Great video. My Mr Man was supposed to go to Woodstock. He was 15 at the time. His mother told him that it was going to rain all weekend. So he stayed home. However, his best friend did go. They got to the bridge about a 1/2 mile away and walked to the field that was to be Woodstock. Music festivals have learned how NOT to hold a festival from Woodstock. There was no food, water, or restroom facilities. They were wet, they were hungry, it was a mess, still with ALL that. He says to this day that he would have done it all over again. But carry a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter.
i've been following the dollspod unveiling the legends Emma. i'm a massive Abby fan and now, especially after this last Karen Carpenter episode, you have my admiration too. those are not easy revelations to make for yourself or about Karen. she was magical and that broadcast by you both, written by you, was thoughtfully constructed. hope you don't mind me crashing your comments page. I really enjoy your videos. You're doing a great job putting these videos together. Could you do some focus on the folk artists and folk festivals in the 60's with bih names like Joan Baez, Donovan, Peter, Paul & Mary, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell (her 1960's music), Canadian folk artist Gordon Lightfoot, Buffy St. Marie, Simon & Garfunkel, etc all the big 60's folkies. Of course, they all continued their music careers after the 60's but I love their 60's music a lot! By the way, your dress is so cute! You would have fit in so well..especially as a "flower child" more then a hippie who were more radical. I myself relate to being a "flower child." I was very young at the end of the 60's, about 14, 15 years old and flower children were more gentle types then hippies who sometimes more radical in many ways. Are you originally from USA?
As always very informative. It was an era I lived thru, but was too young to personally experienced. I head stories though - many would be inappropriate for this comment section.
I imagine bohemian and hippie fashion was all over Woodstock and Monterey pop festivals where everyone can just sing and dance to the wonderful sounds of psychedelic and rock and pop Brian Jones as always was the most stylish musician in the sixties and he was the most stylish at Monterey pop
@Elmojones8 Yes I was quite aware of its origins, but didn't know who were the ones who really brought it into the what we know and love today. Prior to the 1960s counterculture movement, nobody was wearing clothes like that, right? So who started it and where?

Who started the tie dye movement in the 60s?
@Elmojones8 Yes I was quite aware of its origins, but didn't know who were the ones who really brought it into the what we know and love today. Prior to the 1960s counterculture movement, nobody was wearing clothes like that, right? So who started it and where?
