I knew that worked for the E Shape and A/Am shape… I SOMEHOW didn’t realize that it would work for ANY of the open chords tho, but it truly makes perfect sense! Haha I been playing for 14.5yrs and never thought to just shift open chords around but use my index finger as a capo for what would normally be played as an open string within the chord. I’m actually mind blown… this is why I love playing guitar… there’s always more techniques out there!

Everything cool but try to do licks next to the chords in all those shapes, f. Ex. Doing licks when doing G shape or any other in which you are imitating capo is hard.

Singer songwriters do but pro guitarists not, the low strings will clash with the bassists so chords on mid/treble strings are preffered
