I love how ibra is always attempting to do something different and unexpected always. He makes mistakes but it shows that he is not afraid to take risks.
I don't think ever seen anyone play with such finesse and pure joy as Ronaldinho. He really was in a class of his own. Yes there is Messi, Ronaldo, but Ronaldinho was something else. You could blindfold the man and he would still perform the most incredible tricks you could imagine. He was a kid with a ball, a virtuoso.
That's what I was trying to say on another video, one where Ronaldinho and Pato were first starting out! They finally connected on a goal, but his skills, his passing, his "finesse and pure joy"(like you say), along with how he accelerates and his ball control. But, I really had fun with this video, because I've been following Zlatan ever since AC Milan, where I met everyone else. It made me laugh so many times watching Ronaldinho and Zlatan and their teammates leave everyone in the dust. Especially the goal that Robinho got at the end, it was magical!!!!!
Zlatan's career is just phenomenal. He has played with some of the greatest in the game (Messi, Ronaldinho), against some of the best (BOTH Ronaldo) and been coached by some of the best (Pep, Mourinho, Capello, Ancelotti). Cmon now!
Zlatan and Ronaldihno have similar vibe in their play styles. Always going for the unexpected and entertaining way of playing. I guess Zlatan had less rhythm and elasticity, but he has stronger and durable body which makes him a living legend.
Zlatan is one of the best ever ..that power with that technique I have never seen in a player ..he is the best striker I have ever seen after big Ronaldo and Romario , and better than Cristiano by miles and any true football fan knows that .he just lacked Madrid fans , media and power ...if he played there the competition between him and Messi would be great , he also have a very good personality and not selfish
Football is a team sport. Certain players shine when playing alongside a supporting cast of world class quality players. But they falter when they are tasked upon to be the leading man for an average team.
Ronaldinho being his fellow countryman and coming over to AC and becoming a mentor was worst thing that could have happened to him (and probably Adriano too). Ronaldinho's issues are public and well known, and obviously his career was over quickly. if he had set a better example for younger players maybe they'd be in better positions today, and surely his career would have lasted longer

Yeah, Ronaldinho wouldn't be that great in today's era of football. He didn't have the physicality or the will to get that, that is required in today's football
