Back in 1982 when the Vietnam Wall in DC was dedicated Wayne Newton had agreed to give the veterans in DC a free concert. Twenty-four hours before he was to preform, he said his concert was free, but he needed $250,000 bucks to move his equipment. Of course, we Nam vets told him to go to hell. Somehow Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons were in the process of recording in New York. They heard what Newton had pulled and without hesitation came to DC and gave us a great free concert and literally song for hours.
True story: Saw Frankie Valli concert in Canberra Australia in 1976 or 77. Back in the day people actually sat until the end of a song and then would stand and applaude. It was not a big venue, maybe one thousand tops. There was one lady maybe 10-15 rows from the front who was consistently the first one to jump up and after a while Frankie noticed her. So the end of the show and Frankie walks off and comes back out for the encore. Everyone was cheering and then to everyones astonishment he started motioning to that lady and told security to bring her up on the stage! This women could almost not stand up she was so overwhelmed. Frankie took off a scarf he had been wearing all night and wrapped it around her neck! He then stood maybe 2 feet in front of her and they were face to face and looking right into her eyes throughout the whole song he sang "My Eyes Adored You". The place went wild! The lady was completely overwhelmed and to this day I would wager she is still wearing that scarf!
That lady was my aunt. She passed about 3 years ago and it was in her Will that she wanted to be buried with that very scarf. So yes, she is still wearing that scarf. 😔 When she was hospitalized and knew she wouldn't likely make it, she talked about that experience with the Frankie Valli concert all those years ago. She was so thrilled and happy that she had carried that memory throughout her life and she used to tell everyone about it. She said it was like Frankie was singing that song just to her. She claimed she felt a connection with him and that was undeniable and while she couldn't really understand it and perfectly articulate it, she knew it was real. Well, at least to her it was a real connection. A real moment. When she was in the accident (cause of her passing), she said the EMT folks were trying to pull her out of her wrecked car. They literally had to grab her by her ankles and pull her out. They were pulling her leg just like I'm pulling yours. I hope you enjoyed the story.
He was my next door neighbor when I was 14 years old in Steven Crane Village in Newark NJ. I remember the Limo picking him up to bring him to the Ed Sullivan Show. His 1 daughter was my age and we would baby sit his other 2 daughters. When I was a freshman in Essex Catholic H.S. He gave me one of his suits to wear. It didn’t exactly fit well but I wore it anyway and I told my classmates Frankly Valli gave it to me. When he had to move out of the Projects I helped load the truck and unloaded it in his new two family house in Nutley N.J. I asked him why he brought a 2 family house. He said you can always have money from your tenant. He certainly became one of the best performer of all times.

That's because he's not singing.
@@abc456f That's what I was thinking, something fishy here.
The first thing I noticed was how far away the Mic was when he started singing. Looks completely off.
@gkirms I honestly feel sorry for the people in the comments who think he's really singing. Same folks who give money to televangelists for their private jets, and who support Trump. Simpletons who are easily conned. Middle America. When you grow up in NYC, you quickly learn how not to be taken advantage of.
@@abc456f Let's see, Don Henley with The Eagles mimes, so why not Frankie Valli too.
