Give Ace Trips Stretch a try for this too. Haven't tried in game (only practice mode) but I've found some success running this as a fade route to the back corner to the TE. I run out off the right hash and lob it to the TE. I think there's another play that has the TE running a similar route but i couldn't find it looking quickly at your ncaa06 offensive play images.

What situations would you use this instead of using a quick out hot route instead - I feel like it'd get the same kind of separation.

The out route takes longer to develop and doesn't get your WR in the back of the endzone as well, but try it if it suits you better.

I've been struggling with throwing the ball at the goal line, I'll give this a try.
Feels like running the ball is both lower risk and higher reward at the goal line. A simple HB Slam or Speed Option will almost always get it in within 1 or 2 downs.
But I guess it's fun to challenge yourself with different plays and styles rather than running the same old plays every time.

Right, it's harder but a different way to score passing TDs around the goal line.
