I prefer original artists that can play an instrument, write music and can sing not only their own music but can take a song from other artists and really make it their own ...Dimash does all of this as well as taken in the difficulty singing in different languages. I also love Adam Lambert as he can take an original song from another artist and completely make it his own. I remember him singing Johnny Cashs "Ring of Fire" and was blown away it was so original. Adam doesn't attempt to be Freddie Mercury and people complain he doesn't sound like him well, duh, that's the point he doesn't replace Freddie which shows respect for him. Adam used to be my favorite now totally a "dear".
The guy that you are referring is Scotty Mccreery. He sung "Your Man" in his audition in AI season 10. He also won the tenth season of American Idol. And yes, Scotty's lower register was very insane.
You should try to react to the version of "Nonoy Pena" with this song. Nonoy is an amazing new talent who can do different genres..and his covers of Mariah Carey's are top notch!
