    You are putting in work.
    What I do to keep my arms in front of me is:
    As I squat down I pull my arms directly in front of me almost like I was in a bent elbow prayer position and then when I pop my arms go down and the straight up to my sides. What that does is stop the front arm from stating by my side and going right and back.
    Hard to explain but just start with the arms in front of you. Another thing I have to remind myself of is to is to have good posture. Try and keep the back straight. I proper squat before I pop. I have to think about all these things every time.
