I can understand not wanting to rear end an 18 wheeler while towing a 25' trailer but, to put the burden on avoidance on another 18 wheeler to keep from it, is just plain stupid.
If you're pulling a 25' anything, you need to keep plenty of distance, have your trailer brakes set to maximum and keep your eyes out in front. There was no excuse for what we all observed.................................

it always amazes me when people pull out into oncoming traffic how some human bodies just instantly freezes instead of gasing or quickly thinking to stop and slam it in reverse. some people ive even heard after incidents with no medical injuries, state they blacked out and don't even remember the incident after freezing.
