This is less of a tutorial and more of a look at my styling process.

I'm making my very first Chibimoon wig out of an old curly hair wig I had lying around. Don't even know if you'll see this comment on time or anything but just wondered if you had any tips for how to do this? I'm assuming I can just try and style as you did with the straight haired one but I'm terrified at cutting and styling it and potentially ruining it.
Sorry I'm 10 months late HAHAHA What type of curly wig? You can use the exact same methods in this tutorial, just straighten it out first before you work on it. I used to be so afraid of ruining wigs too because of my lack of experience. I suggest buying the cheapest wigs you can find on amazon, ebay, or facebook cosplay resale groups and using those as your practicing boards. It took me about a year of constant practice until I felt comfortable styling for other people, and another 3 years before I even made this first tutorial. I have full faith in you and know you can do it!
This is hilarious and well done! Late to the game lol but I find covering foam core styles in a similar color felt helps speed up the process of doing foam core styles, it give the glue something fuzzy to hold onto so it sticks better! It's what I always do and did in my Jolyne Kujo wig (see my icon)!
Slothtier Cosplay thanks for the tip! I didn't have any trouble with the fibers adhering to the foam since this foam happened to be pretty dense but that's a great way to work with foam with big pores.

Omg this is amazing! In September my little sister and I wanted to be Usagi and Chibiusa, I ended up having to make the wigs since we put off ordering them for so long and it was SO annoying! Usagi's were fine but Chibiusa's were very annoying because of the styrofoam cone that I used for her odango base. I will definitely re-do the wig with this method for future cosplays :)
Honestly usagis hair isn’t very hard since it’s just pigtails with buns in front of then but Chibiusa has buns in a weird shape then the pigtails are all poofy and so it’s harder to do Chibiusa

Thanks! I use Touch N Tone and Design Master Colortool. Honestly I just buy whatever is the cheapest, but you can use any spray. I will say that cheaper sprays tend to be more powdery and blend better into wigs.

What kind of paint do you use? This is so help full this will help me a lot with my Spinel wig. (Steven Universe) thank you.
I usually use cheap, powdery spray paints paints like Touch N' Tone and Design Master Colortool because they seem to blend into the wig better. Any paint will work, though. I was planning on making a Spinel tutorial in the future, as well as other gems!

I appreciate your comment. At that point in my life, I was working in an extremely abusive work environment, and was generally in a constant depressive episode. This was how I coped. Now that I have gotten out of that situation, my self esteem has slowly been healing.
