The iPhone 11 was my first iPhone. I was used to upgrading phones yearly because my android phones would slow down significantly or constantly freeze up after only 1 year, and even factory resetting wouldn't help them. I loved upgrading my phone that often because I love getting new tech, but after almost 3 years with my iPhone 11, it's still running like it's brand new and I've found myself not wanting to upgrade to a pro model yet (despite so badly wanting the telephoto lens and better display). It's so new to me to have a phone that actually still works perfectly years later, and I don't want to give it up for a newer phone just yet. The iPhone 11 just continues to impress me. My only regret was not buying the 11 pro instead. Edit: My android phones were Samsung and LG flagships, not the cheap couple hundred dollar models, but thanks for assuming :)

Same. My last Android before iPhone 11 was a mid-tier Xiaomi (not that cheap) and it was an awful experience. Not even 6 months in it started getting progressively slower, crashing randomly and rebooting, it was supposed to have at least 1 Android update and it received it after literally 9 months of its original launch… It really was a breath of fresh air to switch to iOS - and I only did it because my job required me to do so
Bought mine last February 2022, I don’t see any point in upgrading to the latest Iphone 14, only incremental upgrades, everything still works for me, not a gamer or a heavy user.. I see this as my daily driver in the next 3 or 4 years as long as Apple still supports this phone

On September 28, 2019, I bought and still have the IPhone 11 and its at 80% battery health. Yes, you read correctly, at 80% battery health after almost 3 years since launch. At 128 GB, in Product Red and on Verizon. Aside from the battery health, its working great after almost 3 years.
I think not updating helps with battery time. I still get a full day use with approximately 7 hours on screen time after 2 years with my 11. My battery health is at 86% and I’m on ios 14.4.2. However I don’t sweat over battery health drop because I use my phone not the other way around. But I really want to have the night mode on newer iPhones. The pics I got from iPhone 13 Pro Max in low light environment are amazing. Kinda want to update but the inflation situation is not helping at all. The 14 pro starts at €1299 here in Germany.
I recently sold my 11 Pro to my uncle who wanted to try it out (Mint condition, but 79% health after the years) the battery life on that thing was still better after so much use than my brand new Pixel 6 Pro which I'm using for the time being until I get another iPhone which will probably be a used 13 Pro Max or new 14 Pro Max. I actually do like my Pixel though for a lot of other things though, but it will be a backup/2nd phone once I go back to iOS as my main and that's mainly for the reliability and battery life that iPhones have as well as software support though on a Pixel thats obviously way less of an issue.
Finally upgrading from my 11 Pro Max to an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I loved the 11, especially for its battery but now it’s time to upgrade. Lasted me well 😎
Bought my iPhone 11 in 2020 jan. Been working fine ever since. Battery life is 85% now. Never felt to buy any future iPhones frankly. Will update once iPhone is updated with no notch or holes on the screen.
I have upgraded to the Iphone 14 pro from the 11. But the 11 is still an amazing phone. If you don't have the money or are searching for a premium Iphone for a decent price then it's an huge recommend.
I just bought a brand new iPhone 11 three days ago from a cellphone store in my city. I was upgrading from an iPhone 7 (bought in Nov 2016) so you can imagine how impressed I am. 😂
I just upgraded my i11PM to the new iPhone 14PM and wow Im so glad I waited! I love the 120Hz display, the dynamic island is still having a fun charm! (Yes I believe its a gimmick, but I love it!). Camera looks great along with the Macro mode. Just.. Im in love with my phone! So grateful I was able to upgrade with my own money instead of worrying about deals with my sister and stuff like that.
i bought a refurbished iphone 11 from the apple website when the 14 was announced! best decision i’ve ever made. got it for $260 because i had a $150 giftcard that came with a macbook that i bought with the student discount. i upgraded from a samsung galaxy j7 2017. the upgrade was SO needed
Still use the red one since release, it was my second Iphone after the Iphone 4. I'll probably use it for the next 3 or 4 years. I really hope Apple designs an SE phone that looks like the Iphone XR but with flat sides and just one lens with matte colors like the Iphone 7 in matte black.

I got my iPhone 11 delivered to my home on the first day it went on sale to the public in Sept 2019. The battery health is at 90%, and the iPhone is superior to my second cell phone, a Pixel 5A 5G. The 5G has no longer worked since June when Google updated the Kernel version. I've been waiting for Google to update the software so the 5G will work again.
@@nickackermanchannel they cannot sell a 400 dollar iphone which is too similar to the features of the latest iphone.. so unless the base iphone looses it's notch to get the "dynamic island" lol, or an under display fingerprint, I don't see apple selling a 6.1 inch iphone SE.
@@vickyfritz I feel like they'd make the next SE to be the design of the XR. It makes sense. More people like bigger phones. That's also a reason why they dropped the Mini lineup and added the Plus lineup. Combine the XR design with Apple's latest chip (which should be efficient enough for a prolonged battery life), an LCD panel, and being around $400 with a splash of new colors. With that formula, it'll sell like hotcakes. Don't get me wrong, I used an iphone 13 Mini. I love the 13 mini and I'd love for Apple to continue this series but the way the trend is going for now, people are craving for big devices.

Bought an iPhone 11, 64GB, purple, on T-Mobile, in February, 2021. I think I'll keep it another year, since it'll no longer under contract, see what comes out, then decide if I want to keep it, or get something else. If I don't like what comes out, I'll keep it. I had an iPhone 6 Plus from April, 2015, to February, 2021, almost 5 and 1/2 years.

@jumpdirty If you mean my old, thoroughly used and degrading phone I agree. If you mean the new, top generation phone I'd disagree. When I bought the 11 it was the newest model. I got too little storage and used it a lot, so it aged. It's been 3 years. The new phone has more storage, a chip way more capable of handling my usage and just overall better parts. If you mean that the 14 pro will be useless in 2 years I'd like to tell you to ponder how I'm using the phone before assuming things when the phone isn't even 'out' yet, with the pre-order pickup being this Friday.
iPhone 11 Pro has been my most reliable phone and has been a work horse! I’ll admit I’ve abused the battery on mine for the past 2 1/2 years, but it still chugs along. They got this one right for sure.
Nothing wrong with an 11 only real downside compared to the new 14s is battery life Performance is fine but it does start to get warm even just watching TH-cam

I just picked up a 256GB XS Max because it has 3D Touch over anything newer lol. I’m probably going to wait until they finally start using type C before I get another one though.
@@saisiddeshmamidoju1728 I wouldn’t say for 4-6 years. Apple supports the past 5 years of iPhones typically. That makes the iPhone 8 and X the oldest phones they currently support with software updates. The 11 is 3 years old, so I’d say it’ll only be supported for another 2 years.
I will still keep my iPhone 11 had it for 3 years and still on 77% battery health and still superb battery life perhaps once it reaches 50% battery health I’ll go to apple service centre to get the battery replaced to restore its full performance I never had any problems on my iPhone 11
I’m currently using the IPhone 6s since it released and I’m using it to type this out now..... planning on getting the 14 pro soon. That’s going to be one BIG change fore me haha; no more home button lol.
I’m still trying to decide if I should buy the 11, 12, or 13. I have the iPhone SE 2020 and it’s about to be 2 years with this phone with 81% battery health. I don’t know if I should wait another year with this phone or buy one of the newer phones. I’m just looking for something that’ll last.

ive had mine since 2.5 years and the battery health is still at 93% obviously the battery life isn't that great. I hardly manage to squeeze a full productive day out of it but I would totally recommend it to uni students, like myself, or anyone who isn't a "power-user" also, if you use a stiff case, you won't even be able to figure out if its an 11 or 12(with the sharp edges)
It’s really interesting to think that the iPhone 11 may stick around as an iPhone SE (hopefully 4th gen already!). Hope they keep the dual camera system rather than just a single lens. I mean… what’s the point? It’s probably really cheap to keep the ultrawide camera at this point. + getting Face ID in a US$ 429 phone would be nice.
I hope they bring back the 5s design with the next SE. With a twist. The 5s small square body design, but without a touch button. Basically an iPhone 12/13 mini but smaller.
I have this phone which I purchased new in 2020, and it all of a sudden started overheating a week ago….Apple diagnostics say it’s fine, but it’s laggy and doesn’t charge well. I don’t want to upgrade, but I may be forced to. Smh

I have 11PM since launch coming from 7. I don’t got money to be upgrading a phone often to watch TH-cam 😅. If the 15 comes with usb-c I’ll upgrade. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the 11 and pro. It’s all you need.
My 11 pro max still performs very well, for those want to upgrade from 6, 7 or 8 then i would likely recommend it, but i still love so much my iPhone 6s tho,so many memories, i still keep it ,i mean who not?even chris evan loves his iPhone 6 so much

That is awesome! When do you think Apple will stop software updates for the iPhone eight model? Do you expect the iPhone 8 will receive a new update next year when iOS 17 is released? My parents have iPhone 8 models and I am trying to help them decide whether or not they need to upgrade to a new phone. What we usually do is trading the oldest devices and I hand down my phone to one of them and I always get the new phone and then whoever didn’t get my phone will get a new phone. We have not done this in a couple of years. My dad was due for an upgrade so I gave him my iPhone 7 several years ago when I had to get a new phone because my other was stolen at work and then I gave him the 7. A few years later, I gave him my iPhone 8.
I'd be shocked if iPhone 8 gets the update to iOS 17. The 8 and X models probably get dropped in support next year, but no reason to upgrade before then if they're happy. My mom is also still using an 8 Plus, so I'm going to have to buy her a new phone soon.

You should say the lcd display actually has better colour accuracy and it’s harder to see the pixels just because of how they are placed.

Once you reach 80% you can change the battery and it will last you for years to come hehe 😉
I just picked up a 256GB XS Max because it has 3D Touch over anything newer lol. I’m probably going to wait until they finally start using type C before I get another one though.

I see no compelling reason to upgrade from my iPhone 11. It runs perfectly fine. I just see an upgrade in status on the newer phones 🤷🏼♂️
If you have only basic expectations then obviously it will be fine, But the iPhone 14 pro has massive upgrades for me and many others.
I hate the new “square” sides with the sharp edges. I love my 12 mini aside from the way it feels in your hand

@@saisiddeshmamidoju1728 I wouldn’t say for 4-6 years. Apple supports the past 5 years of iPhones typically. That makes the iPhone 8 and X the oldest phones they currently support with software updates. The 11 is 3 years old, so I’d say it’ll only be supported for another 2 years.

I will still keep my iPhone 11 had it for 3 years and still on 77% battery health and still superb battery life perhaps once it reaches 50% battery health I’ll go to apple service centre to get the battery replaced to restore its full performance I never had any problems on my iPhone 11

I’m currently using the IPhone 6s since it released and I’m using it to type this out now..... planning on getting the 14 pro soon. That’s going to be one BIG change fore me haha; no more home button lol.
I’m still trying to decide if I should buy the 11, 12, or 13. I have the iPhone SE 2020 and it’s about to be 2 years with this phone with 81% battery health. I don’t know if I should wait another year with this phone or buy one of the newer phones. I’m just looking for something that’ll last.

The first iPhone to support 5G was the 12, so if you are looking for that speed, get the 12 or newer models.
I have an iPhone 8 88% battery health and haven’t replaced the battery quite yet
ive had mine since 2.5 years and the battery health is still at 93% obviously the battery life isn't that great. I hardly manage to squeeze a full productive day out of it but I would totally recommend it to uni students, like myself, or anyone who isn't a "power-user"
also, if you use a stiff case, you won't even be able to figure out if its an 11 or 12(with the sharp edges)

It’s really interesting to think that the iPhone 11 may stick around as an iPhone SE (hopefully 4th gen already!). Hope they keep the dual camera system rather than just a single lens. I mean… what’s the point? It’s probably really cheap to keep the ultrawide camera at this point. + getting Face ID in a US$ 429 phone would be nice.
I hope they bring back the 5s design with the next SE. With a twist.
The 5s small square body design, but without a touch button. Basically an iPhone 12/13 mini but smaller.

I have this phone which I purchased new in 2020, and it all of a sudden started overheating a week ago….Apple diagnostics say it’s fine, but it’s laggy and doesn’t charge well. I don’t want to upgrade, but I may be forced to. Smh
I literally just got this phone on Saturday because my iPhone SE broke when I was at work and I was on a budget so it was either getting the Se again or for the 11 and I went for the 11

Can we just admit that any iPhone above X for the average consumer would be very impressive. Most reviews on the internet are nitpicking at this point.
OLED was the wrong choice for iphone imo. LCD looks much more crispy

Battery life is great on 15.7. i think early versions of upgrade has the worst battery life. 13.7 was the best!

My 11 pro max still performs very well, for those want to upgrade from 6, 7 or 8 then i would likely recommend it, but i still love so much my iPhone 6s tho,so many memories, i still keep it ,i mean who not?even chris evan loves his iPhone 6 so much

I’m upgrading my iPhone 11 Pro Max because my cell phone carrier is basically giving the 14 pro max away as an even trade. Only on the hook for taxes and less than $20 for 4x as much storage as I do now

about the IOS 16 update, I don't see any issues personally. my 11 runs fine on later IOS 16 versions, so I think they've fixed that
Stay on iOS 15 as long as you can if you want longer battery life.

That is awesome! When do you think Apple will stop software updates for the iPhone eight model? Do you expect the iPhone 8 will receive a new update next year when iOS 17 is released? My parents have iPhone 8 models and I am trying to help them decide whether or not they need to upgrade to a new phone. What we usually do is trading the oldest devices and I hand down my phone to one of them and I always get the new phone and then whoever didn’t get my phone will get a new phone. We have not done this in a couple of years. My dad was due for an upgrade so I gave him my iPhone 7 several years ago when I had to get a new phone because my other was stolen at work and then I gave him the 7. A few years later, I gave him my iPhone 8.
I'd be shocked if iPhone 8 gets the update to iOS 17. The 8 and X models probably get dropped in support next year, but no reason to upgrade before then if they're happy. My mom is also still using an 8 Plus, so I'm going to have to buy her a new phone soon.
