I went through 4 of these n30 phones. Each one i had to file a warranty claim with my carrier. It was a good phone at first but the OnePlus companies claim that it is built for gaming in mind is far fetched. It gamed good for about a month and then the problems started. It would crash which ever game i was playing at the time. Then the overheating started, and then the phones started to power off and on by themselves. So i went to the Samsung Galaxy a54 5g

Loved buying this phone. Better that the iphone 15 i had. This is a gaming beast! Still got a slot for my 1 terabyte sd card. Good battery life and fast charging. Just got android 14 update.

I love my iPhone. But Apple screwed themselves starting with the 14 by removing the sim tray in the USA.
I refuse to Use a CDMA device, and don't be fooled, esim is nothing more than expanded CDMA. Shite is still shite no matter the smell.
I despise Samsung and Google devices. I love how iOS works and Oxygen OS is very iOS Esq with improvements that Apple should be paying attention to.

I hate when ppl act like just because its a certain year or what kind of phone it is, its a surprise with what you get just because its not an iphone or a very expensive android like Samsung... You know how many phones out here no matter the price still have headphones jacks... You dont have to have a $1,000 + phone to have a good phone. Just because it might be a $300 phone does not mean it's a cheap phone a lot of people don't have $300 to get a phone. Yes I do own this phone currently but these videos need to stop making it like if you don't have a certain phone it's not good enough

It's actually a positive that it's an LCD display. Amoled displays are terrible as they flicker to reduce brightness (PWM) as opposed to DC dimming on LCD displays. About 15% of the population experiences headaches and eye strain with Amoled, the dirty secret of Samsung dislplays (which Apple uses).

Also felt One Plus seemed like, meh...
I had the Nord N20, good phone. But only got 1 update to Android 12. 🤦. Still have it though. I do love the 128GB on One Plus and Samsung. Expandable storage on both...Just love the screen on Galaxy and just all the crazy features! I don't think I'll go back another brand. Done with Apple for sure...

I love that the fingerprint sensor is in the power button, you turn it on and read the FP at the same time.
This phone does have an older soc in it, but if you wait two seconds to let the phone fully load up.
It runs as well as any other mid to high end device. And yes it’s a 300.00 dollar phone.
It packs a lot in to it.
And don’t let anyone tell you it has a bad screen cause it’s a fantastic screen. It’s not one of the new jobbers that mkbhdxyz harps on about, but it works flawlessly. In all the time I’ve had this phone, it would be easy to say I like the screen on it more than the one on my iP13PM. Ah! OLED, yes, oLED is nice, but absolutely not necessary.
Another thing, this is a 300.00 dollar budget phone, stop pissing and moaning that it’s not flagship.
And the PM has a very good screen.
    Case.
I have several OP phones, and they are all Teflon slick, so as he says it is highly recommended you put any OP phone in a case.
One big lie that people on the YT constantly spit out is that you shouldn't close out apps that you are done using.
What?!. If you are done with them why shouldn't you close them. Every item in ram is using battery. Period. No matter how optimized they say the system is. If its in ram its using battery. If its in ram its using system resources.
Android and iOS as good as they may be are not perfect and do make mistakes over time and as competent homosapien sapiens we should do everything we can to keep our devices healthy. Yes there is such a thing.
Keeping your unused apps cleared from ram is a huge start.
I regularly clear apps from ram and that extra 1/1000 of a second it takes to open that app back up a week after I last use it is a sad reason/excuse to keep apps running in the background using resources.

I'm going to ask this here because I have tried to Google it and I can't get anything that I recognize as information. I have this phone, I'm pleased with it I'm not asking much but I do like it, but I am now trying to find something as simple as a case for it. I found a couple that fit the N30 but are cases for N300 going to work as well? Is all that's being accommodated is the camera lenses?
Again sorry to ask such a mundane question here.... And thank you so much for the response!

    • @epicmango-xf4js

Cases that fit the N300 won't fit the N30, not only is the camera size different but also the phone all together.

The nord n40 may be a good device. But if you need a phone now. Its not an option because it doesn't exist.
Just like the N4 or N5 which ever they go with next.
The N30 and Nord3 are both fantastic phones. The Nord3 was never officially released in the USA but can be purchased through Amazon, and if you use T-Mobile or a TM mvno it will work just fine.
I don't know if it will work with Verizon and know for sure it will NOT work with ATT or any of its mvnos.
The N30 is not as powerful as the Nord3 but is still a competent device well WELL worth consideration.
If you need a new phone NOW! And only have a few hundred to spend and want something that will still be relevant in 3 or 4 years, this is a good device to consider.
