Your video was the only one that I found that fixed my issue. Thank you so much! My detector had a different symptom, it stopped auto pairing with the headphones. I had to re-pair every time I started it the last four outings. Your video made me realize that the headphone indicator was constantly on, I’ve used it in water once. Wrapped a plastic bag around the control head with several desiccants in it, the next day it was back to normal. I almost shipped it to get fixed. Again, thanks for making this video.

If you un mute external speaker while headphones are attached you can run both at the same time. I assigned a soft key for this. Its nice for making content.

Gonna have to give this fix action a try. Mine came straight out of the box with this issue brand new.
Thanks for the potential fix. I’ll update if it works for me.

I sent this video link to .Minelab engineer.
They may want to talk about this users manual.
    Good video. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t do Facebook. Now you know why.

Glad everything worked out. I was shipped a defective pair of headphones. Before sending them out to get fixed I asked Facebook if I was doing something wrong. One guy replied with the wrong information and then told me to read my instruction manual. I usually ignore those people but I couldn't hold back and told him what he was. I'm still ok with that decision. Anyhow Minelab fixed them. Take care. Love the videos!

Good to hear your issue was resolved. Minelab does a pretty good job of taking care of you if something isn't right.

Very useful info !! I wonder if they have that listed on the trouble-shooting page? Plus that page should have blank spaces for us to fill in as time goes on lol x

I gotta ask, that hand digger. Is that your own design, or can I buy that some ware? It looks very sturdy and easy to pry, plus easy on your palms.

I believe the headphone jack is sealed and waterproof inside just for this reason. I read something that actually said if you get salt water in the headphone jack to rinse it out and dry it. I was like What? I guess this confirms it. I believe I was reading the instruction manual for wireless headphones when I came across it. Now I'm not so worry about a loose connection flooding the head.

Yep water can sit in there for a few days apparently LOL.

I had it. I guessed there is moisture in the audio socket, rinsed with fresh water and dried. Its so sensitive that even fresh water triggers headphone detection. I spray it with spirit to remove excess of water to fasten the process.

Headphone input jack is 100% waterproof even without the cap. Speaker "issue" is normal when you put in the water. You need to wait the pressure normalized than the sound turns back again.

It finally dried out. I'm good now.

Well we have two manticores with the speaker failure it's been two days since it's been in the water and still speaker is not back to normal on both machines

Well, my speaker just failed and I don’t go in the water however, I do rinse it off in an outdoor shower at the beach when I’m done metal detecting. But unlike your problem, I don’t see the speaker icon on my screen when I turn the machine on, the speaker just doesn’t work. Luckily I plugged my waterproof external headphones into it and it works great, and I never use the built-in speaker on the control unit anyway so I don’t know what to do about that issue. 🧐 BUT, I did follow the advice of one guy who answered my question about this on manticore site on Facebook. He suggested that I remove those four screws, holding the control unit to the shaft, and see if any water came out the bottom…and it did. But after I screwed it back on & reattached the coil and turned the machine on…. Still no internal speaker. 😔

Well since we got the manticore both of their machines me and my buddies speakers have gone out been in the water and it's been over 3 days now and the speakers both machines sound like crap got to have to send it back if it doesn't go back to normal what I never spent $1,600 on a machine the speaker sounds like this after being in the water had it sitting out in the sun all day and there's no water in the plug

    • @MentalMetal
      @MentalMetal  ปีที่แล้ว

Nothing will ever be perfect my friend when you use any machine and introduce water. Things will go wrong. You have the warrant and I know it sucks sending it back but Minelab will take care of you.
