Boss Analysis # 57

In the fifty-seventh episode of Boss Analysis, we return to Super Bomberman for the final time with the fifth and last game in the series and attempt to defeat each of the bosses with no upgrades whatsoever.
This means no firepower upgrades, no additional bombs, no speed-ups, etc. Thankfully, now we're back in post-Bomberman 2 days again, the standard firepower is 2 rather than a measly 1. Praise to the bomb god for these small mercies!
Surprisingly, Bagura doesn't make a return, (yet) instead this game focuses on Terrorin and Fiendish Bombers, who Terrorin frees from their prison and teams up with to rule the universe. It's up to white Bomber (and black Bomber, if you're playing two-player adventure) to stop these scumbags and save the universe.

Well, now that's every boss from the Super Bomberman games covered. Funny how the final game has bosses that go down in much fewer hits, but can be more challenging. (at least early on)

Pirate Bomber and his pitiful helper made me thing, how many bosses are there where if you kill the main boss first, the helper powers up to avenge their master?

Honestly, super Bomberman 5 probably has the hardest set of bosses in the pentalogy, ironically, it's not the later bosses that are hard, but the first 3 instead, bomber Woof especially, even with power ups, he is still quite difficult, the three major reasons being the mines, his speed and the smarter ai, hitting bomber Woof from afar is pretty much impossible because he is just too fast, getting close risks you being killed by the mines and the fact that if you don't deal with him quickly, the chances for his ai to trap itself lower as more blocks are destroyed.
