- In this video I am cleaning up and sharing a deep dive into how I organize my loose embellishments.
SMALL ITEM ORGANIZATION
I store everything inside an Ikea sized drawer cabinet from Stamp n Storage.
You can find the cabinet here: www.stampnstor...
The inserts are purchased separately and are super economical so you can easily swap them out to get different styles that work for you.
You can find the inserts here: www.stampnstor...
I have one 60 compartment tray and the others are 30 compartment trays.
The deeper drawers have the 15 compartment deep trays.
LARGE ITEM ORGANIZATION
I store everything in Alex Drawers from IKEA in iDesign organizers from Amazon. The organizers I purchased & use are:
3 4x8 organizer: www.amazon.com...
4 4x12 organizers: www.amazon.com...
2 8x12 organizers: www.amazon.com...
6 3x3 organizers: www.amazon.com...
All organizers are 2 inches deep, fit perfectly in the shallower Alex drawers, and are extremely high quality. I love them and would highly recommend!
As a visual scrapbooker I love this organizational system you've made! I need to see everything to use it & I've done something similar in my Alex drawers, but the idesign bin idea is something I can implement to improve my setup. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! Happy I could help. And I am a visual scrapbooker too, if I can't see my supplies I never use them!
One quick question. Why didn't you put all of your circles together? I saw some circles in your smaller system instead of in the Alex drawers. Did you separate them out by material? I am trying to organize my own stuff by shape, and I currently have my circles in "paper" and "chipboard/material" categories. Interested to hear your thought process. Love your organizing videos! I am using so many of your ideas in my room.
The circles in the Alex drawer are generally larger or one of a kind. In the stamp-n-storage organizer, I included circles that were small or part of a set. My thinking with this is that they'd get lost in the larger compartment (or separated from the ones they went with) in the Alex drawers. If I get to the point where my smaller drawers are all full, I might consider moving some of them over to the Alex drawers as an overflow.
Thank you. Makes sense!
So inspiring! Think it might be time for a stash busting project life spread
Oooh good idea! ❤️
So impressed with you organization !
Thank you! I hope this helps inspire you to get your space organized as well.
TFS ❤
What are the white trays in your Alex draws?
Those are from IKEA, but I’ve had them for years so I unfortunately don’t know the name.
I just bought some a couple of weeks ago. They are the Kuggis insert I believe.
Excellent Video, your organization is so terrific!
Thank you! ❤️
Your system looks great and you have so much amazing stuff! I dream of a collection as big and as organised as yours! 😍
Oh and I thought you could put your washi in the bottom 2 drawers on the left where there is some space. This way you could line them up and see them better 😊 of course you don’t have to but I thought as that space is empty (:
It’s taken me decades to collect so much stuff, I want to try to use some of it up, it’s a bit much! And that’s a great idea for the washi. I’m not sure yet if I’ll redo my washi organization but maybe for a future video 😉
Love it Linda! Gorgeous!
Thank you!
