Does the single shot rifle have a legendary schematic?
For those who dont mind doing some cheesing like myself, if you catch the boss pals that can be ridden and then make a saddle for them you can butcher them over and over again by holding f to ride them as soon as you start the butcher. i got the legendary AR in like 3 mins using this method.
steps:
1. place boss pal in party (with saddle)
2. throw out pal
3. butcher pal and as soon as the animation starts hold f to ride
4. let drops fall
5. get off pal and return to sphere
6. repeat steps 2-5

A tip you should add to this is that if you catch them you get 2 chances at the drop. You just have to butcher them for a 2ed chance

A small tip for players who are too lazy to change armour when they travel to different temperature biomes, the undershirt accessory that boost heat/cold resistance can be stacked, so you can just wear the heat resistance armour and wear 2 cold resistant accessory, then you'll get both lvl2 cold and heat resist. Its also useful for lvl 48 players that can only craft heat resistance pal armour but want to travel to cold areas. You can buy both undershirt from the merchant in duneshelter at the north east desert area
If you get the cold shirt +2 you only need one as the one +2 shirt gives you a +3 resistance
@@Frost.x7x I don't know where to find the lvl 2 shirt though, that's why I'm stacking the 2 lvl 1 to get the same effect as lvl2, you know where i can get lvl 2 undershirts?
There’s actually a glitch that allows u to wear both the heat and cold resistance armor at the same time and an additional shield
First u have to have an accesory equipped and you click on that accessory and then click the armor or shield u want in your inventory, this will swap their spot.

Just for clarification I got a legendary handgun schematic from a purple chest in the open world. So although these bosses do drop the schematics, they can be acquired from random chests as well! Good luck everyone!

True. I got my legendary crossbow schematic from a chest at the end of a dungeon.

@@neatco936 that's interesting and good to know I didn't think you could get schematics from anything but a red chest requiring a key except for the chests at the end of a dungeon I wonder if it's meant to be or if that was a fluke because I've opened I don't know how many purple chests in the open world either way that's pretty cool
If you guys want another tip, do the level 45 dungeons in the snowy mountains, they can give +2 undershirts that give 3 cold/heat resistance. I currently use heat armor with a lvl 1 flame resistance undershirt (+1 heat resistance) and a level 2 cold resistance undershirt (+3 cold resistance). It lets me go in any temperature, hot or cold. I recommend using this set for necromus and paladius cuz night=cold and day=heat. You would have to constantly keep switching the armor in the fight so its better to be immune to all temperatures.
Also, a high risk/high reward way to fight the Legendaries is freeze the Legendary pal then use a rocket(maybe any explosive?) while frozen to launch the pal into the air and then they fall down and die to fall damage. If you are lucky the Pal will launch straight up and come back down, but if it launches away from you…… well….. it will probably die from hitting a mountain or something. lol
I did that with mossanda grenade launcher a few times with the mammorest
Just lob a Mammorest under them and you'll launch them easily.
Chillet, the level 11 ice/dragon boss pal dropped me a legendary schematic for the cloth armor

@@Yuki_Ika7 um, no? There early game is pretty much gone by the time you even think to attempt to fight Kingpaca, and you should already have the metal armor unlocked by then. Grinding for legendary cloth armor and then farming for the mats to make it just for a worse armor is very much a pointless endeavor.
Maybe if it was slightly better than the metal armor, sure, but it literally is worse than basic metal armor, making it just a time and resource sink for people to fall into XD

For the Necromis and Paladius fight. If you fight them at night one will be asleep making it much easier.

@@nonaG123 with any game my first kill is how the fight is intended by the developers. After that if I'm farming bosses then I will cheese them.
The bosses coded the legendary to be asleep. Doing the fight when one of them is sleeping IS how the developers intended the fight to occur lol@@jasco666
When I fought them at night they were both still awake.
Just build a base next to the world bosses and release 15 pals. its a fast gg
i;ve noticed a lot of guides like this seem to ginore something so ill mention it. i forget which boss it was, as i was on a bit of a murder spree taking them out one after another, but i got a legendary schematic of the pelt armor. there ARE other legendary equipment schematics out there available, you don;t need to wait till literal max level to try for legendary armor... though to be fair other armors might still win out in stats, but still, a thing to take note of.

Tip for Paladius Necromas fight: Use the nearby forest and hide inside it for cover :)
You can also approach while it's night time. Paladius, as a non-Dark type Pal, should sleep during the night.
Meaning you can take some time knocking Necromus out and you don't have to deal with 2 of them at once.
Of course, it being in the desert you'll want both Heat and Cold resistant gear to handle the temperatures.
I got the assault rifle from a chest around level 45. It was a red one that required a key.
I got the legendary shotgun schematic on my first Suzuku clear. I had no idea how lucky that was until now. Gotta go farm some mats so I can craft it!
The respawn time, is not every couple days, it's literally every in game day. At the bottom of your screen, theres an Icon, when its Day, its a sun, when its Night, its a moon. So when you kill an Alpha in the overworld, it respawns when that Sun icon appears again. Plain and simple. (Note, you can even kill it at night, close to dawn, and sit there, wait for it to tick over, and watch them spawn)

ANY weapon that can drop as a schematic has a tier 4[legendary] version.
I wish TH-camrs and Game journos, and let's face it, at this point they are the same thing, would do proper research, play the games they cover and actually spread REAL information, not lies.
I have, the old bow, triple bow, crossbow, musket, shotgun, handgun, assault rifle, and rocket launcher, all tier 4.
That alone is 8, and I'm still missing a couple "Confirmed by steamers" drops.

You can double your chance by catching the pal and butchering him after.

I actually pulled a legendary heat resistant metal armor schematic from chest farming on the wildlife sanctuary islands. I also had a legendary clothe armor schematic fall from a Chilet.
They also drop from dungeons. I got the legendary assault rifle and legendary rocket launcher schematics from L45 dungeons. I also got a Defense Amulet +2 (+30% defense).
you can aso find the Legandary recepic is the red glowing chest, the one you need a key for.
i found the L. hand gun recepy in the dessert.

There is a mod to change drop rates to 100% so you have to kill each boss once and get stronger and move on to the next. As a person with limited game time, it helped me a ton.

If they will add additional stats to the game that you can fish for on items (like crit, elemental dmg etc., life regen, rare drops chance etc) and trading with other players following that (and some kind of auctions where you can trade pals with insane perk combos) - my god this game is gonna be insane.
it's worth mentioning that *purple and red chests can give blueprints.* Most of the time those will be green or blue. But they can be purple or yellow.
I think dungeon boss chests are special, with a higher chance. I seem to get blueprints way more frequently from them vs wandering around, though your rate of chests my be higher wandering.
*For comparison, purple refined armor beats stock pal metal armor by a nice little bit. Green tier fails to compare to stock of the next tier.* I don't know how the blue levels compare.
As he stated, the higher tier guns get larger clips as well as higher damage.
I keep the crossbow, because it is good for knocking that final bit of health off a boss to capture and far less prone to accidental crit than the pump shotgun.
The legendary handgun schematic can also be found in the deserts with the red locked chests. I have managed to retrieve three this way
Tip, you can freeze jetragon right now then hit with a rocket and he flies up then hits the ground and dies

totally dig the custom settings for your world. until they drop official servers, im just gonna casual it when it comes to QoL. no drop on death rly helps with the ores. why struggle, mind to your hearts content and respawn to your base with a drop box next to it. everything else ill play normal mode but giving myself the ease to do so makes it so much more enjoyable
I removed egg timers, increased drops, and lowered stamina. There's no reason to make combat easier, but lowering the grind helps a ton and mount stamina is just a comfy setting. I also like games that let you keep items on death because it's more an annoyance than anything.
@@mungolockhart3875stamina is the biggest bonus, I really feel like they should lower the base drain or something or give higher max cap levels.
I removed incubation time and doubled the dropped loot. I figured it be easier to make new pals and collect more useful resources

@skierchamp1687 yeah! Just set it to 0, and you're good to go. If you had any eggs in the incubator before you change it, you have to take them out and put them back in after you change it
theres also a legendary pelt armor that drops often from the azerobe worldboss for early game things
if you catch them and butcher them you have double drop. also : mount frostalion and rocket jetdragon or mount any dark attack bonus on player and rocket paladius. put most of your stats on attack because anyway armors give health.
i got the bow schematic on my first kill. and had no idea where it came from (i know it s my first kill because i only have 1 Kingpaca.) So i just came here to findout where they come from :D
Someone has mentioned you can also find them in chests so im now not 100% if i did get it on the first kill :D

Dang I got the blue handgun schematic earlier and didn’t even know they had extended clip and thought 10 shots was normal, I then got the legendary on my 2nd bacon kill but didn’t want to make it because of the cost.. the 8 extra shots might make it worth

I straight up pulled a legendary handgun schematic while watching this video from a silver key chest in the desert. o.O
I got the legendary pump shotgun from a random lucky suzaku. It is likely that other luckies have the ability to drop legendary schematics as well
I somehow got lucky with the bushi crossbow one and got it first try. kill boss saw the drop text and was like wait that had a high number next to it. open inventory and jaw dropped seeing the gold background.
Gotten multiple legendary schematic for many types of gears from purple chests in the open world, also i am on base rates for drops and find them more often from chests than bosses
Poison, burn, shock, and freezing them makes the catch chance go up and they do stack, be that from pals, mines, and arrows (fire and poison arrows)
If you have it on 2 or 3x. Go to these bosses at night. All but dark ones will be asleep. Then you can just pull one at a time. I started farming the big wholly mammoths at like lvl 18. I just go climb the cliff to the left, when you are coming down the path. Each time your pal is in danger, call in a new one. Keep switching them and none will die.. or, make a base and drag them there. You can have like 13 attackers or you can do the 4 Daerk things and have 5 more out at 1x.
there’s more than these ones, haven’t seen a post about them yet, the normal metal helmet comes from relaxaururs lux, only legendary schematic i’ve gotten, there’s definitely more than just these.
Fighting necromus and paladius was so much fun I have it on x3 so I had to fight 6 at one time it's a great challenge I recommend trying it! Pro tip:Bring rockets! Haha
An FYI, there are other legendary schematics that you can get from random chests. For example I have the legendary pelt armor schematic
One downside of the legendary weapons is that they now take spark plugs to repair. I used a green handgun for a while and between the fire rate and magazine size it ran through durability quite fast, so the spark plugs really added up. Happily switched to a regular single shot rifle after that so I wouldn't have to keep throwing spark plugs at the pistol XD
Recommend lowering the amount of damage they do to you up your out damage and also set the damage you take to .1 multiplier if your tamping with their appearance rate and time rate

Actually, weaker armor parts have legendary schematics as well. At the very least I got the Metal Helm Schematic from the Mossanda Lux, or the Wumpo Botan boss. I did those 2 in relatively fast succession, considering they were yeeted everywhere by my pals, the Mossanda Lux was even reset once because of this...

my typ for paladius and necromus is start the fight at the start of night and fight necromus first, this way paladius sleeps while necromus has to fight.
I mean, if you really want to cheese getting the legendary blueprints easily, turn up the day/night cycle, turn up the spawn rate, turn down the damage to player to practically nothing, turn up damage from player to max, and go farm the bosses with guns.
Do that just long enough to get the blueprints and then return to normal game settings once you've got them.
Day/night cycle doesn't matter. All bosses are on a timer.

Tip for one shotting jetragon. Take frostallion, let it freeze jetragon, fire the rocket launcher at the exposed part of the boss. Jetragon will be launched into the air like team rocket and die from fall damage.

I got a legendary rifle and a legendary coat for cold areas opening chest, it is usually the ones that require keys so good luck on the hunt. The legendary cloth armor I found it near the starting zone and the rifle I found it somewhere on the mountains on the cold side.
spent tens of hours and didnt see any of those schemes ...opened so many chests and killed specially alpha pals many times and nothing
I have looked and no one mentions the legendary pal armor in this game i have it and its great!
So it does actually matter catching vs killing if you are going for legendary schematics, catching them gets you one chance at the roll and using the butchers knife to kill the alpha pal after it's caught will net you another roll, combine that with the triple spawns and you get a potential 6 rolls for the legendary per respawn. Though it's worth noting with ammo being so tedious to craft, that the single shot rifle is still higher damage per bullet than all the legendary schematics with the exception of the rocket launcher. Which is probably why there doesn't seem to be higher quality schematics for it, that thing is a beast.

I got the legendary cross bow standard blueprint from bushi etc, how do i get the fire crossbow blueprint?? when i went to craft the one that was highlighted, it was the fire cross bow but when it was crafted i got the regular version. Is it random when crafted? or is a specific one for the fire crossbow cause the wiki dont say crap about fire blueprint.. be nice if this was explained..
The sword can mine ore and cut down trees, it's very fast at it too

capturing pals means you can butcher them for a second drop table which works for alphas
If the schematic is a drop, then I think capturing them and killing them with the butcher knife might be useful?
Also if youre like me and hate the pink color on pal metal heat armor you can find legendary refined metal heat and cold in high level dungeons in the chest rewards!! Theyre stronger than base level pal armor :)
Btw there are more you can get like the metal helmet schematic from the black Beatle boss near the swamp area

Huh, I didn't even fight Bushi for my crossbow. I forget exactly what I was doing other than doing those low level dungeon dives.
Got a green shotgun early and it just melts everything not my level or higher. Insane how good it is. 🤷♂️

There's also legendary cloth armor. So I think there's legendries for almost everything it seems.

Got a legendary cloth armor schematic this evening, unsure if worth makin when ive already got metal geat unlocked
No sooner do I find an up grade for my gear and grind the mats, only to find a replacement very soon after. Lol
The mats go up as the rarity goes up 4 to 5 times the mats for the high end gear. If you get the epic handgun it's just as deadly as the legendary and the ammo count goes up 14 rounds with the epic, only 12 rounds with the standard handgun.
Edit: Chests, farm the wildlife places, there are four, before you are buff enough to take on the end bosses, on average 12 chests per place...........bring keys, it helps.
I play with x3 pals spawn, and yesteday I loot shotgun bp and 5 min later 2 assault rifle bp :)

I've gotten a legendary schematic for the regular metal helmet from a Lucky pal catch. It was worse then a gray refined helmet so it was honestly useless lol
I was lucky to get the cold armor from Paradius the first try.
I got the handgun as well but only do 1 damage to legendary bosses. You can bulid the training dummy to test the damage but the boss just have too high defense stat, I guess.
I got me a legendary old boat schematic from a red chest requiring a copper key in the starting zone guess I was Super Lucky
I got my legendary assault rifle schematic from a chest at the end of a level 40 dungeon in the volcano area the boss was fuddler and he killed himself at the tree cause of the lava on the ground around it him dying unlocked the exit and boom both chests were purple and the left one gave me the blueprint, your welcome.
got the legendary handgun from a chest in one of the restricted area's at the corners of the map
I got metal helm 4 from warsect and pelt armor 4 from azurobe

Not gunna lie: I kinda wish Monster Hunter would let us use captured monsters (non-Elder Dragons) as mounts or alternative choices to palicos.
Rolling around (at the speed of sound) on Uragaan would be hilarious & punching monsters on while sitting on Brachydios's back would be dope! And just imagine the smile you would have riding Kulu-Ya-Ku or Dodogama around! 😂❤
They could make unlocking "monster mounts" a feature exclusive to High rank & make unlocking their saddle require hunters to max out the monster's research level + a bunch of that monster's own parts!
Ok, I'll stop daydreaming now, but let me pitch you one last example. JUST IMAGINE RESPONDING TO A HUNTER'S S.O.S RIDING ON THE BACK OF BAZELGEUSE & JUST CARPET BOMBING THE MONSTER THEY'RE FIGHTING! 😂❤ *DUH DUH! DUHDUHDUH, DA DA DA DA!*

The paldius and necromus fight is best done at night bcz paldius will be asleep allowing you to turn it into a 1v1

I got lucky with my fist play through and got a legendary rocket launcher schematic from a level 45 dungeon. The save file got corrupted like a day after I crafted it, so I sadly didn't get much time to play with my new toy.
thats not the only legendary schematics in game though as i got the refined legendary armor and i got it from a chest too i believe xD

If possible catch them. If u slaughter them then u have a chance again to get the chematics. got my legi cloth armor chematic from slaughtering chillet :p
