  • It's been nearly five years since the cows at the Cliven Bundy ranch were at the center of what would become an armed standoff between Bundy and his supporters -- what has changed since then?

    The land is not the federal government's land. That land belongs to the state of Nevada. There is no clause in our Constitution that grants the federal government the authority or permission to own any land of any state except for the small piece of land (the District of Columbia) that the White House is on. There is also no amendment that grants the federal government the authority or permission to own any land of any state. This is fact, not opinion.

In fact, they would be demanding that our states FLAT OUT DEFY and nullify the Supreme Court if it made an opinion that is contrary to the Constitution. And the Constitution is very clear that the federal government only has the authority to own what is inside the District of Columbia.
      And the Supreme Court does NOT have the last say in what is constitutional and what is not. Do you know who does? Our free citizens do. In Federalist Papers No. 46 and No. 78, James Madison and Alexander Hamilton made it clear that our government is NOT the guardian and master of our Republic and Constitution. Our free citizens are.

Our country is getting." .....Actually, no, they are not. They are stolen lands by the criminals in the federal government. And those trees belong to the state, NOT to the federal government. The state of Nevada needs to tell the federal government to go to Hell on this matter while DARING the President to do something about it. Please read the Constitution and its Federalist Papers.

    • @richardstorm4603
      @richardstorm4603 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Coelophysis ..Take a look at Article 1, Section 8, Clause 17 of the U.S. Constitution. It is right there for all to see. And YES states CAN ignore the Supreme Court anytime that it makes a ruling that is contrary to the Constitution. The federal government only has a "limited" amount of power over our states, and that includes the VERY small amount of land that it is "allowed" to own.
      The Constitution is very easy to understand. It was made for children to master. Meaning, our founders did not just expect the idiots in the Supreme Court to master the Constitution. They expected ALL free citizens to master it. As I said, read exactly what James Madison and Alexander Hamilton said in Federalist Papers No. 46 and No. 78. Or, would you just rather ignore the facts and keep arguing with me?
      And I seriously cannot see how a state defying tyranny would open the door to chaos. I see it as closing the door on tyranny, instead. What is opening the door to chaos is our state governments refusing to do their job/duty by refusing to tell the federal government and its corrupt Supreme Court to go to Hell any time that they do something illegal.

    • @richardstorm4603
      @richardstorm4603 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Coelophysis ....Article 1, Section 8, Clauses 15 and 16 grants the federal government the authority AND DUTY to make sure that our non-military and non-police citizens are highly armed and trained to defend our nation whether the federal government likes it or not and whether the state of Califonia likes it or not. Yes, I (and our founders) DID say that our Constitution only allows the federal government a limited amount of power. Well, arming our non-military and non-police citizens is actually one of the federal government's duty.
      As for free speech, and you are REALLY not going to like this fact, the Bill of Rights only restricts the federal government. It has no authority over our states. If you read the preamble of the Bill of Rights, it says absolutely NOTHING about state powers. However, it says everything about restricting the federal government's power. And no. The 14th Amendment never said ANYTHING about the Bill of Rights. However, just so you know. I believe that EVERY state has a provision in the state constitution that addresses freedom of speech and freedom of religion.
      The Supreme Court NEVER had the authority to get involved with school prayers or abortions. If our states wanted to, they could again make abortions illegal again, allow school prayers, and DARE the President to do something about it. So, YES, state DO have the authority to tell the Supreme Court to go to Hell. Our states and our free citizens are the guardians and masters of our Constitution and our Republic, NOT the Supreme Court, NOT the federal military, and certainly NOT any President. I dare you to read Federalist Papers No. 29, No. 46, and No. 78.

    • @richardstorm4603

      Our founders said that nullification was the duty of our states and our citizens anytime ANYONE in the federal government did something that was contrary to the Constitution. The sniveling tyrants in the Supreme Court may have said otherwise. Well, who are you going to trust? Will it be our founding fathers or the sniveling tyrants in the Supreme Court? I choose to ignore the sniveling tyrants in the Supreme Court anytime that they come out with an opinion that is contrary to our Constitution and to what our founders said.

    Guys from what I can tell. He refused to renew his grazing permits because the Federal land that his cattle was able to grazed on was limited to certain part. There was a stand off and in the end, the Fed back down and went to court. Part of the lawsuit was dismissed for the standoff because Fed withheld key information but he was still in violation for grazing on Federal land without a permit. The Fed took most of his cattle and sold at auction for court fees and fines. He still owes the government more than 1M in fines for the many years he illegally grazed on that land. Thats what I got on the story so far.

    What a stupid thing to say, that the federal government doesn’t have jurisdiction over federal land. He just made that up one day, and because the judges chose to make the feds dot every eye and cross every tee before they prosecute him, he’s trying to spin it into something it’s not. There’s plenty of fools lorikeet him in prison crying like a baby because the government has the patience and the resources to see it through. So what is he saying, he can use my land, yes, I’m a US citizen without paying the rent? You know that’s bullshit. I’m interested in feeding up some cattle, too. What if I go pay the rent for the land his cattle are on? He’s got to go. Now he’s wanting to eat grass I paid for. ..Bundy principally opposes the United States' motion for summary judgment on the ground that this court lacks jurisdiction because the United States does not own the public lands in question. As this court previously ruled in United States v. Bundy, Case No. CV-S-98-531-JBR (RJJ) (D. Nev. Nov. 4, 1998), "the public lands in Nevada are the property of the United States because the United States has held title to those public lands since 1848, when Mexico ceded the land to the United States." CV-S-98-531 at 8 (citing United States v. Gardner, 107 F.3d 1314, 1318 (9th Cir. 1997)). Moreover, Bundy is incorrect in claiming that the Disclaimer Clause of the Nevada Constitution carries no legal force, see Gardner, 107 F.3d at 1320; that the Property Clause of the United States Constitution applies only to federal lands outside the borders of states, see id. at 1320; that the United States exercise of ownership over federal lands violates the Equal Footing Doctrine, see id. at 1319; that the United States is basing its authority to sanction Bundy for his unauthorized use of federal lands on the Endangered Species Act as opposed to trespass, Compl. at ¶¶ see 1,3, 26-39; and that Nevada's "Open Range" statute excuses Bundy's trespass. See e.g., Gardner, 107 F.3d at 1320 (under Supremacy Clause state statute in conflict with federal law requiring permit to graze would be trumped)...

      You have stated the "governments" side of the case, and the finding in "federal" court. The details of the situation are, the elite want to get Bundy out of grazing, then they can claim water the rights, which exist because the Bundy Family developed that range since before Nevada was a state. Further more, the BLM is chartered to disperse the federal land acquired in the process of statehood. The BLM is in violation of their charter through out the western states. The "endangered species" is a turtle which cannot survive on this land without bovine grazing taking place in said range. The declaration of the area as a protected environment was, a rouse to further the Reid family's agenda for this land. News organizations rarely give this story the depth required to inform the uninformed about this situation. The BLM were the ones pointing guns at people. If you listen to the recordings of the BLM, they were anxious to shoot and kill civilians. The reason no-one died during this standoff, was the Bundy men and the Sheriff made the BLM stand-down/retreat. The rule of law was made clear to the commander of the BLM. The BLM rustled the cattle here, still a hanging offense. Like Treason. Watch the formal retreat by the BLM. One of my favorite bits of history. Had any civilian pointed a gun at the LEO's present, We The People would be in a shooting war, to this day. We The People elected Donald J. Trump to serve as President of the United States, for the purpose of restoring, and, instituting the Rule Of Law , in this Republic. What the corrupt US government did in our name while we were asleep, must now be set right. The Bundy family is actually not from Bunkerville, Nevada, the site of last week’s tense standoff and home to Bundy’s ranch. According to the NBC news affiliate in Las Vegas, the Bundy family applied to use the Bunkerville Allotment in 1954, when Cliven was 8 years old. Cliven’s father David Ammon Bundy had relocated the family to Nevada sometime after the 1940 census. This particular branch of the Bundy family has their roots in the Arizona Strip, a stretch of rugged land in the northern part of the state. In the late 1910s, Cliven’s great- grandfather Abraham Bundy, a bona fide Mormon pioneer, helped establish the Mount Trumbull community, a settlement also known as Bundyville, in a remote corner of Arizona just north of the Grand Canyon on the Shivwits Plateau. Abraham and his five sons, including Cliven’s grandfather Roy, filed homestead claims under the Stock-Raising Homestead Act (1916) there. Between 1925 and 1940, the family patented (brought into private ownership) close to 4,000 acres in the area and raised cattle.
