    10 Weird Stereotypes In Modern Football
    Stereotypes are funny, and oftentimes, illogical, but we see them everywhere, even in our favorite sport. As a matter of fact, football has some of the craziest stereotypes you’ve ever heard of, and we’re here to look at some of them today.
    These are 10 weird stereotypes in football.
    Perhaps the most popular stereotype in football is that players from African origins are strong and fast. Most fans see a player with African blood and automatically expect him to win every duel and feel no pain.
    Another really funny stereotype is that players from Brazil should be skillful. Brazil is known for Samba, flair, and beautiful trickery with the ball, so many of us have unconsciously come to expect every big player from there to be unbelievably skillful no matter the position he plays.
    Speaking of nationalities, there’s this ongoing stereotype that English players are overhyped. Fans see a young English player getting some accolades from the media and automatically assume he’s only getting recognition because he’s English.

    The English players is 100% accurate and it's the reason why the national team had always been a serial bottlers, even with fairly underrated manager (Gareth Southgate).
    Asking about the Farmers League, this seems to be out of range for at least this season. We see notable surprises like Aston Villa breaching the Top 4 in Premier League, Girona breaching Madrid-Barca duopoly in La Liga, and Bayer Leverkusen seeking for the first Bundesliga title (and ending Bayernliga monopoly).

      U made a good point until u said South gate was fairly underrated. Jokes aside yea good points but I will still say the French league is probably the most farmers league put of all of them but even then we still get the very occasional surprise and the English media one is I wouldn't say 100% there's still merit in in has some truth in it

    You forgot the stereotype that left footers are great at shooting. I'm left-footed myself, and I'm decent, but that doesn't mean that every left-footed person is good at shooting. I've seen videos online about how everyone is trying to be better at shooting, and once they start talking about left footers, they make it look like we can bang it in top bins everytime we shoot😂.

    Black people are generally faster, white people are stronger and bigger. I don't mean that in a racist manner and I really do mean generally. White people evolved to be more robust and carry more weight for the cold, more weight = strength but less ability to run for great distances. Same reason white people are hairier than us. We're better at running and cooling down. Also the reason people talk about short people being faster is because they accelerate faster which is scientific. Also harder to topple that's why the likes of Hazard and Messi despite being 5'7 and 5'8 respectfully (which isn't even that short, only to women because they believe every guy that claims to be 6ft) appear so strong, centre of gravity and the ability to convert energy from the ground more efficiently. Mike tyson kept close and was able to generate so much power, he used his 5'10 stature against guys that were like 6'5. Mbappe and Haaland are about as quick as each other but mbappe can accelerate much faster as he's only 5'10, that's why he appears so fast. But once taller people can accelerate they cover more ground with each stride obviously.

    • @kageryu311
      @kageryu311 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The fastest sprinters are tall and the distances that footballers sprint at hit those areas. Also the fastest footballers recorded have all been around 6 ft tall. Henry, Ronaldo, Bale, Robben etc. Even Mbappe isn't a short guy at 5'10"

    • @limpa756
      @limpa756 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yea I mentioned that towards the end, it's just based upon how fast they accelerate but taller people reach the same speeds or can even top out at faster speeds. Mbappe is relatively short for a footballer today, you can usually subtract an inch or two from official heights because of marketing as well because managers want tall players these days. Like Neymar is listed as 5'9/5'10 but he's not. I've met Andy Robertson and Trent for example and I was taller than both of them, I'm about 5'10. Although now when I think about it the average height being so high for teams now is probably a bit inflated because of claimed listings. @@kageryu311

    Americans are still trying to adapt to the sport. Their commentators -and some fans- seem to believe that saying things non-stop makes them look knowledgeable. It’s quite annoying but they’ll learn 🤙🏽

      I’m American I love watching Athletico Madrid, and I have friends that love watching other Spanish and Italian teams but if you look at British fans, they don’t know many other sports, other than cricket and football

    I would say in this modern times 75% of Americans fans are plastic fans and the rest of dem are the American fans who liked football way before it was getting all the media hype in America, like 12yrs ago. And whats with the youth system over there. I know someone who plays at the college level and he doesn't actually know what a serie A is 😂😂😂

      I’m American I’ve been watching Athletico Madrid for a long time now and a lot of my buddies I’ve been watching other Spanish or Italian teams in the lower divisions like Real Zaragoza, and Bologna. and we all play against teams like the Columbus crew used team in the Dallas youth team we’ve been to their stadiums they’ve improved a lot over the past years and a lot of kids at my school or that I see in general all at least know the basics about the sport.

    @4:23 As an American, I’m embarrassed. These simps and swifties just can’t stop obsessing over Taylor Swift no matter what the topic is. Thank God I actually know about sports such as soccer instead of these American fans who know more about Taylor Swift than rules of any sports in general. Male and female. American and European football.
