My God, man!!! My point was reinforced by this piece. How dare he mention Quincy Jones & Miles Davis in the same breath as himself. He might want to research Electronica. It's been around for a few decades. He's not doing anything revolutionary. A twentysomething might find them ground breaking. They're not. Simply put: They USED to be a hip-hop group. They are now a dance /pop/ bubblegum quartet.
MisterBEP claims they "wanted to keep it fresh". Bull-shit! They wanted to get PAID! Sex sells. Pussycat chick and Fergie were PR moves. The women on the first couple records have better pipes. Today, the writing and beats take a backseat.
This cd takes me back, it was so good (most of the songs), too bad they sold out and now make crap
