    Hi - after reading and following the blog I got it - it is peculiar how it works but once the pattern is followed repetitively it goes along well. Thanks again.

    Found your videos, thank you for taking time to teach your skills.
    Are you using kangaroo lace? Is there another option to kangaroo lace, for practice purposes?
    Now I need to find your blog.

      We use a lot of calf lace for doing this decorative braiding which you can find at www.leathersmithdesigns.com/leather-lace-lacing-needles/ . We also sometimes use kangaroo lace but I can't remember which lace we used in the video as they both work equally as well. We don't sell kangaroo lace. Here is the link to our blog for doing this braiding www.leathersmithdesigns.com/blogs/braiding-leather-tutorial-how-to-braid-leather-with-three-laces/ . Thank you for your interest in our leather tutorial.

    Hi thanks for posting.
    I'm stuck on what to do with the far right braid and where it fits into the pattern. I can get to 2:22 part of the video but at the Step 2 lacing part where you have a bit of the pattern started I am confused with the lace on the far right. Where does it go at the beginning - in the third or fourth hole? I realize that every second hole is laced and then go back one hole.
    Update - I found your blog post on this and will follow the instructions there.
    Thanks in advance.

      I was wondering if you eventually succeeded with the braid after reading the blog?

    May I know how do you measure the leather you needed for a project?

      We cut 3 strands of leather lace. Each strand should be 4 to 4 ½ times the length of the final leather braid. Here is some more info on the three strand braiding www.leathersmithdesigns.com/blogs/braiding-leather-tutorial-how-to-braid-leather-with-three-laces/ Glad you enjoyed our leather braiding video.

    How far apart are the holes punched?

    • @LeathersmithDesigns
      @LeathersmithDesigns  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The holes for the lacing done in this video are punched at 1/2 inch centers. However we have made tighter looking braids on wristbands which are punched with 1/4 inch centers but they take a lot longer to lace when the holes are so close.
