      Justices can interrupt whoever they want, lawyers cannot interrupt the Justices. When you're on the highest court in the land, you get extreme deference in argument.

      Yep. I’ve never argued before the S.C., of course, but I have argued before Ninth Circuit with same rules. I have no issue with the rule.

      @ no…what they rule they rule…I know that…just dont try to “split the baby” with their decisions so as not to get blowback… they undermined their own July ruling for presidential immunity with mitigation for a local jurisdiction jury decision…which they overrule AlL the time when they want to….that’s my point…just decide the law and spit it out with courage. Let the chips fall where they may..half of the population will be upset anyway with ANY decision…That’s the nature of their responsibility.

    This is an easy slam dunk case. Both political parties want to ban TikTok. It’s a national security issue. SCOTUS just had to give a stamp of approval with no blowback.

      No it wasn't. Her argument is that China wants us all to argue and ignore what they do. But that's what the US government does every day and it's been proven. Her argument basically was we need to shut down the US government, since it is the same reasoning as TikTok

      Most of them are in China's pocket as well, but also are paid off by the US government. TikTok isnt paid off by the US, which is why it is being banned.

    Why did none of the Justices ask a key question: What is TikTok US without Bytedance's algorithm? The answer would be, "nothing". Accordingly, for all intents and purposes, the First Amendment right hinges on Bytedance, not the shell TikTok US. And foreign corporations controlled by foreign governments do not have a First Amendment right.

      Grow out of kidhood. Many, incl. the US big tech, have tried to replicate it but have failed miserably. This is just far too advanced of a technology. As of now, no one but Bytedance can do it. And that's the point.

Also the algorithm is different. If someone from America bought the TikTok name, but didn’t have access to the algorithm, TikTok would be ruined

    I'm a TikTok Shop Partner. I literally will lose millions if TikTok stops operations. We are in the process of diversifying to another platform but that will take until September. I'm not sure I'll be able to pay everyone's salaries until then. A lot of the people who want TikTok banned don't quite get the full picture. The platform is more than just posting silly videos.

      Has nothing to do with china and then having first amendment rights the whole point is Tik tok and American citizens who use Tik tok it is in fact going against our rights… it all boils down to the election and the fact Tik tok has opened alot of peoples eyes to the current corruption in the current administration and hating the fact we are getting true facts and connecting dots and they hate that. They should have to wait until trumps inauguration which is 10 days Biden is gone he’s not president after 10 days so his want to ban it is completely irrelevant now.
