Alex i could listen to your dad talk about his craft all day long he is a true master craftsman you truly are lucky to have a mother and father that support your endeavours
I agree 💯 hope I'm some what like him when my kids get older at these rate I won't be able change a battery in a year though been needing to put a engine back in for months
It is such a pleasure to watch your dad work, he is meticulous and always thinking of ways to make it perfect without stressing over it. The man is a wizard.
EU-Prüfnummer? TÜV konform...?? Nein, Top Handwerk!! Und fährt damit auch auf der Straße. Dann wundert man sich, warum bei uns in D und A nichts mehr vorwärts geht...
I watched this whole series up to this point and your mother is a super patient person... She really puts up with you and your family with style and grace... She's the !!!
Alex Your dad is badass and top notch 👌👏👍😎🙌 You can tell just how much he loves what he does by the way he explains things Definitely would have been a awesome shop teacher
I just want to say Thank you for making these videos, as a noob fabricator having your dad share his ideas/ways and let us see it all in action is wicked. I've learned quite a few things from your builds and him explaining stuff.
With your dad's experience and knowledge there's no way he just wings it. One day someone just needs to interview him on his experiences. That's one incredible man
Dad and Mom are truly Racers to the bone. Build a 200mph racecar out of a 66 year old 55 Chevy. Impressive the different types of metal used to add strength without weight on the chassis and cage. Quite the couple.
Alex, you are so blessed to have your dad . He is an amazing technician and a Saint for a Best friend. Enjoy every day being with your parents. You guys are for real !
All we Alex and Dennis Taylor fans need to get more folks watching the amazing work Dennis is doing to this hotrod. That work on the notch over the wheelie bars may go unnoticed by a lot of Drag Week watchers but it is CUSTOM HOT! We're talk'n SEMA rite there peeps!
Great dad. I have 3 daughters and two sons. All of my kids love to work in the shop with me and with each other. I sure do miss the weekends that we raced or worked on the race cars all weekend or the whole summer. Enjoy your time with your father. I am proud of all my kids but they have families and jobs in the medical field. Only two of them have a little time for the race cars now. My youngest daughter wants to do drag week because I did it with my son when she was in medical school. The time goes a lot faster than you know.
I really like your Mom and Dads style of making videos. A little more laid back and a lot of common sense explanations. one of my Dad's sayings, " we're not making a watch here". Thanks
Again, watching Dennis work we can see that he SEES THE CAR - DONE - IN HIS MIND, now all he has to do is same as a rock sculptor, he just keeps chipping, cutting, bending, welding til the metal is the same as he saw it in his minds eye. Trying to explain to someone else that vision takes more time than if he just goes ahead and does it himself. Nice work Dennis AND Mom cause she was a BIG HELP too, nice work indeed you Taylors, the '55 will make a statement to the RMRW and DW fans.
I've been reading the comments on this video and couldn't agree more, your Dad is looking tired.. poor guy... I remember those days.... he is a true craftsman who probably doesn't realize how talented he is and humble enough to not admit it if he did, I loved how your Mom just held the parts as your Dad welded... no helmet, nothing... hopefully she closed her eyes... I used to do the same kind of work but don't have the facilities anymore so I live vicariously through your videos.... tell your Dad he is my hero.... seriously... I hope you realize how fortunate you are to have the talented parents you do and never take them for granted.... I'm sure you do.... you are building memories that will last a lifetime... can't wait to see the car do some killer passes, by the way, I still have the same shrinker , stretcher set I saw in the background as they were filming.. :-)... James
Dennis, I could listen to you detailing your processes and watching you fabricate the needed parts for your projects! You are easy to listen to and make things easy to understand! Thanks so much for doing the 55 project on video. Thanks Alex for bringing your dad’s skills to us!!! Stay safe!
Dad and Mom doing the heavy lifting this past week..While Alex out promoting the brand ✔.. Family working together..❤..That hot rod is gonna be a thundering sight to see making that first full hit..
I never thought I'd so fascinated by someone making some brackets. I'm no fabricator. The little things like sanding a particular way to get the desired finish. It makes sense but something I would never have thought about.
Alex your dad is a fabrication wizard, I'm beyond thoroughly impressed with his work. the car is shaping up quite nicely and before ya know it you'll be starting it up for the first time.
Great Dad and Mom…Dad is a fabricating surgeon…Mom is a sweetie…But Alex come on, your charisma (we will call it that) jumps out and grabs my face like M/T’s on a perfect track at launch! Make me do wheelies! ❤️ P.S. great content 🤟
OMGosh.....daddy is super skilled.....I love attention to detail....he clearly loves is work......that is one of t most important emotions in life....I demand it in myself.....love that mummy is hands on ...I hope she don't get torch eye...............so kool.....peace n love....
Absolutely beautiful work on the trunk arch for the piece of art wheelie bar, Mr. Taylor. You should be very proud of how it came out. With the matching radius it is perfect looking and functionally superb. The gas tank fit-up is also worthy of praise and last but not least by any means is the hitch, lights and front arms. Charge her double since you also filmed the process! LOL!! Can hardly wait for the next update. Thanks for the video.
DT did a great job and I like finding the little design elements that go unsaid, like the way the trunk pins line up with the tube in the center (parachute mount?) or the profile of the gas tank matches the trunk.
G'DAY Taylor family, Dennis is truly the ZEUS'S of WHEELIE BARS,a true MASTER CRAFTSMAN,as I'm a 1965 model,40 yrs experience in the Mechanical Engineering trades,it is truly a pleasure watching a Tradesman at work & sharing/ teaching so many hard sweat learnt sills( the wisdom of using a builders SQUARE for guage for 11/2"&2", is a trick I've frequently used in both building 1 with timber & metalwork fabrication,& using what's at hand for radiuses eg. Washers, cans is certainly quickerthan the millennials with the CAD generated pickiest,as always, Kindest Regards, Dave McLaughlin Queensland Australia
I'm retired from G. M. and I remember that option. It's is one of those Dealer installed items. The wheely bars came in a box with the sheet metal. The Dealership just bolted them on and cut the metal. Oh did you know that there was Dealer bolt on V-8 option that came in a box in the trunk of Chevettes. There's a lot of options people never knew about ! 🤔
A kindred soul. Trust me, Mr Taylor can speak on anything he knows or learns at the discussion detail of those tabs in a way anyone can understand. AND, regardless what he said, I would be very surprised if the side to side positional variance is greater than a 32nd in any direction. Its the details like that rear arch that take a build to the level you don't forget. Thanks for showing us.
He said "winging it" yea right ... I love your dad's sense of humor. He's exactly like my dad . They could build that together in a week. Sheesh. I thought my pops was the only one man show on the planet.. nope there's 2.. best wishes to you guys. 6's better watch it azz because I think yall coming in hawt.. Much love from BURBANK CALIFORNIA.
I worked with a guy like Dennis. He was an EE with his daily job but was a master metal worker. He could draw a straight line without a ruler. People like that blow my mind. Too bad they are slowly disappearing.
Alex I’m at 4:09 something and I can see how much work ur dad did.7:42 wow that is beautiful. Taillights and everything. I’m so inspired I started refurbishing my PDP CX 2005 Ensenada Drum kit. Also started work on my car. Your dad and my foster dad same mould. He passed over 20 years ago but his cars are still concurs and winning. He taught me to weld and fabricate anything out of nothing. Watching your dad reminds me how important good teachers and mentors are. Oh by the way the cad monologue by your dad,😉seriously Alex your cad skills, you didn’t learn those in a marketing degree. Your mum fibreglass skills and yours. 32:00 Tailights👍🏾
I could literally watch your dad fabricate all day. I’m a perfectionist like him, but I don’t have the fab skills he has. I’m working on it and have learned a lot from this build.
Your dad does some kick ass work I hope you tell him how lucky you are to have him everyday. Appreciate them well you still have them I haven't had my dad since 1998 so.
I have to have music when in my shop as well. The voices in my head will get to singing along and forget to about me, makes it much easier to get stuff done. Dennis when you run out Sharpies switch to a Milwaukee Inkzall, they mark on just about everything and the tips are stronger than a Sharpie. Cars looking great.
You have a great family. I don't think anyone can say any different. If they did they are full of it. Keep up the good work and good luck at Drag Week. Those fasteners on trunk deck are the coolest I've ever seen.
Wow..now that's what I call wheelie bars. Can't buy em like that, at Summit. Your Dad did a good job with the go pro. Although, I was really hoping that he might do a little side video of his Whillys Gasser. But other than that, he did great. Thanks for the video.
You're a lucky lady Alex. Your Dad is awesome with his knowledge and skills....(and having a good looking daughter helps him of course....:-) Oops, almost forgot Mom, fibreglass maestro and all-round help when you're not around. Go Mom!
This is my new favorite TH-cam channel!!!.....I always look forward to the updates! Your Dad did an amazing job with content, and his fab skills are second to none!
I love when Dennis smiles at the camera. A bit like Schwarzenegger in Terminator II 😂 That said the man is such a wizard and his made-by-eye turns out 10 times better than if I had measured 100 times to do the same job. So impressive!
Alex you’re fired! Your mum and dad did a great job, he is indeed an artist. The attention to detail and pride in his work is awesome. Kudos to you for taking it on and being involved so many people miss opportunities because dad can do it or not wanting to do it because dads into it. Just awesome
Alex i could listen to your dad talk about his craft all day long he is a true master craftsman you truly are lucky to have a mother and father that support your endeavours
Couldn't have said it better
If you don't know project binky, go check their craftmanship too.
Beware: you have love brackets building, or you're gonna do.

Poor Dennis looking tired AF, and politely dealing with Alex's youthful exuberance. Two thumbs up to Dennis and wife!!!!!
He is so great.
Go Dennis... 🚶🚶🚶
100 percent agree
I agree 💯 hope I'm some what like him when my kids get older at these rate I won't be able change a battery in a year though been needing to put a engine back in for months
It is such a pleasure to watch your dad work, he is meticulous and always thinking of ways to make it perfect without stressing over it. The man is a wizard.
My sentiments as well !!
Dennis truly is a Master at his craft!
Your father is a real artist,,,, just sitting here in Germany and being totally fascinated of his work!
definitely a gifted and talented fabricator...he has the technical mind to go with his skills.
EU-Prüfnummer? TÜV konform...?? Nein, Top Handwerk!! Und fährt damit auch auf der Straße. Dann wundert man sich, warum bei uns in D und A nichts mehr vorwärts geht...
Yup same her from The Netherlands 👍
Your dad is an engineering genus
I can only sign that... 👍🏼
mom and dad did a great job filming the update's of the car.
And the way your dad explain what he is doing is just perfect.
I watched this whole series up to this point and your mother is a super patient person... She really puts up with you and your family with style and grace... She's the !!!
Alex I think the world needs a Q&A with your dad.
Announcing Car Name 3 weeks ago is also a Q&A
I feel like your dad should be wearing a white lab coat **Professor Taylor** lol what a mad man
I stole your Professor comment because it just seemed so fitting! I will totally footnote and give you credit for that, lol

Your dad is badass and top notch 👌👏👍😎🙌
You can tell just how much he loves what he does by the way he explains things

Yes
Your Dad is amazing. Amazing craftsmanship . Your fab skills are incredible and you are doing a great job with the channel !
I just want to say Thank you for making these videos, as a noob fabricator having your dad share his ideas/ways and let us see it all in action is wicked. I've learned quite a few things from your builds and him explaining stuff.
Loved it regarding your rear modifications. They didn't know what a 265 would do...back in 55! I had to laugh regarding the wheelie bars.
With your dad's experience and knowledge there's no way he just wings it. One day someone just needs to interview him on his experiences. That's one incredible man
That's the mark of a real tradesman though. Oblivious to the amount of thought that the rest of us would spend...
You can count on your dad to record whenever youre out, he did an amazing job at it.
your dad has some incredible talent!
Riding with Dennis Taylor! Your fam is the best.
Dad and Mom are truly Racers to the bone. Build a 200mph racecar out of a 66 year old 55 Chevy. Impressive the different types of metal used to add strength without weight on the chassis and cage.

Your Mom is a rare gem Alex, always in the mix and so selfless!!!
Alex, you are so blessed to have your dad . He is an amazing technician and a Saint for a Best friend. Enjoy every day being with your parents. You guys are for real !
Mr. Dennis is an incredible artist/mechanic/engineer/father/husband/friend/racer/all of the above.

🤣 “That’s kind of what they look like...Crap!” He did a great job, the best fabrication channel hands down. I wish my stuff turned out half as good!
💙 Love this channel 🧡
Very talented and humble nice guy.
Great dad. I have 3 daughters and two sons. All of my kids love to work in the shop with me and with each other. The wheelie bars are a work of art. But the trunk lid with the fasteners and the freshly fab'd arch over the wheelie bars is awesome.
I really like your Mom and Dads style of making videos. A little more laid back and a lot of common sense explanations. one of my Dad's sayings, " we're not making a watch here". Thanks

I think most car people would be glad to do 1/4 of what your dad can do, he is so talented. And he still has all his fingers.
@Mike Yea, all the shop teachers I had was missing at least part of a finger if not more that 1
Snap-on bracket adjuster LMAO..... Good one!!!!
I really liked how the trunk turned out. Never would have thought about notching out the trunk lid but it turned out nice.
He said "winging it" yea right ... I love your dad's sense of humor. He's exactly like my dad . They could build that together in a week. Sheesh. Great video Dennis, i think the internet needs a Dennis Taylor Building Master video channel.
