Hi Rhiannon, I loved this video and your dress! I have a 1914 treadle machine so it's always fun to see someone else sewing that way. I have a suggestion if you want to keep wearing the dress without it slipping off the shoulders that I got from a seamstress. On the inside of the shoulder seam you can sew in a very slim piece of ribbon with a popper on the end and the mate on the inside of the shoulder seam. This forms a little loop to go around your bra strap so the top stays in place. It's a little fiddly but has helped me with few tops that have low backs that want to fall off my shoulders. Great work!!
Hey, I’m so glad you enjoyed this! That ribbon and popper trick is genius, I’ll give it a go. Have fun with your treadle, they are wonderful machines and I’m glad someone else appreciates them!
