Hats off to Glen and screw the haters here. So fkn what if he’s not as animated as he was in his twenties or didn’t play this solo here exactly like he did in 1980, the dudes 75 years old and still out there jamming on stage! Let’s see how good all these whiners are at that age if they’re even alive 🐴💩
It's easy to forget that back in their heyday Rob's vocal abilities were far greater than they are today. Lots of effects on his voice now to disguise this.
Guys! He's in his 70s. You can't compare his vocals to 40 years ago. Seeing Priest live is about the experience and seeing the heart of heavy metal still driving them to perform. Respect the mark made on the genre by these legends. ❤
Dream on they've just not played for a year, give his voice a full tour it'll be on point again They've literally announced a new album and I'm seeing them play next year with Saxon in support
@@tinymushroom7076 I did think this festival was timed weirdly because the majority of bands on it had either taken long breaks post world tours or hadn't played since pre pandemic 🤷♂️ Performance and touring especially vocally are very much linked , you've got to play the instrument so to speak
Sure they don't sound like they did in the 80s or 90s but guys cmon. Rob is in his 70s. And he's still kicking ass at this age. How many 70 year olds are doing metal tours? Most of them play bingo at their retirement homes having a hard time remembering who their children are. And Glenn, he's suffering from Parkinsons. I cannot imagine how it most feel to struggle to play the songs you wrote because your damn body won't do what your minds trying to tell it. And yet he goes on stage. They aren't in their prime. From a money point of view they are well of. But they are musicians after all. How'd you guys decide, if someone asked you to stop doing what you love the most in your life? Lemmy went on stage terminally ill still trying his best... If you don't like current Priest, don't listen. Don't go to their concerts. Easy as that. Meanwhile I'm looking forward to seeing those lads performing next year.
To see Glenn struggle witt that simple guitarsolo in metal gods was tough. As much as i hate to say it -Halfords done too…. Retire and leave with dignity guys.
Respect for Glenn, and sorry for what he going through, but his ego to keep being seen is writing checks his playing can no longer cash. I know he and his manager wife run Priest these days, and he just can’t be out of the spotlight. But Holy Hell, KK’s Priest is more interesting these days than this.
Cheques Personally I don't see what harm it does and I think there's room for Judas Priest and KK's on the planet, however I doubt Glenn will be able to play much longer anyway hearing this and that's actually heartbreaking 😔 I personally would have preferred KK to have dropped the priest name and gone with Jugulator or something from that era of the band, both albums and live albums I own and Ripper is amazing I love Priest, didn't like the first KK album however an enjoying the new 1 and I've no doubt I'll love the new Judas Priest album because Richie Faulkner is a beast quite frankly and his new album Elegant Weapons is 1 of the best metal albums of the year, lots of 80s Sabbath influence on it which was nice
@@EarlSkakel I doubt they have the heart to say no aswell, end of the day Priest only have a few years left in them and I think the fans just like seeing Glenn on stage in any way he chooses to be on it
It is SOOOOO good to see Glenn still fighting and doing what he can!
Love glenn ever🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Man. I hate to think what cocktail of meds Glenn is on. Big props for showing up. \iii/
While many stupid ppl all over the world are trying to destroy their own life, Glenn is a reference of human! No surrender! Luv ya, Glenn!

It's not easy to forget... It just sounds artificial and bad.

Love em but that was rough. Love seeing Glen tho

Tipton just came out for this "big event"
The Metal God ain't washed up, so any tour is a good tour!
Robs got the black country flag on his back
Hayalimdeki yeni Judas Priest üyeleri:
Tim "Ripper" Owens
Richie Faulkner
Ian Hill
Scott Travis
A.J. Mills
Time to retire.
Now i have to figure out who waddles around the stage more. Halford of Elton..eat a salad guys..

@@EarlSkakel I doubt they have the heart to say no aswell, end of the day Priest only have a few years left in them and I think the fans just like seeing Glenn on stage in any way he chooses to be on it
No, not really. KK's Priest don't actually have any songs that are even a 2/10.
Give some younger bands a chance now guys.
Find a worthy younger band....been waiting decades
Priest gonna be looking for a new Singer pretty soon....
Rob did it all though, longer than most....
Terrible!
