My only problem with ships nowadays is that they aren't double drops after a year like the characters. I cannot even unlock Holdo's ship because I never feel like I have time farming Ebon Hawk while needing to relic characters.
It is ROUGH. I've neglected my fleet solely because the drops are so brutal to get. But I'm playing catch up now since my ground toons are decent enough to get some holds for the time being.
Let me put this in perspective. I got SLKR and SEE and I still do not have a 7 star Finalizer. My suspicion is this is on purpose since not much ship activity happens whereas characters come in much faster and often.
If you look at the numbers, if ship drops were dubbled then you could get all 50 or so WAY faster then the 200+ characters. basically you would run out of content and instead of just adding more and balancing... imean cmon its cg
It really sucks, but I kind of understand the decision. Ships don’t require gear. Once you get a ship to 7* and max out it’s abilities, you’re completely done with that ship (not including the pilot). That’s probably the logic CG is working with and why they haven’t doubled drop rates.
@@AhnaldT101 I'm actually doing the opposite and ignoring my characters for ships instead. Even with your G13 mats guide I still find it almost impossible to farm G13 for where I'm at. Ship grinding is brutal but so is G13. I dunno.. I wish G13 mats were more accessible so I can actually relic some characters but for now I'm cool with farming out Sep / Galatic Republic fleets instead. Biggest issue for me with ships is ability upgrade mats/ship credits.
I would love to see the Raddus get some help. The Holdo Maneuver is one of the only things in this game with amazing polygons, such a shame it is so rarely seen

Thank you so much GA!! This is going to help out a lot of players, me included. I would love if you did a characters counter video with subsections of Early, Mid and Late game tiers. An example would be Padme. For early game tier you can list a team that you don’t need to play too long to get that gives you your best shot up against Padme, then do the same for mid(would have more options compared to early) and then late game, and do that for all the major teams out there. That concise video could help the Kyber Club or viewers in general to know the absolute best team they can use against their opposition with what they have.
I think that is a bit tricky to contain in a video topic. Mainly because how you define early, mid, late game is debatable and early game looks very different depending on what you farmed. Early game on my F2P doesn’t use Padme, DR, JKR when others do. Generally, SWGoH.gg is probably the best resource since it pulls from 100k-200k accounts playing Grand Arena and you can filter by what you have in your roster vs what the enemy team is!

My Home One fleet usually gets me in top 5-10 but it's a lot of work. Negotiators I can win regularly with but the win rate vs Executors is very low. But it's impressive how decent Admiral Fish and the Get Fresh Crew can be in arena!
Home One is seriously underrated and easily accessible. No waiting on GET-2 or special events. When I was running it, I could take out Negotiators easily, and any non-optimal Executor lineup. Razor Crest/Hounds Tooth/Xanadu Blood lineup was just too much, though. But now I have Profundity for that. The fleet moves right on over.
Thank you, Grand Admiral. Nice to see that my favorite fleet is 5th, just after Executor, Profundity, Negotiator and Malevolence. My Chimaera with TIE Interceptor is truly amazing! Except a single Executor (who parked itself at 1st spot since the last event), I can beat every other fleet in my shard. I'll probably drop a few ranks when more Executors or even Profunditys show up... but for the moment it does its' job.

I'm the ship officer of my guild, so this stuff is right up my alley. 👍 Also I find it crazy that Hounds Tooth is and has been the best ship in the game since it was released. Literally works to an insane degree in practically any fleet.
yep, it was the first true tank ship. Still mostly is, with a relic'd Bossk , adding the crew stats boost to the ship does make it a formidable opponent. can be countered, but does depend on the capship lead. certainly a pain in the ass for any attacking fleet regardless of what faction it is tanking for. later other non crew tanks were added, nice but have their limitations. Still few tank ships with crew, and most are not quite true tanks but more attack or assist tank, require other ships or skills to taunt. MG 100 does look to have potential however for Raddus and resistance faction but still needs other ships to make it more viable.
Rebels with MilF are the one exception and it's true whether you're running Profundity or Home One. You want the Rebel assists and faction bonuses more than HT's general awesomeness.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Executor and Profundity are better than any GL. Prioritize getting one of them by at least around 4m GP. As an example, the last round of Gac, I had Exec and 2 GLs (4 star by the way, R0 Bando) and won every single match. No problems. My opponents were 2-3m gp higher than me and had more GLs. And I just set Exec on defense and saved everything for offense, it just works! 😅
If you don't have the Executor, Windu's ship works surprisingly well with Bounty Hunter ships. I would place it in the Knight category. Before I got the Executor, I used Windu's ship with my BHs to counter Negotiator.
@@zakunick1 On offense. Before I got the Executor, I would use the Endurance to counter Negotiators in Grand Arena placed on defense. The trick was keeping the Hounds Tooth and Slave 1 alive.
My big issue with ships is that it's so much tougher to understand the concept of a fleet compared to a squad. There's no "Suggested Fleet(s)" button on capital ships or individual ships, and I really think that's a huge detriment to this side of the game, because if you're not looking into how to do this stuff, you're going to stay pretty clueless.
i finally unlocked my kenobi capital ship and it absolutely rips, im enjoying the game alot more as im now able to compete at higher levels, i hope cg doesnt keep going backwards and actually trys to listen to the community more often
Luckily I focused heavily on fleets early on and so fleets haven't ever been much of a problem for me. It's actually my bread and butter and main source of crystal income.

@@StocktonSmurf rarely spend on this game, didnt spend on the fleets. Farmed from very early when ships were first released. getting the capships more important to making ships more viable. but having viable ships ready once capship attained is very nice.
totally agree. i think there will be additions to change the balance of each squad. much like FO team before Finalizer was terrible, good with the capship, but Echellon does help give other option setups. FO still seem to be lacking maybe 1 or 2 ships perhaps. Raddus does have potential but also lacking in ships and possibilities. i guess awaiting new additions. Home one was a nice staple easy starting ship , for many types including geo ships, but with the new ships does have a increased power options and setups. hope to see each of the faction capships get more ship options and variations to play other than just att or def, but with right setups can do both with alt counters. maybe 6-12 months later might have some new options along those lines but few i would think.
I do like ships but they take longer to unlock, I just unlocked vaders tie advanced this morning and it's my strongest ship I have. I do also have the slave 1 and am working my way towards Palpatines shuttle. Love the vids, keep up the good work
also with the ranking, most capships in top are executors, few negotiators, odd other ones, with a Executor you can expect to always be in the 25-50 ranking at all times. getting that 50 crystal per day from ranking. top 1-35 ranks is mostly Executors. even lesser ones.
One question I have is the best order of ships for each fleet. Meaning which ones should I start the battle with and which ones should be reinforcements. Also what order is best to call the reinforcements in to battle. That would be a helpful addition to this video topic.

Wish they would start adding some more ships to fill out these fleets. There are enough Galactic Republic ships (thought not necessarily ones that participated in the Clone Wars) to fill out another fleet. Padmé's Naboo Cruiser, Naboo starfighters, Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter, perhaps a LAAT (they can go in space for brief periods), etc.
the mace windu capital ship is actually OK with bounty hunter ships on defense if you don't have executor. of course once you get executor it has no use.

While it's certainly the worst fleet we have right now, I think Raddus/Resistance deserves more credit than it gets. With Bomber as reinforcement, I've used it to counter Malevolence and Empire, and it's an easy cleanup for Executor if Finalizer was able to get Hound's Tooth out.
I always like prioritizing my ships because there’s nothing worse than not full clearing because you didn’t work on ships enough or not getting crystals in fleet arena
I always try to keep current with the fleet meta so I get as many crystals as I can and like you said, having the meta fleet can be a huge advantage in GAC, when the executor was more new I'd win most of the time my opponent didn't have one because id throw it on D and they couldn't full clear
I think that you are really underestimating Ackbar + Biggs + Bistan + Han Falcon fleet. I´m around 30. place in arena and regularly beating Kenobi + Anakin fleets. Some canadian guy is around 20. place and he is obviously able to beat Piett fleet sometimes. But R7 crew is necessity.
My SWGOH fleet is the stuff of nightmares. Enemy's grandchildren won't be able sleep in peace as the pain from my devastation will be felt through the generations. Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
The real crime with ships is that there is still no way to farm Rex’s ship outside of very infrequently being available through the Fleet Store or for GET. You love to see it
I’m pretty much struggling to get ships right now. Having only four shards a pop in most cases is an extreme pain. And on top of that, I want to get a good CLS team, so I have to farm bounty hunters before I can get to ships. Why haven’t they doubled the shards? It would make farming so much easier, especially for people like me who play on-and-off with ftp. I want more fleet rewards and a solid fleet for Grand Arena too.
Your talk about slow ship meta progression makes me think they'll never double ship drops, since they don't want to have people completing that half of the game so fast.
I feel like ships is struggling because we'd get new characters almost constantly but it takes a few months to almost a year to get a new capital, there's so much potential but they're just not putting any attention into it like they should there's a whole list of ships that I'd add and ships Id change for starters if mace gets a rework I think it's about time his capital gets the same, I think they need to add r2 to at least one of the ships already put out (mainly thinking Anakin's ship considering he's on the design, cls gets his snow speeder from hoth, jkl gets his red fighter, Hondo his flying saucer ship if it's big enough make it a bounty hunter capital I doubt it but that'd be interesting, get an ep 1 obiwan and him and qui gonn could get the freight ship they piloted in the beginning possibly, padme and c3po could pilot her royal starship, they keep mentioning nihilus' capital ship but they don't bring it in and get a republic capital ship for the old republic there's literally only three ships from the old republic era, jangos slave 1, there's so many options for God sakes
The AA with falcon is still a get attacker. I can defeat Kenobi and grievous 95% of the time. I was even punching up to the executor if they didn't have cad bane in the initial line up
There are Ship battles in TB, and Ship arena, or just regular battles. When oh WHEN will they put together the first SHIP RAID! .. Come on , must be some plans they have for even a easier pit raid equivelant of a SHIP RAID!.. take down the Death star perhaps? or Battle over Endor.
I feel like you put Nego a bit too high. Exec, Profund, Malev, Ackbar, and Chimera/Tarkin beats it. Also I don’t know why but Profundity didn’t shock the meta as much as the Exec

My rebel fleet can beat some Grievous and Kenobi fleets. I am currently in top 50 in my arena. Edit my fleet is Ackbar, Falcon, Wedge. Biggs, Phantom ,Ghost, houndstooth. Y wing. And my crews are underleved for phantom and ghost. Plus Bossk is just g12. My focus right now is GL luke almost there just need Hoda and jkl.

Unlocked the Executor a few weeks ago and it’s an absolute monster!

I’m pretty much struggling to get ships right now. Having only four shards a pop in most cases is an extreme pain. And on top of that, I want to get a good CLS team, so I have to farm bounty hunters before I can get to ships. Why haven’t they doubled the shards? It would make farming so much easier, especially for people like me who play on-and-off with ftp.
I want more fleet rewards and a solid fleet for Grand Arena too.
Your talk about slow ship meta progression makes me think they'll never double ship drops, since they don't want to have people completing that half of the game so fast.
Yep that is basically the reason I think for them not doubling ship drops. People would farm everything too fast.

I feel like ships is struggling because we'd get new characters almost constantly but it takes a few months to almost a year to get a new capital, there's so much potential but they're just not putting any attention into it like they should there's a whole list of ships that I'd add and ships Id change for starters if mace gets a rework I think it's about time his capital gets the same, I think they need to add r2 to at least one of the ships already put out (mainly thinking Anakin's ship considering he's on the design, cls gets his snow speeder from hoth, jkl gets his red fighter, Hondo his flying saucer ship if it's big enough make it a bounty hunter capital I doubt it but that'd be interesting, get an ep 1 obiwan and him and qui gonn could get the freight ship they piloted in the beginning possibly, padme and c3po could pilot her royal starship, they keep mentioning nihilus' capital ship but they don't bring it in and get a republic capital ship for the old republic there's literally only three ships from the old republic era, jangos slave 1, there's so many options for God sakes

Can you please do a ship guide, how to increase health, damage, etc.
All of that is tied to upgrading your character who is the pilot. The higher gear and mods they have the better the ship is.

The AA with falcon is still a get attacker. I can defeat Kenobi and grievous 95% of the time. I was even punching up to the executor if they didn't have cad bane in the initial line up
They totally can and I’ve done it myself! But it still is not nearly as good as having Falcon in there.
There are Ship battles in TB, and Ship arena, or just regular battles.

I feel like you put Nego a bit too high. Exec, Profund, Malev, Ackbar, and Chimera/Tarkin beats it. Also I don’t know why but Profundity didn’t shock the meta as much as the Exec

My rebel fleet can beat some Grievous and Kenobi fleets. I am currently in top 50 in my arena.
Edit my fleet is Ackbar, Falcon, Wedge. Biggs, Phantom ,Ghost, houndstooth. Y wing. And my crews are underleved for phantom and ghost. Plus Bossk is just g12. My focus right now is GL luke almost there just need Hoda and jkl.
