    I actually played Hotel Mario for the first time at the Science Museum’s Power Up exhibition last week! I have played CD-is at retro events closer to home before, the 2 games I played being The Apprentice and Infogrames’ tennis game, but to have now actually played an infamous piece of Mario history… WOW! I’ve actually known about Hotel Mario since 2001, read about it in the Mario section of the defunct Nintendoland site, and I first saw its opening cutscene on TH-cam in 2006! (I was looking for videos of Lodgenet’s Nintendo Gateway System)

    Sadly doesn't work for me. I had an old version of the BIOS so initially samecdi just stated files were missing. Once I found the correct BIOS the emulator now states that my controller is not set up. All my other systems work fine with the controller. Even though the emulator states that the controller is not set up, I can use the controller to go to the retroarch menu. If I select resume the emulator continues and I get the Philips CDi home screen where I can move a cursor around the screen. If I move to the "Play CDi" button and click it. I get a blue screen and then a black screen and nothing happens. I have tried multiple CHD files and all act the same.

      For questions like this, best to always look at the core's docs: docs.libretro.com/library/same_cdi/
      Based on them, it does look like iso and chd are the two file formats it supports.

    • @Tinkatuff
      @Tinkatuff 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CHD compression is the way to go when you have cue files. You save a lot of space and just have a single file for each game. It's very easy to convert them with namDHC. I've got most of my library as either chd or 7z, it is especially helpful if you're playing on a device with limited space like a handheld.
