Wow! I didn't know that these were not accessible. When I see these comic book cover sets in stores, I always assumed that you can open them up and take the figure out. Clearly you can open them up, but I think it would have been a better design if Funko didn't glue the cases shut and made the cases accessible. You risk damaging the case if one would want to take the figure out!
Been looking at buying these and replacing the Funko and backing with other funkos and comics I’ve got. Your video has helped me a lot in finding out I don’t think it’s going to be possible. Thank you so much! Really appreciate it! :)
Does anyone know if they sell the acrylic box on it's own? I bought a Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora pop recently and it fell as I was trying to put it on the shelf and it got a crack on the side. I don't really care about the resale value or anything so I'm fine opening it and replacing the acrylic. I just want to fix the eyesore that is the crack
@@vicenteparra5018 It is but be advised that it is super glued so it can crack the bottom of the case. It also may need to be sanded down. What I actually have been doing is using An exacto knife to cut the figure off and then just gluing my custom onto it.
*So now is there a way to remove them from the black stand? Cuz I have a couple in my collection & that stand is just getting in the way off how I want to display them.*
@@hasbook7156 *Okay yeah, the 2 that I have are on there pretty good. But thanks for the tip. I’ll try that out & see what happens. I’ll let ya know how it goes lol*
You can, but it can be tricky. Sometimes they pop off, other times you have to use a sharp knife to slice under it. Someone suggested adhesive remover but I haven't tried that.
@@BbuyTheStars squeeze the acrylic right above the black base. You should hear a popping sound of the glue Seperating. Just do it gently and go around all 4 sides.

Samee until I just bought one today 😂
I have a broken MCR case and I want to replace it. Good tutorial! Thanks! :)
I’ve got the same problem but unsure where I can buy more :(

Thanks! I was about to get my hammer.
Thanks so much!! Now I can FINALLY open it up, after just over a year of having it and trying to pry it open with my fingernails!! 💀
@mega_anti_brainrot_kid you’re welcome!
So weird how the Pops inside aren't accessible. Some of us like to look and feel them up close, not just display.

I have quite a few if you want them. I had plans for them but have too many other projects. Shoot me an email grenvillenash@gmail.com
Master Funko Pop box opener 👑
Thank u finally found a video for it
You’re welcome! Sorry it’s not the best quality
Thank you so much for this video! It helped me and my dad remove my Sonic funko pop from it's box! 😊
@@ThePinkBlurSonicFan glad it helped!
Thank you! Appreciate you posting this!
Si you know if it’s possible to separate the funko from the black thing beneath it?

@@hasbook7156 Oh ok, thank you very much for doing this video!

It’s tricky as some will pop right off but others can rip the plastic base. You could try a hair dryer or some sort of glue remover.

My son just found the moon knight 08 comic cover on sale cause that pop was loose so let's see if this works 👍
Good luck!
W tut cheers
Hey I have this but a different figure Just asking if it’s possible to remove the person from the stand?
Yeah, all the figures are glued onto the base. Some pop (hehe) right off but others you may have to try and adhesive remover
@@hasbook7156 Lol nice joke! Thanks for the help I appreciate it!
Is it a similar method for the new *giant* £60 pieces?
I honestly haven’t tried those. They may be easier as they are held together with screws.
@@hasbook7156 Ah, you might be right there.. Perhaps with a long thin screwdriver..
Could the box be closed back?
Yes it can. The top will come off easily as there is no adhesive. You could super glue it if you wanted to seal it again.
can you remove them off the stand
You can, but it can be tricky. Sometimes they pop off, other times you have to use a sharp knife to slice under it. Someone suggested adhesive remover but I haven't tried that.
Can you put it back in the case
If you’re asking, yes you can.
i was too impatient so the little small acrylic part broke off 😂 now i can’t open it 💔
You should still be able to open it. Squeeze just above the base to start popping the glued bottom. You can use a flat screwdriver to pry it open
@@hasbook7156 so should i squeeze the black base or the acrylic part by the end??

Why would you wanna damage it?
It’s to make customs. Funkos comic covers are not rare. Most are sitting on clearance in targets.
@@hasbook7156 ok I collect the Disney posters and there still $60
I just stepped on mine now I don’t have my cases anymore 🤦🏾♂️
I Broker the Little Thing to Open the funko
Funko dumb af for not letting you remove the figures out
I feel like it ruins it just my opinion
Well most people do them for customs. I began this when Funko hadn’t put out a lot of them.
