While it might seem that they are about a man missing a woman, the meaning goes deeper than that. I love to leave my lyrics up to the interpretation of the listener however I also like to explain how and why they were written so the listener can also discover my point of view. Lost The Way Home is about a woman who has lost herself, and is going through some sort of depression, she is unable to feel. She feels numb! There are moments where she can see the person she wants to be but the more time goes by the more lost she feels. She lost her way home to her true self. This song is sad but also in a way eye-opening for the woman, as she finally, through this song admits and comes to the realisation of how she is really feeling. By facing her inner fear and voicing it out she discovers that there are things she can do to make things better. There is still hope.
