Thanks for the update on Frank. I hope he is prosperous and happy. Rhubarb leaves are toxic to eat for both people and animals. Serious poisonings can result in kidney failure. Deaths have been reported, but are rare.

Those strawberries 🍓 are looking beautiful! Great harvest, I’m so happy that the new strawberry plants are producing so many berries for your family. All the hard work you put into caring for the plants and the pay off has arrived.

Strawberries are one of those things that even if they’re Not perfect, they’re still good enough to eat and Enjoy. Very limited growing season in most States. 👍

Mom's gonna swat you! Lol! I've been Frank a few times. Working on nurseries and got a chance to work for a "" regular "" place with paid holidays and bennies and OT. Insurance. Yea. Both times the owners understood. I continued the following year part time on weekends because I missed it. It was 8 years apart. Two different places. Once I got married and we started having children I needed more income. Even now? I enjoy hauling a few loads of fertilizer for Lebanon Seaboard to sod farms and bigger nurseries. Memories. Strawberry Rhubarb pie. Another seasonal gift! Right along with dandelions and ham. Happy harvesting! God bless and safe travels!

I'm glad to hear all is well with Frank. Best of luck to him. I tied my tomatoes for the second time today. I just run the twine along the sides of the row and wrap it around each stake twice. It's always worked great for me.

Hey Logan, so it seems that the older plantgrower was right that you don't have to have the biggest leaves on plants to get the greatest crop of strawberries?

Maybe Frank will come in and make a special cameo appearance, dox us his info and we will flood all of his account with fan mail😊 You did not heed the chikinz warnings now look you are overwhelmed by berries. I love her hat I’ve got this great big crocodile hunter hat I want one of those huge ones you see them working the rice patties over in Asia with,if you pull your arms in it’s just like standing under a tree all day.

I paused the video at the 18:42 mark, when you reached in to pick berries! I live in Jacksonville, Florida. I grow veggies fervently and a few strawberries almost by accident. We could never, ever stick a hand into those berries on top of those dead leaves! in our jungle! That is where venomous snakes and constrictors lie in wait for the birds that come for the berries! I have to take a stick and stir everything carefully ahead of me for about 30 inches before daring to put my hand down there! I'm so surprised by the difference that location affects growing seasons, sequential planting, and especially the place of humans in the food chain! If you were to pick a field that size here, you would have been bitten by a cottonmouth, a copperhead, a rattlesnake, a python, an anaconda, or one of several venomous spiders within the first hour! I'm glad you can harvest your crops without having to take precautions from the native wildlife! your right hand reaching into that dark shadow at 18:43 was a "YIKES!" moment for me! Super nope doing that here! if you ever vacation in Florida, only swim in the hotel pool! we natives don't swim in the rivers, ponds, lakes, or oceans, because we don't want to be eaten by the alligators, crocodiles, sharks, or barracuda. Good videos! Keep it up!🤠

Rhubarb leaves contain a couple of different chemicals which are unfortunately toxic to both humans and animals. While you’d have to eat quite a few to become ill, it’s still best to steer clear of them.
