  • This is how to adjust coarseness and timer for the old version of the Bunn G9 grinder. The instruction manual is written very poorly and there are no videos out there showing you how to do this, so I had to figure it out myself.
You’ll need a 24mm socket to loosen the coarseness adjustment screw nut, and a flathead screwdriver for all screws.
The timer is located behind the faceplate beneath the chute opening. You’re welcome in advance 😂✨☕️

greeting! i have not tried taking it apart or cleaning at all. if you are getting residue from old coffee oils, i would recommend checking out Tabz grinder cleaning tablets: www.amazon.com/Urnex-Professional-Grinder-Cleaning-Tablets/dp/B0014J7FUY/ref=asc_df_B0014J7FUY/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309735741984&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9026156041971040945&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031182&hvtargid=pla-347658283862&psc=1
this should help if there are any flavor issues you notice. the coffee you grind immediately after using these tabs however will still have some of the cleaning tablet powder mixed in, so be sure to discard the coffee that you grind immediately after using them.
depending on frequency of use, you could clean using these tabs once a week (though I truthfully do it less frequently than that). when i worked at the cafe we cleaned the grinder with tabz every day.
      hope this was helpful!

Hey. I have the same machine. People from the company told us to use oil losener. Just a little bit the we could move the bottom. We did move it. It was tough. We wanted finest grind. Now the grinder stop working. Do you know how to clean it?

Thx for the reply! I haven’t tried cleaning it yet. Maybe I will figure that out and upload a video about that! Sorry to hear about your machine-I hope it starts working soon! Did you use a socket to loosen the nut like I showed in the video?

I do roast my coffee oily. I guess that’s why the grinder needs a cleaning.
