Dude, this is the best video I have ever seen on Image Alt Text. Short, concise, articulate and straight to the point and delivered in a way that anyone can easily understand. Props to you for making this video.
Thank you so much. Your voice is beautiful and your presentation is excellent. Very concise and no fluff. I think you are one of the best teachers on youtube. I learned more from you in 6 minutes then in much longer videos.
Google Images is a great avenue to boost your SEO strategy since a lot of folks are just looking for quick fixes to their problems through images. Awesome tips you have here, man!
Awesome, brother, this is the best, most informative, interesting (keeping the learners on their toes) direct, therefore distinguished vid on a subject that is necessary for the INTERNET! & and your language is put to poetry.
Great video! I'm going to do this for every picture and icon on my website going forward! Definitely going to use this for every social media picture we upload as well! Thank you!
Awesome video, thank you for clarifying this. I have a question if you have time - How should this be handled in product photos? If I have 10 photos of the same thing, from different angles, how can you not repeat yourself?
Great and informative video! When you mention don't repeat yourself esp. if multiple images or captions tell the same info. Does that mean if I place it as an alt text I don't need to place it as an image caption anymore? Also, if should my file name and alt text be the same? I'm kind of confused..:( and would love to have these questions clarified
How important is the file-description (which I do with a dash in between instead of space, followed by ending like .webp). Should it be the same as the alt img description? Or can we just assume that it would have a benefit if both are same?
I use Lightroom to edit and process my images. There is the option to add keywords in the metadata of the images. By adding keywords, will it be beneficial to the SEO of the images?
Thanks for explaining this! What if the image is a text, do we describe it as: "motivational short text about self-care" or "extract of a poem by french poet Hugo", or do we write the text itself in the Alt Text? I think probably just the description will be better if we want to appear in searches than copying the text of the post itself.
I'm wondering this too. I saw that search engines can't read text within an image so it might be best to just repeat the text. Maybe better overkill than lacking?
