It's funny because in a way this movie is the most harmless & easy to forget of recent disney & yet it hold a certain place in my heart. There is something absolutely magic about it. It captures perfectly the essence of Halloween, is light hearted & is a good Burton.
Uh, no. That's a BS statement. This film is amazing. There's nothing bad about it. Why is it easy to forget? Seriously? Because it's black and white? Dumb comment, sorry.
For me it's also very touching, on a deep level. Maybe it seems simple, not saying to all but I'm sure to some, but if that is the case I could say that is the very point. That is why I find it so touching, just a boy who loves his dog so much. I may be 29 years old but that didn't prevent this movie from making me shed some tears. So honest in its simplicity.
This is my favorite movie! Sparky was my favorite character and not only that, this song written by Karen O, "Strange Love", just became my favorite song. It's also a Mother's Day song so happy belated Mother's Day, everybody! This is now my favorite movie and song of all time.

Every time I listen to this song, I always remember my dog. This song gets even more sad for me especially my dog passed away yesterday. I came back to this song to listen and this made me remember and miss her so much
Hi, im sorry for your loss. I also lost my white chi here in my prof photo 3 months ago. But everyday I think of her and I still get teary-eyed and sad. I suddenly remember this movie and shamelessly cried hard back then when I first saw it. If only we can get our pets back to life I sure am gonna do it. Stay strong. This song is amazing, Karen O did a great job with taking elements of Love Is Strange and creating a modern day version. And I had so much fun learning it on bass and guitar
I remember seeing this in theaters and just ugly crying and then hysterically laughing at my own crying. I just felt like my own dog was getting older and it could be his time and he's so full of love, like Sparky. But 8 years later and he is still around! 😁
One of my dogs just died before 2019 ends. What a very lonely way to end 2019 and start 2020. I will never forget him. No other dogs can replace his throne in my heart. I miss him everyday, everytime I go home I remember him waiting for me and got really crazy excited when I got home. He is my bestfriend UPDATE 2022: We just lost our other dog. They're now both in heaven. I no longer have a dog that I love to tease because he easily gets annoyed. I'm hoping that they will get along there, I'm sure they are both happy. This is what I always fear about being a furrparent 💔💔 seeing them go 💔💔

I used to be scared of this movie when I first saw it, I was like some kind of 5 years old when it came out. But damn, rewatching this movie makes me know more and understand more.

I used to listen to the frankenweenie unleashed cd in the car like 24/7 back in 2012/13 because my sister was obsessed with foster the people and mark foster had a song in the album (you don’t understand me) so she bought it and would always play it so I just grew up with this album it meant so much to me
It remebers me so much of my cat- kulka. I found him when he was two weeks and he was everything to me :( in 2019 we were at vacation when grandma said that my cat got hit by a car.. my life stopped and i wanted to cry but i couldn't... he was 3 years old, i hope you're good up there in heaven kulka ❤
