LA Knight issues a challenge to any "Maple Leaf Idiot" in the back. Santos Escobar accepts the challenge and defeats LA Knight. LA says the match doesn't count because Santos isn't Canadian. So Kevin Owens promptly comes out to accept the Challenge!

LA knight shouldn't be losing. Right now he is the best on the mic
@@custer4211 It’s amazing how he still gets even _more_ over despite losing
@@CollegeBallYouknow Nanopromos, son! He gets over even more in response to attempts to bury him!
Triple H did this with Austin Theory, Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre last year, where he specifically sent out Kevin Owens to "test their mic skills" in a promo where KO tries to bury them. And it's up to the other wrestler to be quick on their feet and respond, "proving" that they're ready for a push.
Theory failed at it and lost his MitB contract. Drew couldn't go back and forth with KO and didn't win against Roman, stuck in the midcard since. Jey did a great job and he's been a mainstay in the main event since August of last year. This could be the same thing with LA Knight, meaning if they think he can "hang with the top guys", then we'll probably see him getting a big push down the road.
That's a great observation. That's actually a very very good move by WWE if they do that by using Owens as way to test another wrestlers mic skills, but also great way to get someone OVER. Makes a LOT OF SENSE, but also keeps Owens relevant for the long stay like the Miz. You can bring him to headliner, then give him some time on the mid-card and if something really takes off, bring him right back up again like they're doing right now with Sami Zayn BLOWING UP. Now I've been a wrestling fan since Hulk Hogan was in Rocky 3. When Hogan and Mr. T wrestled Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. I was in 3rd grade. I honestly thought Hogan's name was Thunder Lips until I saw him and Mr. T guess star on Saturday Night right before Mania 1. Anyway. As much as I've followed wrestling for as long as I can think of I have moments I lose interest because I think it goes kind of stale. The first time was Ultimate Warrior beat Hogan and was coolest wrestler EVER but then went and started doing promos about his Indian ancestor ghost living on Venus and a bunch of other weird shit. I didn't watch it for the longest time. I watched it a bit when Hitman was champ and then the whole robbery bell ringing thing went down. Wrestling still had a Saturday afternoon show and I remember turning it on for the first time in the longest time and.....this is funny actually.......I saw this dude name Rocky Maivia. "Who the hell is this guy with the green bicep tassels? Never heard of him. WAIT!!!! HE JUST WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!?!?!?" I turned it off telling myself. "And this is why I don't watch wrestling anymore." Then I was in a 7-11 and saw the cover to some magazine with Stone Cold on the cover and the front of it said "STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN IS OFFICIALLY MORE POPULAR THE HULK HOGAN." and I thought "No FU*&ING WAY!!!!! But DAMN THAT'S A COOL NAME!!!!" I still didn't watch Wrestling. Couple years go by. I have my first apartment and Cheater box to watch pay for cable channels for free but I also had the free PPV channels on it as well. I was 21 and lived next door to one of my younger cousins best friends who was 18. My cousin and his friends all just graduated high school and were trouble makers like I was. Drinkers, partiers, and where we lived we all got into a lot of fist fights with assholes from other neighborhoods. My older brother was 26 so I was in the middle of starting to hang out with his friends who I knew my whole life, and my younger cousins crew and we all just mixed. They found out I had a cheater box and flooded my apartment one night to watch what the WCW version of Wrestlemania was. When did people start watching WCW and when did Hulk Hogan become a bad guy?" NWO JUUUUUST started out, but the thing that my cousins and his crew. All 10 of his friend who just made me buy beer for them that Sunday night where all there for was ONE PERSON, and until he had his match.....FOR THE WHOLE SHOW LEADING UP TO HIS MATCH. The crowed kept chanting one name. I'm talking for 2 hours of a 3 hour show. HIS RECORD. 100 AND 0......That name was.......GOLDBERG!!!!.....GOLDBERG!!!!......GOLDBERG!!!!!
Then the fireworks sparked off. This dude ran into the ring and speared Mr. Perfect before the bell rang and with in a minute and a half pinned the guy and ran back out. "WHO WAS THAT DUDE!!!!" I got sucked RIGHT BACK IN. I asked a few questions. Was told that both WWE and WCW were both great but right now WCW was better. Couple weeks later on my cheater box was whatever WWE PPV event and the main event for that was Stone Cold vs the Rock. It was when the Rock threw Stone Colds belt over a bridge and then threw Stone Cold over the bridge as well. I loosely jumped back in WWE but the Rock was champ and he was feuding with Stone Cold, and I thought to myself. I LIKE THIS ROCK GUY but does he really have to dress up like swolled up Elvis?" His gimmick was great tho. The crap that he and Stone Cold were saying to each other was outstanding and I LOVED how Vince was in on the action too. Undertaker was still around and while he was cool as hell when he came out with hat on, he moved over to his stupid satanic sh!t, kidnapping Stephanie McMahon, but moved into his biker look. NWO got so big there was no 2 factions, 3 if you want to include LWO. WWE tried to cop with DX, but no one really liked DX. Sean Michals dropped of for a bit, Triple H BLEW UP and for a time the top 3 dudes were Triple H, The Rock and Stone Cold, but you also had Undertaker in the mix, but there was also Mankind ( who everyone loves) and then Jerhico jumped from WCW and beat both Austin and the Rock in one night. I hated him at first but love him now. Kaine of course was there. Kurt Angle. Even Shane-O-Mac. Who would have thought that Shane McMahon would become a beloved legendary AND GREAT WRESTLER? I still think the whole "INVASION" of WCW and ECW invading WWE was the greatest event of wrestling EVER. The Rock came back. Austin Came back. They didn't use Goldberg or Hogan until later tho. That was a mistake, and but for good reason as WWE won that battle and had to have IT'S LOYAL MAINSTREAM STARS SHINE, But we never got the Hogan vs Austin match. That was more in demand the Hogan vs Flair was, and FLAIR WASN'T THERE EITHER. We didn't get the GOLDBERG VS AUSTIN match either. My point is this. Im back watching wrestling again because of the Sami Zayn hype. I was one of those who hated Reins and the push they gave him because his relation to the Rock, but I loved Seth Rollins. Then I watched as Brock being a part timer......and LOVED HOW THEY PLAYED THAT WITH HIM, but they ran it long enough for EVERYONE TO GET PISSED OFF, and started to feel bad for how he kept beating Reins. There was 2 matches everyone was convinced he would win until he didn't and then once he finally does he comes out with leukemia and the whole world felt bad. Then they have Rollins become the BEAST Slayer and it worked, but Rollins....who does work as either a heal or a face....somehow Reins becomes champ and everything got boring again. But I still followed a little. Reins is a heal. Stealing wins like his wins were stole from him. The whole Cody show, but the Sami thng brought me back cuz I love Sami, and Sami can be used every way possible, but if he's not written right, he's just gonna be a middle card guy getting screwed like Dolph Ziggler, who needs to simply change his name and it will all be different. But being back I kept reaing about this L.A. Knight guy. Horrible name by the way. I watched some promos and a comment asked if anyone notices how he's doing a lot of things like Stone Cold does, and they were right, but when I watched more and more of his promos I thought how this guy is great but he's not just stone Cold, he's also the ROCK and he's doing both of them well. I think he's great. I hope he blows up. He's fun as hell to watch. I dont watch for the matches even tho some are great. Less and less are there actual workers with skills that shine. Rollins shines. Sami Shines. LOGAN PAUL!!!! IF HE'S THE WRESTLER HE'S SHOWN US, THEN HE'S GONNA BE INCREDIBLE BECAUSE HE MIC TALK TOO, and I love that kind of under dog crap.
drew didnt fail tho
links to these promos?
@@johnnymatteis3452 woah dude that’s an essay for sure
Austin didn't deserve MITB or the US Title
Kevin Owens is slowing becoming the "Deadpool" of WWE.
🤣🤣🤣
'LA Knight if that is your real name' Lolol
LA Knight vs MJF at Mania 40 next year. Let's GOOOOO
In a promo match
@@UncleBuddy1994 didn’t like MJF
KO has mic skills of the devil and if u can beat him then ur getting a god level push....yeah
Last time I felt this strongly about how awesome of an entertainer someone like LA Knight is in the industry was with HBK back in 1994. He needs a Marty Jannetty to have an intense feud with!
i don't see "The Rock" in La Knight i can only see Stone Cold Steve Austin but anyway he has everything to be the top guy of the WWE . YEAH !!
Fs that’s what im saying
Sounds like Rock but definitely talks like Austin
He has Austin's cadence but Dwayne's voice from time to time
LA Knight!!
Yeah!
yeahh
This feud would be gold.
I cannot see this as anything beyond WWE being DETERMINED to kill LA Knight with the crowd.
Yep exactly! Promo's that questions a wrestler's whole gimmick should not be allowed. It takes an enormous effort to win crowds, and now they're trying to make fun of all the hoops Vince made him jump and his catch phrases. At this rate he's better off at a different promotion because it seems like he's expendable in the eyes of WWE.
I disagree him and KO are probably friends breaking each others balls. As you see LA knight could be doing a program with stone cold at mania and in line for a big push according to reports
Absolutely horrible take , they are building LA Knight , are you blind
@@UncommonSense83 so, a build nowadays equates to doing a streak of jobs, having other wrestlers completely ignore your promos, and having your promos getting squashed before doing another job? I can see why kids like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but I can't see how these recent events are building up LA Knight as a threat.
@@messey12 there’s a reason he was bray Wyatt’s first match , there’s a reason he was involved with undertaker segment , there’s a reason they abandoned male models, you’re just not paying attention to the right things , it’s ok I’ll hold your hand and show you the way , just watch
3:39 Knight look legit pissed
Knight Is so good
But he's not.
Both are pure gold on the mic and perfect in the ring!!!
They are both better wrestlers, than Mr Boreline...
Ass kicked with neon lights all-over the ring 😂
They clearly think LA Knight is a star....idk why they don't push him to the moon
Great match 😎🔥💯
So good! House shows are the best!
Kevin Owens is funny
awesome to watch! :)
LA Knight made KO look like a dummy. Yeeeaaaaahh…
Nah kevin owens got him with that Rock comparison and that royal rumble match 🤣🤣🤣
@@michaelelohiminnocentmadia8128 @westcoast1axxx Dominik Mysterio can cut a better promo than LA Knight YEAH!
Dummy.. YEAH!
Lemme talk to ya!!
Yeaaaaahhhhhh 🔥
Bray gets buried, yet again! 🤣
Roast Battle WWE!
Pearl Harbor!!! (Jim Ross vc)
YEAH
.......................no. 😂😂
Yeaaah
i love LA knight, but you cant ever put him in a title fight, His character is delusional and nothing said to him sticks, he eats losses they don't stick either. So putting him in a title fight win or lose you are burying his opponent either way. Knight will be able to get himself over in every scenario no matter what. At this point he is slightly above title.
LA Knight isnt that good. His promo skills and catch phrases that are intended to get the masses screaming in unison are his best features. His ring work is mediocre and he botches spots all of the time. He stole his signature elbow drop from the Rock and his finisher from Austin and DDP. Not impressed and I dont get why all hes so over. I guess there are a lot of younger than 25 Rock and Austin fans that never have seen either of them wrestle due to their age. Because either would still blow this knockoff chump dead out of the water both wresting and cutting promos.
You don't get it because you're biased against him. You're probably the kind of person who dislikes popular movies because you like being different.
There's attitude era fans and lapsed fans in general no rewatching WWE solely because of LA Knight. Austin and Rock weren't exactly HBK in the ring. They were standard, just like LA Knight. He doesn't botch much at all.
@censedfear no...he just sucks. He's a knockoff and anyone who has been WWE fan longer than 25 years will agree.
@@Saphy_Bagel A vast majority of the fans like him. He's making attitude era & ruthless aggression era fans rewatch. The majority of legends who've commented like him (Flair, Jeff Jarrett, Booker T, Kurt Angle, Bobba Ray, Tommy Dreamer).
Just stop being a hater. You sound like a miserable b@stard. Knockoffs don't win over the fans because the fans can smell the inauthenticity. Every wrestler is influenced by past generations. Look at the overlap between Grayson Waller and MJF of the Miz. Booker T has talked about this. You can say it about literally every wrestler.
