to the stumps. Unreal!!!

This was where Brett Lee really came of age as an international cricketer. Always had potential and pace, but like many young fast bowlers, he was a bit erratic.
In this World Cup, he was lethal. He went on to be a very consistent bowler for Australia in all forms of cricket, and had an excellent career.
